I really like your dress. The check is such pretty, bright colors. Your hoodie is great - I love the lining. Looking forward to seeing the Kielo dress. Have a lovely week!
I always enjoy your videos. I'm watching from hospital this week, it was nice to have a bit of distraction with your video today. Last night I cut out the Nova jumpsuit pattern. I've never made a jumpsuit before but when I saw yours a couple of weeks ago I really wanted to make one. In fact I have totally copied you-Minerva ship to Switzerland so I bought the exact same navy fabric as you. When I get home I'll be cutting it out and sewing it up on my new Bernina L890 overlocker. Something to look forward to while I am 'stuck' in here. I was also inspired to ask my husband to bring in the Stretch book today. Your Freya tops are such a good staple and this pattern is one I keep meaning to have a look at but somehow don't get around to it. Nothing to distract me from doing that today. I hope you all have a great weekend.
I hope you are able to get home from hospital soon and recover well 😊❤️ That’s lovely to know you’re making a Nova jumpsuit too. I have really enjoyed wearing mine, it’s been so comfy and I’ve enjoyed layering it up whilst the weather is still chilly here. I hope you like it too - and the Freya top! Great that Minerva ship to Switzerland too, that’s very handy. Hope you can get home and enjoy some sewing time very soon.

Hi Cath You look lovely in your outfit of the day I like the pink colour way The hooded top looks good I’ve got those books myself and was looking to make that I’ve been to an Abakan massive clearance sale today It was amazing you could fill a bag for £10 I had over 31 pieces 3 were for coats 18 for tops plus lots more it was great also patterns were £2 I bought 7 I think or 8 such a great day Have a good week Cath xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Paula Wow that sounds like a great sale, sounds like you got some amazing bargains! Hope you enjoy making some lovely sewing plans with what you got 😊 Hope you have a good week too! Xx ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes good day out Cath and they have a lovely restaurant there and to put the icing on the cake Debra from the sewing bee was shopping there and we had a little chat She was lovely Have a good week too Cath and thank you xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Cath, lovely makes! Your vlogs are always so helpful and inspiring. I really appreciate the extra mile with your tips and reflections - I'm currently cutting out a Jarrah View C and using your tip of a facing for the ties to hide the back of my French Terry.
Your sweatshirt dress is really cute. I love your choice of animal print for the hood lining. It's so cheerful. I think the white cord would look lovely with it though. I don't think it would be too much. Now I want to make a hoodie dress too from that pattern. I had passed it by before, but I really like yours. I really didn't care for the sleeveless version before, but now that I look at it again, I really like it. I'm sure it would be nice and cool and comfy for Summer in a jersey knit. I think I might start with that one since we are heading into warmer weather, hopefully, and it would also use less fabric to try the pattern out and see if I like it first.
Thank you very much 😊 I like how the animal print hood lining brightens the dress up too. I need to buy some more cording so I might get some black and white and try both, as I’m sure I’ll use whichever one I don’t go for with another project. Yes I think the sleeveless one would be great for a comfy summery knit dress too! Hope you enjoy trying the pattern if you do decide to 😊
Great video as usual. I love the leopard print with the Stella. I'd actually be tempted to put a little slice between the sleeve and the rib band. 🤔 Have fun!
Thanks for sharing..I really like the long sweatshirt dress. So incredibly practical to throw on and go. The lining is lovely. I am so inspired that you use your scraps.....you have always done that. The striped fabric seems like it would look nice and I'm curious as to how it will turn out. Enjoy your week.
Thank you yes I will definitely be throwing the sweatshirt dress on a lot 😊 I was glad to brighten it up a bit with the lining fabric. Thanks I’ll report back on the striped fabric once the dress is all finished Hope you have a good week too 😊
Thanks so much. I just bought some knit fabric that has the fleece backing yesterday. I was just going to do some research. then you pointed out Billie sweatshirt dress. I have that book and pattern. Yay.
Hi Cath, the stella hoodie is great I have the pattern in the book and the paper one too from ages ago. I love the oufit you are wearing and I have made the freya in so many variations too, well just everything from the stretch book. Have a great week and enjoy your sewing. ☺
Good morning Cathy. Great fabric pattern for the hood lining that will keep you lovely and warm. I missed last week's video so I will catch up now. The dress you are wearing today is gorgeous ,looks wonderful with the sweater underneath. I have been brave enough to use knitted fabric ,I know there are lots out there too . Did you use the over locker to make it ? Another lovely video from you thank you. Have a lovely weekend. Xx
Thank you very much, I can’t wait to get the hoodie finished as it’s still so chilly here! I usually prefer to sew knit fabrics on my sewing machine 😊 Hope you have a lovely weekend too xx
Love your hoodie dress & can’t wait to see it on you. I’ve made the stella joggers (2 pairs) & hoodie and wear both on regular rotation. Tilly’s patterns are so wearable.
They are really wearable aren’t they! I’ve really enjoyed trying the Stella hoodie! I’d be interested to try to joggers too and see how they compare to the Hudson pants!
Yes you use it for the bobbin too and you can wind it on just like you would do with a standard thread 😊👍 Thank you, it has been fun figuring out how I’d like the hoodie to fit, hoping it’ll be a really useful item!
I think your sweatshirt dress will be cute!, might I suggest making the hood drawstring out of the same fabric you used for the hood lining.
Thank you! Ooh I hadn’t considered that, lovely idea thanks!

I love the striped fabric. I think it will look very striking as the wrap dress.
Thank you, I’m glad I snapped it up even though it’s a bit different to what I normally choose!

The Stretch book is a really good book isn’t it! Very wearable patterns and fun to sew too.
Thank you so much, I hope you have a great week too 😊
I made the Love Notions Boyfriend cardigan with hood ... it also looks great with jeans or a dress....
Oh fab I will check that pattern out as I’ve not come across it before!

The Stella hoodie is great I have made 5 but haven’t made the dress version yet. One on my list
It’s a lovely pattern isn’t it, I’ve really enjoyed sewing it and seeing how nicely it comes together! I can see myself making more too!

Definitely a loser fit & higher in the waist. Just depends on your style preference. Nice to have choices available.
@cathmckeever2728 that’s good to know thanks!
Great to see you. Great vlog! I reached 1K yesterday on my channel!
Thank you very much!
Congratulations on 1k, that’s fab! 😊
Hi there. Do you use Maraflex thread in bobbin as well as needle? Your hoodie looks like a fun project. 😊
Yes you use it for the bobbin too and you can wind it on just like you would do with a standard thread 😊👍
Thank you, it has been fun figuring out how I’d like the hoodie to fit, hoping it’ll be a really useful item!
😊😊😊
😊😊❤️
Watching while ironing 8 yards of very stubborn quilting cotton 👀
Oh gosh, well done, hope you were able to get it to behave!
Than no you 🎉
😊❤️
Or, you could make heavier leggings for cooler weather😊?
That’s a good idea too!
xXX👍👍👍
