- Too often, we find that golfers are ignoring the adjustable hosel settings on their drivers. In this exclusive video, 2nd Swing Golf's Thomas Campbell and Drew Mahowald use Trackman Technology to break down the #PING G410 Plus driver #adjustable #hosel settings. Using the PING #G410 #Plus #driver and PING's new #8-lobe #Trajectory #Tuning #system, Thomas and Drew show the impact that adjustable settings can create and the benefits golfers can get out of making these adjustments.

Great content as always !
Thank you for watching, Stephen!
Best explanation I've heard to be honest. Thanks for the great content.
appreciate that!
Live the content and how you communicate the data Thomas. Id've like to see this vs another top driver adjustment battle to see how the weighting of each company affects thier settings in vs. testing. Thanks guys
Thanks for watching and commenting! That's a great idea and we'll add it to our list for future tests.
Nice video guys, so I tend to go right my most favorable settings would be the +1.5° with the draw bias?
Absolutely love the flat setting... being 5'6 i usually play 44" but with g410 I've been able to play standard and go from 109 club head speed to 114 on avg and major gains in distance
Hey Thomas, what happens if I increase loft +1.5 and flat setting?
Thanks for this great video. just subscribed. Just adjusted mine to plus 1.5 and I'm looking forward to testing it out later this week. Do you have a video with the weights adjusted?
Any info from your changes?
Love the videos. Its nice to have an independent voice that has no skin in the game as to which brands perform best. But I have a suggestion. While I'm envious of TC's swing, he falls into the top 2% of all players. Why can't we have a mid-handicapper performing the tests. Say someone who has a SS in the 90's, and a handicap in the 8-15 range?
How come by increasing the loft it closes the face, it seems opposite to what you would do by twisting the club more open with your hands would give more loft?
So what is the best setting for someone who slices ? New to golf all these figures I can’t understand
Can you give me an advise ? I tend to slide and fade the ball. I am not very tall , what should I do ? Should I place the 16gr on the draw position and the head on flat ?
I have the 410 plus and the 1st time I made an adjustment theres a red disc that fell out? I put it back in and everything seems fine, but why did it fall
out? Is that normal cause it didnt fall out on your adjustments.
Hey guys, after adjustment why is the face not being squared off to the target?
Let's say that you are a fade type of player, what will happen if you put it on -1,5 degrees loft and the back weight on draw?
The furtherist?
Just ordered my new g410 sft 3 wood from u and appreciate the instruction. I just added (given) a new shaft with RH adapter for my SFT Driver. As a lefty, Can i just adjust the Adapter inversely?
No, left hand adapter is different. The adapter is also different to the G400 as I have both and cant switch shafts. Titleist adapters are universal but the setting chart is different between Left and right.
Yes u can
I"m still confused about the FLAT setting. You mentioned that the F(0*) will give a fade/push bias, and is 3* flatter than standard. Does the F- (-1*) make it less flat? What is the shot shape/bias with this F- setting. Does the F+ make it 'max' flat? What is the shot shape/bias with this F+ setting? Thanks for the input!
The Flat settings do make the lie angle flatter than STD. Theoretically the F- (-1*) will be the absolute most fade bias and flat setting. The F+ is a flatter setting but with a little more loft, this is still a fade shot shape bias but the F- will be the most fade bias as there is less loft on the face and you are opening the face slightly.
I have a 9⁰ G410 plus with the weight in the draw setting but I still find that I fade, push our slice with it in this setting. I realise my swing is to blame sometimes but any thought on what setting my help correct this when a good swing still produces a fade?
I would play around with the +1.5* hosel adjustment - Thomas
I'm trying to decide between the G410 SFT and the Plus. Ive been working on my driver and turned my slice into a straight/baby fade over the past season so I'm a bit hesitant in getting the SFT. Would you recommend going with a 9* degree Plus cranked 10* with weight in the draw position?
That's a great idea! If you're trying to avoid that miss to the right and feel like you have solid launch and distance, starting with the G410 Plus in the draw setting is the right call. If you feel like you still need more help, that's when the G410 SFT might be the choice.
I have ping 430 at 12.5 loft and tend to go left with my drives in draw setting any suggestions
Thanks for the comment. Are you a right-handed or left-handed player?
I fade. Would you suggest a -1,5 and the weight on draw?
Decreasing the loft will slightly open the clubface. In that scenario, you probably wouldn't see much correction in your trajectory other than perhaps a little lower flight. If you want to hit a draw, you could move that weight to the draw setting and perhaps adjust the hosel to an upright setting
@@2ndswing Which is the upright setting? The O Neutral?
Never knew the loft setting was directly related to face angle. Was trying to decrease my height by going -1.5 and started missing everything right...
Yes, when you decrease loft, the face angle is opened slightly. If you were to adjust to the +1.5 setting, you would likely see this address. One thing to try if you haven't yet is sliding the movable weight to the "draw" setting to help combat that right miss. Let us know if we can help!
Mine makes no difference whatsoever!!!! WTF???
Drew, I've noticed that you basically have ZERO videos for women's equipment. Will you ever do any fittings for smaller(Asian size) women. Are the iron heads the same weights as men's? Obviously you can get light weight irons shafts these days(Nippon Zelos series) and some lighter weight driver shafts-well at least down to 50grms. Are there are good ones down below 50grms.
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting! We have been searching for a female tester for our videos. If you know anyone, let us know! and yes, there are great shaft options below 50 grams in both senior and women's. If you have any questions about specific models or fitting questions, I'll defer you to our Fitting and Support team at (612) 216-4152 or service@2ndswing.com.
