  • This video shows our trip from San Diego up to San Francisco, stopping at Catalina, Marina Del Rey, Santa Cruz Island, and Santa Barbara along the way.
This video was cobbled together from a number of shots we primarily took for instagram and just to capture the moment, which is why the screen ratio is off, with black bars on the screen. I'm looking forward to making the next video, which we more specifically shot for purposes of RUclips, and includes some really great down-wind footage of our latest trip to Southern California.

Love the cat! Wow, Catalina Island is noisy, maybe it’s not a best place to visit. Loved Ira dolphin calling. Never heard a sound like this before😮. Bashing back to SF reminds me of having to pay your wind chips/dues after downwind sailing to sunny Southern California and sandy beaches and mostly light wind!

It was definitely a challenging bash north! This year's trip north was much better, partly because we insisted on finding a better weather window. The odd thing we found this year though after stopping a bunch along the way, is that we actually enjoy just ripping it off like a bandaid: no harbor hopping, just get up the coast when the gettin' is good!

Hi back at ya! Wow what an amazing trip you did. Great video. We are on the hard right now. When we get our boat back to Point Richmond we will look for you. It would be fun to grab some food at RYC and hear about your adventures if you are up for it.

That would be awesome! It was a really good time. This past summer was the third summer we've done it. Summer in SoCal is just better than it is up in SF. Well worth the trip.
