How much snow does the bottom of the shoe catch and does it impact the fitment with the binding?

a whole bunch. There's another video out there and the guy is in pretty much perfect conditions for this not to happen and he has a huge ball of snow stuck in the back of the mechanism on the boot. I fought with these from 2016-2020. My family in their straps were locked in and ready to go most of the time while I was fighting snow in the binding. Not only that but K2 just glues the top of the boot to the sole. The sole is locked to the binding and your foot has to pull the top of the boot up to make the board move. Well when you only glue 1" of material to the sole the top of the boot rips off the sole after a season and a half. After 2 sets of boots in 4 seasons which K2 wouldn't warranty I was done. Went and bought Burton Step ons and couldn't be happier. They don't clog with snow, they're way more comfortable and responsive.

Hey Dee! I used the Clicker X HB system a bunch the last couple of seasons and never really dealt with too much snow build up. Not any more than I have experienced with the Flow binding systems or the Burton Step-On systems. Will it happen, sure. It happens with any binding system. But I will trade the few times I have to pound off some snow or ice for the convenience of easy-in, easy-out. - Rob

What is the proper clearance between the heal cuff and boots.

Hey! I'm not sure what the exact measurement is for clearance but the heel cup adjusters are labeled for the correct boot size setting which makes the setup pretty easy.
