Just bought a lightly used 2021 350 Meteor today with less than 400 miles. Put 60 on it before I even registered it, Runs great, tight balanced handling and stopping, A little bit lacking in acceleration but kept up at 68 mph well. Great workmanship and incredibly good on fuel, Looks and sounds kool old skool. Very nice inexpensive motor cycle. Glad to support a brand that cares about quality with out ripping off the public. Also impressed with the hands on construction by the skilled workers, Great job all of you! May Ganesh rain peace and harmony upon you! (from USA).

I've been seriously thinking about buying the 650 Interceptor in a few months as I love the retro styling but the nearest dealer is around 130 miles away. After seeing this video I'd say there is a good chance that my son and I will be going on a little road trip soon. Greetings from California to the all the hard working people building those beautiful bikes!

When I bought the INterceptor 650, I tried to read more about RE. They went into more labour usage instead of full automation like most motorcycles. Some of the roles like the guy we see hand painting stuff and others are only in the family. It is like the family job that is continuing till today. The company still supports its people and provides employment. So, for every RE we buy, we are helping the company hire more people than machines. I am more than happy to buy RE for the reasons they hire people to do it and are still cheaper compared to other brands. And our western media don't say that India has more equal representation of men and women in their work place than any country in the world with no reservation and quota. Impressive.

I've had a RE classic 350 for two months now - my first motorbike ever at the age of 57 - and I'm very proud and happy with it. It rides really wonderfully and looks fantastic, a real eye-catcher here in Germany. I get lots of enthusiastic comments. I can't believe that the stripes on the tank are done by hand! Make us old guys happy and produce a Classic 650 that brings back the bike from the 60s. Chrome full fenders front and rear, not that stubby little front fender that never was, plus dump the cheap painted rear fender with the cheap rubber/plastic mud flap. What’s that all about? Just a very cheap look. The exhaust also must look like it’s from the 60s not this swept look that spoils the classic look, plus easy to get a burn from the hot muffler as it sticks up in the way. Same design as the 350 classic muffler. And chrome the exhaust system. Like your classic 350. Bring back the chrome spoke wheels, dump the all black wheel look. The lower fork legs need to be polished or chromed, not painted. Save the money on paint. The seat needs to be changed it’s terribly hard on the butt. That’s an easy fix. Add some class to the seat for long rides. Chrome out or polish the upper fork brackets. The controls on the handlebars need some shine. Or polish them. You guys spend the money on a needed oil cooler, then ya paint the entire engine black. Paint ( black) holds heat in. Polish the engine cases the only black on the engine would be the barrels of the cylinders. A better classic look. Ya build a great bike, just fix the problems of the ugly blackout look. That’s not a classic look. Chrome will get ya home!! Hope you take my thoughts to heart. And make an old rider relive his past. I’m very sure you’ll sell more classic 650s with the real 60s look than the ugly blacked out cheap look. If some customer wants a all blacked out bike, let them order it that way. Don’t stick us with ugly cheap black paint. Future buyer when I see the change.

Failures and breakdowns (Bullet Sixty-5) forced me to imagine a shed-full of numbskulls, cheap components, and confusion. This modern factory and hands-on workforce are why the REH (which I own) is good & the Interceptor is outstanding. Well done from a satisfied customer.
I'm think about to buy a Royal Enfield. If i see this impressing video, i'm convinced, that the quality is very good! Many thanks for this video and many thanks to all workers! Greetings from Germany!
That would be the British made?? or Indian? My Father had an English built RE and there were people practicing the best way to have him part with it for years. It had arrived with a girder style, springer front end but the shop retrofitted telescopic forks before selling those ones. It would be 60+ years old now..
@@jackrichards1863 royal enfield was taken by indian brands after british ledft in 1947 so i think it would be indian made...if it would have been sone 75 years ild then it could have been british made

