LOL these are precisely the indie games that everybody are talking about, and I'm absolutely not attracted to (Hades included). So here are my personal favorites for lesser known indie games : • Brok The Investigator (point&click/2D combat/platformer) when you can either manage your violence and do things with your brain, or smash your way out of the puzzles ; it has lovely characters, a good story and a good voice acting ; OH and you can now co-op with a friend (haven't tested it yet)! • Hypercharged Unboxed (solo/multi 3D Action/tower defense/platformer) but you're a TOY and the world is filled with humor, good challenges and various game modes (and customizables!) which is nice ; Please note that I'm a Tower defense genre hater, and yet here I am recommending this one, it's because the game is more action-oriented. You can play solo but it's less fun, and you can totally 100% the game with a single friend in co-op play, I think it's worth knowing that ; • Four Last Things + The Procession to Cavalry (+ upcoming Death of the Reprobate) : 3 small games that belong to the same world, and what world is that OMG, there are animated paintings from the Classic Era, Renaissance, etc. The games are another point&click with a short lifespan but they are so hilarious and visually unique I couldn't leave them in the dark, they must be played ; • Tabletop SImulator, which not exactly a game it's more of a program, BUT you can play pretty much all the physical board games of the world, play with friends, even design and create your own games with this, and I've been using this for litteral years, 100% recommended ; so it's made for people who cannot meet IRL and want to play board games ! (Requires a voice chat for better experience) ; To finish, I could've recommend quite a few other titles but I think we're good, please at least give a try to Brok! and Hypercharged if you can.
I didn't get along with Hades either and those recs sound great! Have you played Pentiment or The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante? I think you'd like them
Hyper Light Drifter’s story is a pretty bonkers allegory for coping with a terminal illness. There’s a couple interviews with the dev team and videos on the subject. Easily one of my favorite indie games
Some advice, change your channel name. It feels more like a company, then some dude reviewing stuff. Make it more personal and people will be more inclined to follow you
@HitDetectionReviews just change your pfp tbh. If you have something depicting a character or avatar it feels a lot more like a single person entitity
I'll second this bit of advice. Randomly stumbled into the channel and was entertained, gives yakkocmn/uniquenameasaurus vibes but paced, edited and scripted in your own fresh way, but the channel name and logo seems very corporate
I only play titles developed in the last 5 years that run exclusively on the NES that contain zero hints of violence and thumb my nose at anyone who does differently.
Nice recommendations; well, for me, as someone who doesn’t play a whole lot of video games. Stuff like less backtracking and slowdown blocks are definitely attractive, especially since I’m liable to getting lost and frustrated. Good video for people who don’t game a lot, and picking some more popular indie titles does make it more easy to talk about and make connections. I mean, when trying to make friends and someone asks “so what have you been playing?” Dropping (obscure indie game no one has heard of) as an answer is as much of a convo killer as FIFA
I haven't played a lot of these games but I absolutely agree with the Guacamelee games, I see those games get criticized by some people but they just seem to be the kinds of people who think every metroidvania should be like Metroid, SOTN and Hollow Knight or go home. Narrow minded people like that I try to avoid coming across but I see them from time to time. I do like the Ori games but Guacamelee to me is still better. I have Hyper Light Drifter on my wishlist but it never goes on sale for Playstation and you did an okay job at selling me on Risk of Rain 2, just that I dislike roguelites and likes and those games are so prevelant even with games that sound like they could be my thing, got to research a game every time I hear of a random indie game just to know they aren't those.
My indie addicted ass is surprised people haven't played all these games, great recommendations.

I have thought about it - just haven't landed on when/what to change it to

@@swiip100 That's lame and cringe
Forgot Risk of Rain 2 existed. Spend so much time on that lovely title.

ngl, I was kinda hoping that's what this video would be

I've heard good things about Factorio but haven't gotten around to it myself - thanks for watching!
Champion Strike Hero Clash is a criminally underestimated mobile game❤
