Love the way Deepti describes looking back on good moments with people who have done us wrong in life. I really feel like this will change my perspective and mindset of how to process things. I’ve always found it difficult when you have fond memories with friends people who ended up not being a good friend but this has taught me it’s okay to look fondly on those because at that time I was also a different person x
Hey I actually work for a Jet's franchise, lol. I can tell you a couple of reasons it costs a little more. First, I show up every morning, hours before opening, and make the pizza dough from scratch. Your typical pizza chain does not do this. Also, our cheese is ridiculously good. It's really fresh mozzarella, that we also grate ourselves. It's not that low moisture part skim mozz that you buy in a grocery store. They also pay me pretty decently. I was surprised by the fact that I've been working in offices for decades, and this has been more money and more enjoyable. I've lost weight because I'm not sitting on my butt all the time like I used to. I'm really happy with it. Anyways. I know I'm just rambling about a throw-away comment you both made. But there you go. I love you both. Take care!
Have y’all watched LIB Japan? It’s so good and really heartwarming. I love the couples that came out of it! If you have, it would be cool to see Midori on the pod!
I watched it yeah it was very different from the US version, less drama although I am a fan of drama 😅 I was a huge fan of the old man I forgot his name! And felt sorry for him he deserves the world.
Other ways someone could get a "bad edit": 1. People naturally have good moments and bad moments. Editors can choose to not show any of someone's good moments. As a result, the audience forms an opinion that this person is just pure awful. Every time we see that person, they are saying or doing something bad. 2. Person 1 can say something very hurtful and escalate a situation, and then Person 2 can respond with something hurtful back. If the first part is edited out, it may look like Person 2 instigated the situation and said something hurtful out of the blue.
Also they can manufacture scenes to show a person reacting negatively to someone else unfairly, but they were actually reacting to something else eg someone rolls their eyes playfully because of a joke that was playfully directed at them but they are shown to roll their eyes at someone walking in or just existing
I just found this podcast and I am enjoying it! I've been watching Love is Blind since season 1. I enjoy listening to your perspectives and behind the scenes info. 💜
On the cuties situation just based off that scene, I think Zanab was projecting a lot. I recently rewatched that season and think she had a lot of self-love to do because why would she feel the need to ask her fiancé to rate her. She spoke a lot about her age in a negative way and even set the scene for Cole to comment on her looks without makeup on.
For sure. What it seems like is that Cole isn’t the most mature person behaviourally, and maybe says some things without really thinking about them too much, and that’s really his main flaw. Whereas Zanab’s issues go much, much deeper and she was fishing and looking for any reason to find he didn’t accept her so she could be the victim and paint him out to be a monster. It was pure projection.
Natalie, if people are seeing any ‘zits’ as I called them back in the day- they are looking waaaay to closely. You are so completely lovely and any blemish is not noticeable - and the adult acne is real, every month (you know what I’m saying) I’d get zits and within days they would go away. Super annoying 😅
To answer your first question about taking food out if you’re going somewhere after dinner. If it’s a good restaurant and the food is worth the morning-after microwave breakfast, you can bet that I’m bringing that baby home! Also, I have a dog at home, so bringing food home is a must!! He deserves to have a little snacky snack 😂
On the cuties scene… agree with Deepti that it’s not simple. But the scene definitely showed that Cole wasn’t the monster Zanab and the other girls were exaggerating him to be in that particular moment. Also if you listen to Zanab share examples of other bad things he did, a lot of those moments are on the show and you can watch the context. For example, she told one interviewer “he called me fat” and when the interviewer asked for more details it was the scene on the beach where they were talking about fattening each other up with fruit. And when she implies he’s racist it’s when Cole says “we’ll go see your people” meaning her friends and family. Zanab doesn’t have any big examples other than what you see in the show and you can watch the context… the cuties scene was her big receipt.
100% have inhaled leftover dinner at the last bar of the night, which is typically a dive where etiquette has gone out the window by that hour anyway. 😂
I actually agree with Zanab. I rewatch that season 3x and each time i saw Cole poke at her physical and made her feel she wasnt as attractive. Im shock cause she was literally the baddest girl that season along with Raven.
I suffered from adult acne for many many years. After 10 months of isotretinoin i was finally free of it but was left with many scars that could have been avoided, if I had started the treatment earlier. It was not an easy process but I would do it again because it was so worth it for me. I suffered every single day, was depressed, was hurting, had no hope because nothing helped. Please go and see a derm to save your skin.
I love how you guys can laugh at yourselves especially about the makeup and smudged lipstick situation. 😂 When I look at old pics of myself I’m like girl those eyebrows 😂😂 Also, Deepti your makeup looks sooo good! ❤
I can't get behind Deepti's thoughts about the cuties situation because of the way Zanab told the story, it felt like she purposefully made it bigger than it was. When she retold the story notice how she changed her tone, she made it seem like she was talking to him calmly and that he spoke down on her but during the clip she was immediatly rude to him and he was the one who ended up concerned. She also left out when she said "is that okay with you" which was super aggressive and set a place for an altercation to occur (even though it didn't, Cole almost seemed clueless to her aggression). I definetly think Cole did say a lot stuff that clearly cause doubt on her end, so it's possible to her it was that way, but the way she told the story it just felt very calculated to make it seem like it was all him and I don't think she thought they would play the clip for the viewers
Her attitude towards Cole through most of the season was condescending and mean… I don’t think Cole realized how little she thought of him until she eviscerated him at the altar. Cole did some stupid stuff, but wow… Zanab was vicious.
I stuffed some cannoli's in my purse after an amazing italian dinner (with the girls) and then fed them to a guy at our next stop...straight from the purse!
I appreciate this take on the cuties situation! It felt like a more subliminal end-edit that purposefully did not tell the full story, like how they asked everyone "Did Natalie show you the texts?" at the end of y'alls After the Altar.
She watched the first episode she mentioned it at one of the previous podcast episodes. She said she enjoyed it and will watch it! I really wanna watch it as well but it’s not on Netflix! 🥲
My friends and I carried a full pizza box of leftovers to a bar once. I eat expensive food if it’s been sitting out but not cheap food if it looks gross.
I absolutely take the bomb meal everywhere I go no matter who or where I am with. There is no shame in enjoying a meal that is good and I paid for! LMAO
I know my opinions aren’t the same as everyone who watched the show, but I feel like you both are so hypercritical of the potential negatives (how could you not be, I get it) such as the portrayal, appearance/makeup, cringy scenes, etc but I genuinely didn’t notice you guys looking anything less than pretty and poised the entire season. 🙂
I don’t drink anymore but definitely still have thoughts. So if a meal is that good there’s no left overs bc I’m eating all of that. If it’s mediocre and I don’t finish I don’t feel like carrying that shit around all night. And any time in the rare instance I DID bring left overs with me I would definitely put them down and forget them at some point in the night😂
I know that I’m 4 months late to the party but I wanted to comment about the lawsuits and allegations of not protecting and keeping the cast safe; I absolutely think that on a legal and financial standpoint that there should be extreme concern about these complaints. I think everyone forgot about “Megan Wants a Millionaire” and how a cast member murdering his wife put an end to that show before it even finished airing and it stopped the “I Love Money” franchise. The Jasmine Fiore and Ryan Jenkins case completely obliterated the possibility of any more of those VH1 love and contest based shows and that even if you don’t consider the morals and ethics that should be applied because these are real people and you owe them the decency of keeping them safe and stopping potentially dangerous and harmful (including emotional and psychological damage and not just physical) situations from occurring as basic human rights. If you look at it purely from a financial standpoint, I’m guessing that a lot more money would have been made if they had done a better job with their background checks. I know Ms. Fiore was not on any of the shows and that Ryan did not meet her from the VH1 franchise/cast and it’s possible (although doubtful IMO because of the events that led the two to actually meeting and getting married) that he would have murdered and mutilated her body even if he had not appeared on either show; Ryan being affiliated and participating in “Megan Wants a Milllionaire” and “I Love Money” S3 was the reason why those shows abruptly ended and were never aired and adjacent shows in the works or already produced were canned. Basically, there should absolutely be concern about the contestants because even if they have 50 different seasons already filmed, they aren’t going to be aired if anything really tragic happens or someone is able to prove that there was negligence involved. Just my two cents!
Lol what did that last question even mean? We saw half of them on the show. I’m assuming they meant people dating other people, but the question in itself was silly.
So if you eat pasta or rice that's been sitting out for 2hrs+ you can actually get really sick and die so it's a good thing she didnt (look up fried rice syndrome before you try and comment)
I love you both but you have some biases and feelings that need to be unpacked. Your comments can be ableist at times and I realize you aren’t aware of it. But as someone who watches, it is hard to hear.
This is like being on facetime with close friends, love it here
Power move Deepti! Always take the leftovers home!