This is a lot more confidence building than a guy working in a shed in Britain. These people are lucky to have such a place to work: good wages, clean environment, probably good benefits.
They have certainly modernised, in the old days the petrol tank production facility was several men sat out on a veranda with an old car engine block for an anvil, and a hammer. Panel beater's art. The tank painter still has an old skill. Picked up my Himalayan today. Love it already.
Drawing such perfect lines on the tank and other parts is a real artist's job, congratulations for these workers who give prestige to the legendary RE brand. I live in Italy but it is very difficult to see them around. I tell the truth that I prefer a RE 1000 times instead of an HD !!!
Vjayakumar - You should be proud, you, and all the people of India as your products, services and expertise become appreciated around the world. Hello from 🇨🇦.
Fascinating watching how all these highly skilled technicians put together these motorcycles. They must feel so proud to work for Royal Enfield. I love my Interceptor and after watching this feel rather proud in owning one of these amazing machines.
I rode a hired Royal Enfield Bullet in Goa in 1992...It was reliable and a joy to 'potter' along some of the not so good roads. Watching those guys painting the strips on the fuel tanks was amazing... Well done India you succeeded where the UK failed..
I have a whole new level of respect for my bike now. After seeing this the amount of care that was taken. You got to be kidding me the stripes are hand painted 🤯 kinda makes all of our bikes one of a kind. Wish I knew the Artist name that did mine.
This has to be one of the most interesting videos I have ever seen on youtube. The skills, organisation, speed of working, on display were astounding. I salute all those who have planned this factory and all the workers involved.👍.
my dad used to say triumph employed people to paint lines in the tank, great to see this skill still in practice, I'm hoping to get an interceptor as soon as possible
I was really shocked right at the beginning in a very positive way. They handpaint the lines on the tank! The only other company that does that which l know is Rolls-Royce!
This video finally confirms my decision to buy the bike that has been in my head for the last few months. I will feel proud to contribute to sustaining that perfect blend of technology and the essential value of people's work. A small RE Meteor 350 is all I want to go anywhere without rushing, at the last chapter of my life. Knowing how it is made will be part of the pleasure of the road.
@@MrALenCar321 You’re wrong. It was British until the 1950s when it closed. The Indians bought the jigs and tools and produced the same 350 design for decades until more modern designs of recent years.

Its shame for us that our politics don't allow to sell our beloved bike to our brothers in pakistan. It's a great bike for affordable price as compared to Japanese and european bike. I m dead sure Pakistanis would have loved it. And it's fault of indian politicians more than that of pakistan.
Love how this company employs men and women alike in the assembly line. In most other auto manufacturing units, cars or motorcycles, women are usually relegated to upholstery or cosmetic work and not with machine tools and engine assembly. I'm glad to know my old bird too had a few ladies who contributed equally in putting her together, same as the hardworking young blokes here as well 🤘 The legacy of equal employment opportunity is an added feather in the Enfield cap. Bravo.
But they always hark about ladies not getting enough opportunities in hard manufacturing jobs in developing countries. In garment and fashion industry, alright, but you get regular noise about automobile industry.
@@areebhussain4856 In an ideal world, sure. But you know well that's not true. Some jobs are usually relegated to specific genders. How many primary school teachers in schools are men? See any growing up? How many sewer line workers are women? That's just how it is and you know it. Assembly lines in most automotive companies are predominantly men. It's just heartening to see women standing up and being counted in jobs that have traditionally not been taken up by them. Can't you be glad about that, man? C'mon.
@@acswain6720 True. These jobs have traditionally been done by men. It's arduous, long shifts, and whatnot. Many women in India (because this is in India, and Enfield is an Indian company) who don't come from privileged backgrounds are still expected to work and handle responsibilities beyond their vocation, i.e. household management. Therefore, working arduous jobs becomes all the more difficult. Things are changing now. Stringent gender roles are being redefined. Equal opportunity and equal employment is a good thing. I'm not complaining at all. But if you suck at it, you should get the boot, man or woman. No bias there as well.
They look like the bikes of the past. I love the seats, they look very comfortable and the hand painted pinstripes, beautiful. Just love watching people craft a bike and loving there job. Nice looking bikes
RE was an English company and the bike was from the world war 2. In around 1947 indian army ordered thousands of these so that company shifted their work here in India, the company died in UK but the part of the company that was in India thrived, it is quite popular choice in India, by the military and the civilians and the good classic design of the past makes it more good looking
You had me after the first 5 seconds when i realized that you actually HANDPAINT the tanks. Very well done, I plan to get a Super Meteor 650 in the future. Now this decision even feels better than before. Can't wait ❤
I'm not sure what impresses me more. The awesome skills of the guys putting gold stripes on the tanks by hand, the weird-ass freaky robot spraying on the clear coat, or just the sheer industry of it all. Go you good guys. I'm really enjoying my 650 Continental GT, but I worried it may have been built in some hell-hole by exploited workers. I can see this is a fair-dinkum 21st century enterprise, and my bike was built by people who care. Good on you!
This is in Chennai, India's auto manufacturing hub. It's all good. BMW, Citroen, Nissan, Ford, Renault, Yamaha, Daimler, Fiat, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Caterpillar all have factories here. One of the places in India with better human development indices than Indian average.
@@HellBoy0508 I don't get you mate. I said I was worried it may have come from a worker's nightmare of a factory, but I am relieved and have more confidence in my bike seeing a clean, modern factory. Looks like a great place to work. Don't understand your comment
Surprisingly packed choreography. No monotony. Such a Harmony. It's alive. Great pride of Indian Manufacturing. I would welcome if they come out with 150 cc bikes for easy handling.
When you see the work done by hands, by INDIANS, that is all skills, passed to them by their forefathers, In every village in india you will find herdatory skills which are now on the way to get finished. Due to advanced automatic world. In INDIA, an DEGREE holder is more valid than an heridatory skilled worker who has plenty of knowledge but no UNIVERSITY DEGREE.
When I'm in the market for replacing my bikes I will definitly place the 650 interceptor high on the list. I had several original Triumph's and BSA's and these seem more like the real deal than Triumphs current bikes that are not made in England. Love the hand pinstripes I'd want the chrome fuel tank.

