You are so creative Spencer. As always, this was fun and mesmerizing to watch. Impressed with the editing on the vocal work to get it in the correct time. Well done.
The more time I spend doing art (music and films) the more I realize that having "skill" and "talent" is really just having super refined taste. The best songwriters and producers aren't the best because they're super technical, they're the best because they just know what works well together and have the ability to tap into that. It's pretty crazy to think about.
Another great one, Spencer! The best way to find out that Hip Hop isn't easy is to try it yourself. A month ago I tried it for the very first time. At the moment I'm working on the music video. With some luck the video makes the song better, lol. Regardless the genre when it comes to music, the most important thing is having fun.
It's incredible what you learn from just trying a different style of music. I'm getting into folk music, and I never realized how challenging finger picking is!
@@songsbyspencer I started out playing the guitar with finger picking. I practiced Blackbird by The Beatles around 1200 times when I was 15. Being able to play it was my life goal back then. Now I started playing again more than 40 years later and the funny thing is I still can play Blackbird and some other finger picking stuff. It's like riding a bike, once you get it, you will not unlearn it.
What do you think the future of independent music containing even 1 second long copyrighted samples will be when the google (or other) ai detection bots start crawling through all the streaming services and potentially hit all the artists with somekind of copyright strike or just automatically remove them?
I'm not sure of the future in that regard, but it has the potential to be a giant bummer. In some cases I can get it, but samples are usually so manipulated that the original work is hardly even identifiable. That being said, I'm pretty sure the AI is already sophisticated enough that it could identify copyrighted music quite easily. In the video where I react to my old music RUclips demonetized the video because it detected Soulja Boy's "Crank Dat" when I was playing a guitar solo over it. It immediately flagged it the second it was uploaded- which kindof blew me away.
the old analogue samples have so many transformers tape saturation, a master they sound so rich!! Another great one Spencer!! You always inspire me to finger drum more..that's a sick kit by the way, nice choice....and another belter!!
It's a ton of fun and really forces creativity, as most samples require manipulation to work together. In regards to the legality of it, it's a big gray area. Hip hop producers have been sampling for years and there have been lawsuits, but I think for the most part people are cool with it.
Thanks for diving deeper into the DAW while still doing your thing, super educational 😊 cool rapping man 😎 Small question, why did you mono the first sample before stereoing it later?
To be honest, I didn't even notice that I did that! I'll have to watch it back. The next video I'm editing now also gets a little more in depth in the DAW, as I think it gives the videos a bit more substance.
It's called "4K Video Downloader". I got tired of using sketchy websites to rip stuff online so I downloaded that app. I have it on two computers and have been using it for the better part of a year. So far no problems, works perfectly!
That’s my man! Thanks for sharing this bruh!
So glad you like it and I appreciate the support!
Your ability to turn any input, musical or otherwise, into a song is incredible.
Congratulations, you hit the jackpot again. 👏👏👏
Thank you so much!!
Agree, it's stunning and motivating.
MIND IS FUc12n BLOWN!!!! Love this!!!
Glad you like it!

dude, it's just in the heart. As someone who has some connection to music, I see years of hard work.
It's all about the heart, no doubt about it!
Hello Spencer. Another video which is both fascinating and inspiring in equal measure.
Please keep up the good work!
Thanks for the love and will do!
Wow, just WOW!
Glad you dig it!
Great tune!
You are sooooooooooooooo correct that it isn't easy.

@@songsbyspencer I agree with you 100% The outsider genre of music sort of proves your theory. I make tunes from random samples using your theory.
I find your videos very inspiring! Keep up the great work you're doing. I'm glad I stumbled upon your RUclips channel!
So glad to hear this! Thanks for the support it means so much
Impressive fingerdrumming. Also impressive everything else.
I plan on doing a finger drum solo video soon. It always seems to get people's attention!
Fun and that's what its all about.
Without some fun, life isn't worth living!
Each element in its place, and great to hear them all come together.
It's the most satisfying part of writing and recording music!
That was fantastic! I really enjoyed that! I love that you go so above and beyond! Impressive! Can’t wait for the next one! ✌🏻❤️
Thank you so much, Ben! It means a lot.

I love your videos, and you killed it with your rap part, the song sounded awesome.
Thanks, dude!

That’s a great question…..I also wonder what will be. ✌️➕❤️

This hit so good! Awesome work dude 🔥🎧 Love the bam chic’a wah wah’s 👌
Appreciate it!!
Amazing. Can’t wait to see what you can come up with sampling other genres like delta blues (Son House).
I've got some more sample videos planned! I'll have to checkout some old blues records.
@@songsbyspencer the intro from Son House's DEATH LETTER would make a killer sample.
Great video again. I should spend more time on sampling. Never been deep into this. Just wondering how much is allowed?