Deepti's reveal was so cute and it really seemed like a good omen at the time. I'm glad she can revisit that moment and feel happy about it.

I so agree with Natalie on leftover drunk food!! Fast food stays the same, fresh goes bad overnight. You're not alone Nat ❤😂
i love how Deepti articulates everything for example the cuties situation ..very Intellectual.
Omg 😅 I just stopped in the middle of this to watch Shayne and Natalie’s reveal and the kiss did make me laugh out loud 😂😂😂😂

I was gonna say girls your skin is flawless until Nataly spoke haha... you guys need to share your skincare routine secrets for real.
Omg I’m so down to rewatch along with yall! 😅
I’m so excited to watch this!! Thank you both for gracing us with this 10/10 content ❤

Yes and she was also nitpicking at him from the moment they moved into the condo.

Can you post pictures next time , because I can’t put a name to a face. 😬 .., who’s Rocky sorry
Yeah that would be handy

Pasta can sometimes taste better reheated. But it’s the only thing I ever reheat
Was the blooper around minute 6:25 supposed to make it live? 🤣 hilarioussssss loved it!

too relatable about the adult acne lmao, i'm suffering :-)
Me too and Tretinoin made my face worse/more damaged.
I suffered from adult acne for many many years. G just posted she’s having a baby!! 🎉 ❤
Also, when your friends and you are drunk at the end of the night and suddenly bust out the leftovers like a hero.
Ok 👌🏼 Deepti spill the beans 🫘 on the restaurant name! Fellow Chicagoan here lol!
Same here !! I was hoping she’d share hehe

I’m on a minute 4 and I heard word ‘fu*king’ probably 20 times already 😅
When u say we get a free towel, are u referring to the new Balenciaga towel skirt? 🤔😂😂
"thats where we gather." is a pretty funny sentence lol
I stuffed some cannoli's in my purse after an amazing italian dinner (with the girls) and then fed them to a guy at our next stop...straight from the purse!
Which episode was the previous Q&A?
Deepti seems so kind
I have brought leftover ramen to a bar with me :) To me, reducing food waste is way more important than preserving any social etiquette
Please do a rewatch starting with season numero uno por favor
I love the bloopers 😂
I hate food waste so I’m a huge leftover girl. The problem is if you go to a bar that serves food .. that’s when you might “look bad” lol
I’d take the leftovers everywhere. And I would toss if I left it out whether it was gourmet or fast food lol
I've taken my food to go before but always accidentally leave it at the next bar lmfao
I appreciate this take on the cuties situation! It felt like a more subliminal end-edit that purposefully did not tell the full story, like how they asked everyone "Did Natalie show you the texts?" at the end of y'alls After the Altar.
