I love your makes. The hack idea for the camisole turned out some lovely. I also am not a fan of making window treatments but I still do it. The cushion covers are great. That is something on my to do list, just have to decide which fabrics from the stash to use. Very soon I have to make cushion covers for our sofa. The leather is wearing out. Cheaper to recover rather than buying a new sofa. Your daughter is a natural in front of the camera. Her dress is lovely and unique.
Thank you so much and thanks for watching! I think home furnishings are always a bit of a task but so nice when it's done as you say and much cheaper :) x
Love all your makes as well. Your Darling Ranges dress in that lovely embroidered chambray was stunning :) Your daughter is so articulate! I laughed when describing the fabric she chose for her dress, "You can see it's all flowers and butterflies, the usual summer stuff" so true :) Her dress was lovely on her too and the blinds you made for her bedroom are perfect. You might want to check out Love Notions patterns - they are very reasonable and have $5 sale every Friday. They have several patterns that sizing-wise go from children to adult and may have a smocked dress. I'm sure you'll find some cute makes for your daughter in there as well. Another pattern company here in Canada is Jalie patterns and they have an incredible size range from children's to adult - you could easily "share" a pattern with your daughter and they have some very cute patterns. Thank you for creating these really informative videos!
Thank you so much I love having Lilly in the videos too so cute haha! Thank you I will check out those patterns I'm always on the look out for new children's pattern companies going from children to adult is such a fab idea - maybe we can have a matching dress ;) Thanks so much for watching and for your lovely encouraging feedback I really appreciate it xxx
I didn't know the SOI cami existed when I bought the Ogden, but now I feel like I need that pattern too! You're so right about the bra strap situation 😂
Lovely podcast and your projects are beautiful, I am always looking for projects to do with my granddaughters and I think the pillow your daughter made was absolutely perfect. She looks so cute in her dress and she is quite good at podcasting herself. Thank you for showing all your June makes, they are very inspirational and I definitely will be trying out your pattern for the envelope cushion cover. Thank you!
Kathy Scott thank you so much! Yes she’s more confident than me that’s for sure haha. I think that style of cushion cover is a perfect first project but I did have to help cut out of course xx
Thanks for sharing all of your lovely makes, your darling ranges dress is beautiful! What a shame about the wool and the gang cardigan but thanks for sharing as that’s good to know xx
I think I’m going to have to invest in the Darling Ranges pattern. I have some darker blue chambray looking linen viscose mix I think it would suit. I really loved you version with the embroidered/Lacey hem x
Beautiful makes! I've just bought the darling ranges dress pattern....I'll have to rewatch your other vlog about what change you made to make it sleeveless, as I'd like to do the same. Your daughter is adorable! Cute little dress 😍. Xx
Lovely makes, I’d love to see how you added the button front to the SOI silk cami. I have a printed pattern for that one. Picked it up at a thrift store. I think it may have been included in a sewing magazine? Your daughter is adorable btw:)
Love your makes. Your daughter is so cute, such a gorgeous dress. I used to love sewing dresses for my daughter but now she is a teenager and only wears sports kits!! 😂
Lovely makes! I noticed you made a few things with buttons. Wondering what sewing machine you have? and how you find it to be. My machine is terrible at buttonholes, so I avoid them :( Also, with shirring, I just did some for the first time a couple weeks ago( In my puff sleeve top video), been 4 years and I never tried it! It was actually super easy, It is just time consuming. The fabric will shrink by about half ,in the shirring areas.
Helenasew thank you so much for watching. I have a Janome Atelier 6 it’s quite new but handles buttonholes really well. I much prefer buttonholes to zips!! Ooh thank you I’ll pop over and have a look at your video, I think I’ll have to give it a go it does look really lovely xx
Lovely makes and cute little girl...into sewing already ..amazing!
Thank you very much I'm glad you like them :) xx

Haha yes! I have a couple of Ogdens but I much prefer the silk cami for the straps I don't really wear my Ogden cami's much for that reason x

Your silk cami looks great 🙂 I've made a few of those too. I agree it looks good in a drapey type fabric. The agnes is also one of my favourites! 💖
