      @@bogus696996 well actually...
      The battery is honestly good enough. I get around 10 hours of screen on time with REALLY heavy usage. Like 3 hours of call of duty every day. And the camera is great; check out mrwhosethebeast's video on comparing it to the Galaxy s10 and Huawei p30 pro, some of the best phones in the market for cameras. And finally, while there is no wireless charging (bummer but I really don't care personally) if you live by wireless charging, there is a product on Amazon that turns any phone into a wireless charging phone. You will give up the use of the port, but it works if you only charge wirelessly.

    The lack of an IP rating is always brought up, but I kinda don't care about it. After seeing multiple reviewers submerge this phone anywhere from 10 mins to 40 mins in total with no damage, I'm convinced that it's pretty damn water resistant. Also, just because a phone does have an IP rating doesn't mean you should be swimming with it. It's just a measure of water resistance. That doesn't mean it's waterproof..

    • @markcossman200
      @markcossman200 5 лет назад +28

      Why would anyone purposely put their phone in water? It's electronics...& water and electronics don't mix. Water resistance is for getting caught in the rain with no umbrella...even then hopefully the phone is in your pocket.

      To be fair, I don't really get the obsession of having better and better camera on a smartphone. Most smartphones nowadays take decent enough photo for you to post on Instagram. If you want to be pro, most pros use dedicated professional camera, not smartphones. So really, other than bragging points, what is the point of having more and more features on your smartphone nowadays?

    • @Boristien405
      @Boristien405 5 лет назад +15

      Camera isn't an issue with OP6T or OP7 Pro. Both have the best cameras for their price. OP7 pro right now has a top 5 camera on a smartphone. It's not lacking in any way, it only was in the beginning. People just want all this editing done for them instead of actually using the hardware to their advantage. If you know cameras and can use settings or edit yourself you're better off shooting RAW with OP7 Pro. Way better than any Pixel phone that's for sure. But for the casual uneducated snap and shoooter pixel works great. But if you really care about quality then you should know how to unlock it. Something tells me you haven't actually seen OP7 pro in action because it takes great pics. I'd say after the updates it's better than S10 plus camera, especially if you're knowledge about cameras

    I've been thinking about buying this phone and most of the cons don't bother me too much. One con that you should have mentioned, was this phone has no expandable storage. Which was one of my biggest pet peeves back when I was rocking an iPhone. That being said 256gb is pretty good, and I think they didn't add that feature was because of faster file transfers.

    • @Dxntoo
      @Dxntoo 5 лет назад

      Late reply but screw it. I'm currently rocking a 128gb version and I can say that storage isn't an issue for me as most things are stored online. I use Google Drive and Google Photos. Unless you're a gamer, I think not having expandable storage shouldn't be a major compromise.

    + Fast Storage
    + OxygenOS
    + Performance
    + Software Updates
    - No headphone jack
    - No Expandable storage (I now 256GB ROM is much but Micro SD CArds are more convenient...)
    - Curved screen sides (Because of reflections and durability)
    - Way to oversized (5.5 Inch version would be nice to see)
    - Non-removable battery (yes that's a point, yes we have 2019...)

    I loooove the size!! Bigger is always better. I don't really care about the headphone jack. I've been using wireless earbuds for 2 years now. Wireless charging is to slow to be something that I would miss. I personally feel that one plus made up for it by the insane 30warp charge. The only thing that DOES bother me is NO IP RATING!! And the cameras aren't a big deal. You can always download the pixle camera apk

  • @heastin92532

    I agree, to save money, I can live without Wireless charging and having a actual IP rating, for me, my phones have never been pool side or even near the shower, maybe by the sink but thats it. The size of the phone, I actually have gotten use to it. I have had to use some hand acrobatics to manage sometimes but not to the point to where I wanted to get rid of the phone or sell it, and my hands are only average in size. Overall, the One Plus 7 pro, has provided the best Android experience. There has been absolutely no lag and I even put my sim card from my iPhone in it, so I now rock only one phone as my personal and work phone.

    Wireless charging is super convenient. Here in the US, it's in my local airport, restaurants,. Coffee shops, it's in my car and many other places. It's so convenient. If you're in the airport, you don't have to rummage through your bags to find the power brick and cable the try and find a wall outlet that's not being used. Just put your phone on the table while you stop for coffee or on the dash as you drive across town and your phone gets topped off. Buy on for the house and I rarely use my charging brick. Does it replace the brick? No, it doesn't, but it's extremely nice to have the choice.

    Size - We choose our phone based on what size we need. If you do not want a phablet don’t buy it!
    Jack - old, move on. Bluetooth is the future. Just use a dongle if you want to use your wired headphones.
    Inductive charging - less than 30% of wireless charging phone’s users even use it. More of a gimmick than anything.
    IP rating - means nothing. Even with an IP68 rating you are not covered with a warranty for water damage, so what is the point. Test show the OP7P is IP68 rated just not certified. All the IP rating is, simple marketing.
    Camera - just side load Gcam. However, most average consumers will be happy with the OP7P camera.
    What OnePlus have done is cut out gimmicks and marketing that Samsung fans are drawn to and influencers put too much weight on. But they have added WARP charging, 90Hz refresh rate, no notch display and maintain their excellent support (why second hand values are far superior than Samsung phones). These to many are far more significant than what is absent and the fact that you cannot get a discount on the OP7P yet the S10+ is now cheaper than the OP7P tells us that OnePlus got it right.

    I got a 7 Pro a week ago for £549. It's incredible in almost every way, but my biggest frustration is the curved edges on the display. 1) the lack of any false - input rejection is something to note

    3) the "selfie" camera is terrible any in type of bright environment ( lack of auto focus )
    4) the amplifier is weak for playing music, regardless of how you tweak it.
    5) Bluetooth audio in car seems to be particularly low. It seems that it needs a software update as well.
    6) the screen may be beautiful indoors or minimal sunlight, but the brightness/NIT level is low compared to any modern Samsung. It makes it hard to see when doing certain task in direct sunlight.

    There is no reason they needed to remove the headphone jack. Biggest feature I miss on my 7P over my 5T. Second is the lack of a constant notification light or something. I have only been using it for 2 days and I have had to wake the phone about 5000 times to see if I missed a message or anything. I do some work where I do not want my phone in my pocket. So each time I come back to desk, I have to wake it to view if I missed notifications. The horizon light is worthless as it only does the edge lighting once and it coincides with the screen waking to show me a text came in. So the horizon lighting does nothing but duplicate the screen coming on to show me what just came in. This needs to be a repeating thing. I do not want the screen waking up every second to show me my text came in, but I would love if the edge would light and repeat each second or maybe 2 seconds. I will take the battery hit. Has to be less than waking my phone each time I look at it to see if I missed anything. I know, I do not need to be so glued to my phone, but kids do not understand that since they grew up with a device in their hands.

    I just got a nebula blue OnePlus 7 pro (8 ram 256 rom) and I just have a camera app that can optimize the hardware like a pixel. Or I can even download pixel software directly. I definitely suggest this phone because it is an Android and anything (software) you don't like can be changed easily and freely.

      Funny, because Samsung is also ditching the headphone jack going forward starting with the Note 10.

    Honestly the biggest downfall of the phone you didn't mention is the curved edges on the screen. It's so hideous and impossible not to inadvertently touch the display. It hurts my experience more than any other con.
