- So here is the overall class tier list for dragon age inquisition for rouge, mage and warrior. In the future a tier list for every spec together will come however working it out will take a while. This is for the general classes compared to each other in a solo play through. When having a party of 4 it is usually best to take all classes.

Reaver and Tempest is just the most fun classes to play as personally. I'm all for the whole glass canon type of build. The amount of dps you can do is utterly insane, it's fast-paced, and exhilarating.
total agree, Reaver is probably the most fun I've had on this game.
what I got from the video:
1) warriors rock
2) rogues have a lot of potential (zero to hero)
3) Mages suck.
I'm sad, considering I love playing as a mage.
PLAY MAGE :D Im in the long process (due to work) of a new tier list. Honestly nothing sucks, I've soloed the entire game nightmare with trials all DLC as a mage they are GREAT! but warriors and rouges late game are just gods thats the big thing. I hope this helps :)

That's a solo ranking though. Mages bring a lot of utility to the party and I don't really see the point to run solo during the first game at least. But I have to say that removing blood magic and most of the heal in inquisition really gutted them hard compared to what they were in Origins and DA2
I tried playing a mage up to level 14 and I just kept on dying and dying and yeah mages suck and there armor looks stupid as hell until late game
@@mythicmars4848 you gotta know how to use it. And who to have in your party as well. I played mage multiple times on nightmare and had great runs. Especially when you unlock knight commander its op

Mages are a bit hampered against bosses, because they're all about control and AoE, and bosses are immune to almost all controlling effects and require single-target damage to beat fast. Against general mobs, they're still by far the slowest, more cautious class. You wait, you barrier, you CC, and you grind everyone down with AoE. Here a suggestion: how about a video about which classes are better for the player character to use, and which ones are better relegated to the party members? And, y'know, what behaviors are better for them in those setups, etc?

If you attune your mage with the opposite element as the dragon's (eg. frost vs fire), the mage is god tier DMG along with a rogue in dragon fight.

I think that mages are great early game, using static cage in conjuction to a two handed warrior using whirlwind.
Edgelord 69 all classes are great a and need in a party, but as I said at the start this is for solo, and mages struggle with that a lot.
Great content StarFlorge, keep it coming! I'm still enjoying the game (especially with Cheat Engine for item appearance changes/banter trigger, and Mods) and I'm glad you are too. When you're done with your All-spec Tier List, what would you think of doing a most fun list? You could split it for solo and group play. Personally, overall, I'd go Rogue -> Mage -> Warrior with Artificer and Rift Mage being the top 2 most fun specs.
i agree 100% mages were so OP in origins its weird to see them so trash
I would not call mages OP, they killed you more then they killed their enemy. As such, where horrible to use, outside of spirit healer.

Meh I found mages OP more in DA2 than Origins.
@Drums of Liberation Build em right enough and you don't even have to bother pumping con (unless a blood mage potentially) or willpower at all via gear.

if you want most broken possible damage and big numbers, artificer rogue with throwing knives. with perks for cooldown reduction on critical hits. if you want to never die go champion warrior

In Mid-Late game KE-Mage is GodTier...
Hayabusha58 Compared to warrior and rogue? Also this was an overall/general tier list. I will in the future do one with every spec against every spec. so KE, rift mage and Necro v champion etc etc you get the point :)
Well, I wanna see that ^^ Im glad to see now at days this kind of content; builds and guides about BioGames bcs im a little powergamer and always want to see new ideas to improve my chars ^3^
i would generally agree with this tier list. The only exception being knight enchanter mage built for fire mine and energy barrage damage and cool down is about neck and neck with any warrior in my opinion but that would be specific rather than gereral.

Mages is really soo bad ? If i remenber, the energy barrage crits does a massiva dmg if you jnvest in critical hit, in fact, mages are generally focus on multiple target dmg, but i belivie hes a much dmg potencial, maybe same as warrior. Im sad to know about this :( . But very good video, and sorry for my bad inglish
Mages are very bad for Dragon Age Inquisition. There were good in Origins.
They aren't terrible but in comparison to the other specs? Yeah they aren't really at their tier. Fire mine can do insane damage (with the barrier passive) but everything else they do seems to hit like a wet noodle (well there is winters grasp too I suppose but that requires chill and is single target).
Mages are ok for trash but terrible for bosses, KI big thing is being invincible which is fun but it's damage output is just poor... Rift Mage has really nice CC but thats rendered useless on things immune to their pulls and Necro is ok damage (compared to the other two) but it's skills are lackluster... Like Horror... You generally don't want things spreading out when you are AoEing lol.
Mages great thing is CC... except bosses are completely immune to their effects which further hampers their effectiveness. Compared to Rogue and Warrior when it comes to all around effectiveness there is no doubt all the mage specs are lowest on the totem pole. Especially when you consider AoE isn't something limited to Mages, Rogues and Warriors can do that too... usually better lol.
and then came the Knight-Enchanter...over the god
KE was nerfed a lot, I'd take a rogue over KE

So I'm getting back into my mage playthrough after doing as much as possible for my rogue playthrough. Any tips, especially after seeing this video?
TBC I would say have a look at my solo mage let's plays, have a few uploaded. really shows off how to play it well in most cases xD. Most of the time you should aim for frost cc and burst damage build but have a tactician renewal to swap skills when mons are immune to frost.

