I'm relatively convinced this won't happen because that song and dance of "the radiants' stronghold is compromised!" has already been done, so narratively I think doing it again would be uninteresting. (Other than to see Nevani and the Sibling wreck shop with all the effort of swatting some flies) 😂
I think the thing is that Bondsmith powers and double-bonds like Shallan's used to be restricted behind Honor, so the previous Knights Radiant's (and maybe Honor himself) didn't know they could do stuff like that.
I think the Sibling doesn't consider the Skybreakers and Dustbringers, which could lead to Urithiru being taken. I could totally see it being seen as the capital of the allied forces meaning everything would fall to Todium.
I wonder if we're actually building towards Adolin to be Honor's champion, as Dalinar letting Adolin do the thing would be a pretty big reconciliation moment.
The fact that Jasnah is not going to the Shattered Plains absolutely means that the battle will be lost there… it would make way more sense for the Queen to be with her people… but you can’t send a main Jasnah to a battle that is going to be lost.
So, open question: do y’all think arc 1 will end with a victory or defeat? So far, each book has had a happy ending, but I get the feeling a lot of people expect book 5 won’t.
These chapters made me realize that oathgate "locks" weren't really developed or described much in the past books. Why not simply lock the gates at the capitols? If the locks were the Oathgate Spren themselves, then yeah it won't work since they're being sassy now. If locks were something physical, Radiants have been able to unlock them so what's the point of locks in the first place since only Radiants can activate the gates? Either way, seems that locks are assumed to not be a solution, and I can add "how do locks work?" to my Sizaeble Sack of Sanderson Secrets.
New-dium 🤣🤣🤣 I really don't want Adolin or Gavinor as Odium's champions.....but it does look like we're heading that way. Poor Adolin, Poor Dalinar....Navini needs to follow Kaladin and Shallan's example in discovering modern therapy and stage an intervention for those two.
The breaking of promises... hasn't there been an allusion to there being an agreement for two shards to not occupy the same system? That would explain Dominion and Devotion's demise.
Only that we know the dandelion is canon 2:19 also, we know dalinar can do things other bondsmiths couldn’t. Maybe that is why? Alternatively Shallans artistic ability may have helped give her the idea?
I cant help but worry that skybreakers or dustbringers are going to come waltzing into urithiru and wreck shop while everyone important is away
I will eat my nonexistent hat if this doesn't happen.
They are still Skybreakers and have to respect the law of the country they are in. That's probably why they haven't gone on a murder spree yet.

sibling is way too nonchalant about the enemy radiant skybreakers 😭😭😭 I’m scared someone hold me

Loved tne conversation between Dalinar and Adolin. This is the kind of drama i was praying we would get back in ROW!

Todium strikes a deal with adolin, he will heal Maya if adolin (Roshars greatest duelist) will fight his father to a draw.

If they somehow make the fight be without investiture then he is frankly the single best fighter they have.

Adolin is Definately a red herring, People want a Champion to fight dalinar and i dont see it being Adolin in any world.