India is amazing. .. very amazing...i hope own the twin cyls style touring
Me encanta Royal Enfield, gracias por enseñarnos una de sus fábricas por dentro 👍
Yea dude even I am thinking about buying interceptor. It’s an amazing bike and low on maintenance.
Beautiful clean modern factory. Good looking bikes with KICK STARTERS!!! It's a sin that all bikes don't have kick starters.
I'm think about to buy a Royal Enfield. If i see this impressing video, i'm convinced, that the quality is very good!
Many thanks for this video and many thanks to all workers! Greetings from Germany!
My father's royal Enfield is almost 43 year's old and it's still in amazing condition thankS to workers who did such an amazing engineering ❤️
I also have a re standard UTA and it's 48 years old
That would be the British made??

Good to see where my Classic 500 came from. I own and drive one here in the US.
Wow, I never knew my bike was made with such a mixture of care and efficiency! I sound like I have shares in RE but I don’t, I just. Love riding my Interceptor 650!
Interceptor 650, hard to beat!
Tallking about shares. Company that owned royal enfield has it shares went up 284,654.10% in the last 24 years. Lookup Eicher motors ltd.
This is a lot more confidence building than a guy working in a shed in Britain. These people are lucky to have such a place to work: good wages, clean environment, probably good benefits.
I am sure Britain have better workers law than India
Looks like some pretty world class manufacturing to me!

Très beau travail, vous avez acquis une très grande expérience, la Royal Enfield c’est une légende, bravo X 1000 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️
A big salute to all those employees of RE for making such a beautiful bike! Hope they are taken good care of by their company.

Its the Kumar brothers who are known for their bike painting. There are vids here on YT on their workmanship.
What a beautiful factory with beautiful people making beautiful motorcycles. With love. Awesome sight to see.
Excellent footage of the whole process showing how a legend is built: Royal Enfield.
This has to be one of the most interesting videos I have ever seen on youtube. The skills, organisation, speed of working, on display were astounding. I salute all those who have planned this factory and all the workers involved.👍.
Yeah, when I see my Royal Enfield Classic 350 in Halcyon Grey, I can see why it came out so nice! This factory looks amazing!

I have seen these bikes at a couple of shows in the US. They seem to be a very good value for the reasonable price on offer.
my dad used to say triumph employed people to paint lines in the tank, great to see this skill still in practice, I'm hoping to get an interceptor as soon as possible

What a great video. these are really skilled tradesman, this was a pleasure to watch . Ride on Royal Enfield!
One thing great about these bikes are they are hand made rather than typical assembly lines production. More employment and more empowerment.
And more flaws.

RE have nailed the design, manufacture and reliability. I’m buying a Classic 350. Thanks to all the hard working men and women.
I hope the guy in the paint shop gets paid comparatively well. That is pure skill.
I was really shocked right at the beginning in a very positive way. They handpaint the lines on the tank! The only other company that does that which l know is Rolls-Royce!
I might be wrong but triumph does the same on their street twin lineup.
At one time B.M.W. used to hand paint pin stripes. The artist would sign the underside of the tank.
i lived 300 yards from the redditch factory in hewell rd, i saw them doing this painting in 1956.
sorry but BMW did it first

Love how this company employs men and women alike in the assembly line. In most other auto manufacturing units, cars or motorcycles, women are usually relegated to upholstery or cosmetic work and not with machine tools and engine assembly. I'm glad to know my old bird too had a few ladies who contributed equally in putting her together, same as the hardworking young blokes here as well 🤘 The legacy of equal employment opportunity is an added feather in the Enfield cap. Bravo.
How does it matter if it is a man or a woman?
@@knottytoob jobs are given based on talent, not identify politics.

I'm not sure what impresses me more. The awesome skills of the guys putting gold stripes on the tanks by hand, the weird-ass freaky robot spraying on the clear coat, or just the sheer industry of it all. Go you good guys. I can see this is a fair-dinkum 21st century enterprise, and my bike was built by people who care. Good on you!
There are labor unions in india and thus the exploitation of labors is less in India if you compare with China.
