By the way: Miss you Larry. Recover soon. U2 is just U1 without you. ❤

Out of all the songs U2 play, this song should've had the craziest visuals but they didn't even bother. C'mon Willie Wiliams! Utilize that billion dollar LED screen to its potential! & bring back Larry!

@@JohnLoughney Exactly, it doesn't feel quite right without Larry and they should show more visuals of the band. It seems like U2 is secondary to the venue. Show U2 on that screen for all their glory. Comedian Bill Burr even agrees

The show needs more breaks between 6 or 7 songs. Bono sounded a little tired during the encore and this song particulary needs more energy.

Noticeably different grooveprint with Bram, but he's pulling off a Herculean achievement with these shows. It still sounds great, even if it isn't completely familiar.

Couldn't wait to see the first live views from inside and the premiere show. Looks amazing. But. Isn't the technology dominating the music? For sure it's stunning to see them on that kind of a screen. And the art work is really fantastic. But I miss the passion. The real heart. The real U2 fans that can't afford a stay in Vegas and ticket prices like that. 22 years ago my friend Martin and I went to the Waldbühne in Berlin to see them. Just a rusty old stage in the middle of a forrest looking like a tent. Old grandstand like an antique amphitheatre for around 20.000 people. A little similar to the sphere. But. Real sky instead of movies. Real birds. Real atmosphere. Real people. Real music. So basic. For me the ideal surrounding to enjoy their music and live performance. They didn't need all that stuff to be on top of the music world. I really don't no what to think about the residency yet. Might be worth it. Just for comparison. Must think about it. Worst thing: Smartphones all over the place instead of clapping hands and atmosphere. May be I am to old for this. May be the younger generation will see it as the future of live performance. But my first impression: Waldbühne was not the sphere - but had the (atmo)sphere. Nothing is even better than the real thing. What's your first impression?

I gotta agree. Really cool and prob a great experience but I feel like there was a certain energy missing. I have seen these guys live and definitely different experience in this place. I didn’t love the set list. Felt like they should have killed it with better songs. Their catalog has so many better songs. The art work was amazing but man, Joshua tree wasn’t there - come on!

@@Metalfansrk Joshua tree just a few hours drive away - would fit perfect into the set list. Totallly agree. Just saw another video from the 400er blocks up under the "sky". Felt better. Because there are the more affordable seats. Let's give it a try. We will see. Have a good day man. Times are changing and that's the way it goes. 👋

@@MetalfansrkI've seen U2 live about 15 times and this looks too static for me, U2s live shows are dynamic and they're all over the stadium and arena, here they're limited to a small stage. Sure the screen is amazing but I think the performance is lost by its limitations.

What a drag to have the tech on the stage repeatedly to hit a pedal for Edge. He even tells him to do it and comes out again to do it. Get it together

My impression the sphere is amazing and U2 is….not quite as amazing lol…they are older , so you have to cut some slack , but for the whole show , Bono sounded tired. The Edge was on point as ever though. It was a great intro to the possibilities of the sphere for sure

They didn't play their greatest hits and instead filled the gap with low energy "folk" songs. Wrong venue for that. They should have played every one of their best songs.
