Matthew 17:5 KJV “While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”
Just starting the video and I'm excited about this. Earlier this week I was given a glimpse into what this means so I hope to find some confirmation above and beyond what I already believe. God is sooo amazing!!!
Thank you Pastor for such a powerful sermon🙏, I feel blessed and encouraged to hang on the faith of Jesus in me to get back up And start a new life of faith in n Him. I've been struggling for years now but I couldn't pull myself up to get to where I used to......🙏🙏🙏🙏 I know it's not enough listening to all the 3ABN programs 😔
Romans 1:16 KJV 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
wow what a nice explicit candid well spoken with clear unmistakableness presentation may the God you serve bless you abundantly with His rich divine graces to go on foward to prepare a people and the world for a new era , the kingdom of Jesus Christ amen
Each word, each action, is a work for God. Here is faith in God, and faith in men. Christ would never have given His life for the human race if He had not faith in the souls for whom He died. He knew that a large number would respond to the love He had expressed for humanity. It is not every heart that responds, but every heart may, and can if it will, respond to that love that is without parallel. “My sheep hear my voice,” Christ said. A heart yearning for God will recognize the voice of God. God cannot respond to one soul that does not respond to His grace offered, His love bestowed. He is waiting for a response from souls.... Eph 2 v8,9 also includes v10-we are His workmanship/we need to be worked on put off the old man put on the new man John 3 v3 except a man be born again he can not enter. Kingdom
What the dear brother is preaching is an evangelical gospel that says salvation is all done at the cross and stresses justification as the all in all of salvation while minimizing the work of sanctification, but James 2:26 says "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." What was the faith of Jesus always connected to? John 15:10 "If ye keep my commandments ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in His love." He also said, John 14:11 "Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very work's sake." Interestingly, Rev.14:12 describes God's people just before the second coming as "keeping God's commandments and the faith of Jesus." The "faith of Jesus" is always connected to the keeping of God's commandments! Gal.5:6 tells us that this "faith works by love." The keeping of God's commandments through His enabling grace is the work of sanctification. It is a necessary work that God does in us when we choose to follow Jesus as our example. A statement from MYP 35 makes it clear how necessary sanctification is: "Righteousness within is testified to by righteousness without. He who is righteous within is not hard-hearted and unsympathetic, but day by day he grows into the image of Christ, going on from strength to strength. He who is being sanctified by the truth will be self-controlled, and will follow in the footsteps of Christ until grace is lost in glory. The righteousness by which we are justified is imputed; the righteousness by which we are sanctified is imparted. The first is our title to heaven, the second is our fitness for heaven." One more for good measure from ISM 366 -"As the sinner looks to the law, his guilt is made plain to him, and pressed home to his conscience, and he is condemned. His only comfort and hope is found in looking to the cross of Calvary. As he ventures upon the promises, taking God at His word, relief and peace come to his soul. He cries, “Lord, Thou hast promised to save all who come unto Thee in the name of Thy Son. I am a lost, helpless, hopeless soul. Lord, save, or I perish.” His faith lays hold on Christ, and he is justified before God. But while God can be just, and yet justify the sinner through the merits of Christ, no man can cover his soul with the garments of Christ’s righteousness while practicing known sins, or neglecting known duties. God requires the entire surrender of the heart, before justification can take place; and in order for man to retain justification, there must be continual obedience, through active, living faith that works by love and purifies the soul."
