- Follow along as I strip, refinish and reassemble my late 1980s polished aluminum ATB. It goes from ugly duckling to a real head turner that rides every bit as good as it looks.

well done Sir good bike transformation :) I am very inspired.
Glad to hear that.
That bike looks amazing Evan
thank you. It's also a lot of fun to ride.
I like what u did with grinding down the welds smooth
Thank you. I'm very proud of it.
The chrome cleaned up very nice. Also I really like the no decal look. Well done! 🍻
Thank you Mario. I think I might have a bit of hand pin striping done on it. I'm not a fan of all the decals, but I would like an accent.
Nice 👍 job
Thank you. I think it was worth all the effort.
I'll give you an incentive registration and wish you success ❤😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
I must also add that i think that bike is to be mid 90's at best for a Huffy.
Thank you for your input. Do you know if they still used cantilever brakes in the mid 90's.
Cantilever brakes, non V style, live still to this day but seemed to faze out at bike shops in the early 2000's as lower end bikes seemed to all have at least v style brakes. @@NewLifeforOldBikes
Even in 1996 one could still snag a M2 Metal matrix specialized stumpjumper with full xt and with xt cantis as a non front shock model.
@@thinkpadBentnoseTheBlindI appreciate the info. I thought they were phased out in the early 90's.
Wear can I buy that crank removal tool at or what's it called
Just look up crank puller tool on ebay. Hundreds will pop up. it's also available on Amazon.