I think this is a matter of perspective. I mean I've played all the classes and all the specs and tbh the only time I've enjoyed playing a warrior was with my 2h reaver (beastly) 'cause templar and champion were blend and boring, with the mages it was quite te oposite, the only spec I didn't feelt OP was the necromancer, 'cause the RM and the KE were GODLIKE each in their own way of course; last but certainly not least the rogues ... all 3 of 'em get really OP late game. But overall the RM was the one I enjoyed the most of 'em all cause it fits so well into the story and from a gameplay perspective they're really OP, with the best CC and AoEn the game period and their damage once fully maxed out is second only to a fully maxed out artificer (if you play as a fire/lighting RM you have infinite mana and no cooldown thus you can cast cast cast cast and cast 😈) the only times I felt the RM falls short compared to KE, reaver or rogues is against fire based dragons
Dude knight enchanter is invincible on hardest setting. Try it. It's the only class that is better than the fighters. 😂
Says rogues dont have damage when its the only class that can get the heavy hitter achievement pre level 10. This list is backwards imo. Only because if you play the rogue appropriately you dont need guard to live. Multiple ways to get invisibility up constantly.
Mages are way ahead of Warriors if you have the ring of doubt and it is something very easy to get and you can get before of lv10, I think that you're the best YT of DA but I really hate how you're biased against mages.
Rogues really are very broken in this game, but only for the Inquisitor, they are worthless for the CPU (honorable mention to Cole with uber gear, but everyone should be good with uber gear), Warriors also suffer from the Mage disease to sucks against bosses, less Reaper's and KE's.
I would put like this:
For the inquisitor = Rogues > Mages > Warriors
For the AI = Warriors > Spirit + Ice Mage > abyss > darkspawn world > more abyss > Rogues.
ok this might be weird but if you dont care about surviving with warrior which is the most fun?

Mage offer great utility, but individual get out done by warriors never dying and doing a lot of damage, and then rogues literally killing everything in seconds, even dragons with the right stuff

I might be making 2 new ones up to date. 1 for crafted gear, 1 without. I have now experienced all classes solo nightmare with trials.
Out of all the mage classes, with optimal perks and gear which has the best damage output?
Rift mage, due to the crazy mana regen and if you could just take every passive you would regen your cd's very fast too.

My favourite class is mage, then a tie between rogues and reaver. This tier list is a hot topic for debate, but I generally think it's still quite accurate :)

starforge , i don't know If u can help me, but i'm I'm having problems with my game, every time I click it to open, it simply closes, and I tried to look for this error, I tried to change the disk where it was saved, and it did not work, I just spent money on a game that I can not play anymore , Would you help me?
This may or may not help, but I had a similar issue with the DAI client awhile ago. I ran the Origin repair utility and it worked for me. If that doesn't work I'd try running the client with administrator privileges.
Do not use the 60fps cutscene fix. Seems to cause a lot of problems.
Arthur Cappellari unfortunately I don't know of this problem and haven't seen it. So all I can suggest is running a repair on it and then use admin rights. If all else fails you can reinstall the game. I hope it gets fixed soon.

You need the 4 tiers to properly understand the power levels
You just dont know how to play mage :p drain health and freeze level 1-2 for heal and cc and then into arcane shield for 3 plus heal your set on nightmare and doing alot of damage

I'm late as shit to this😂, I've had this game since it came out, I've only played it up to level 9/10 once and never played since, can someone soon up a good build to use, i see the tier list but can someone just give me a rundown pls

True in general... But I'd put Warrior's a God-tier throughout. With the right build you literally can't die. You can basically solo everything, and not even truly struggle.
I do despise how they ruined the great balance of Dragon Age 2, that was one thing they got right... Also way less clunky mechanics. It's a pity they had absolute shit maps, introduced the conversation wheel, ruined Anders, and chose to confine the story to such a small part of the world. It could have been their greatest work without that, but it was not to be...(they also had some minor issues with how the tactics section worked. But not as much as Inquisition, and mods easily fixed it. I didn't really think it such a huge issue).
