Mark 16:9-20 is in there because God wants it to be in there, period. No matter how it got there, it's exactly where it is supposed to be! Praise God! I will never doubt the inerrancy of The Word of God! Amen.
Compare a KJV to and NIV, or a NASB to The Living Bible or The Message. That will give you an idea of man's involvement in changing God's word. Can you say that you know How we got every single book in the Bible with their specific chapters and words precisely, verses other books that were deemed to not be inspired? The Holy Spirit insprired Scripture we know, but we must define what is of The Holy Spirit and what is man adding or taking away from God's word. Please pray about it, and if you just so happen to decide to be stubborn about studying instead of just taking the stance that you are right always and know everything, at that point, nobody can talk with you if your pride blocks them, including God from revealing Truth to you. If you are not a prideful stubborn person, I am glad, and encourage you to study this matter further to your hearts content, hearing Godly Pastors and Teachers on the subject Whom The Holy Spirit can use to illuminate all of us further into His Truth beyond what we currently know. He leads us into all truth. But we need to not block Him when He's trying to lead us.
People try to explain it away because it’s problematic to the false doctrine of “the great commission “ These churches that are making a ton of money off of the great commission can’t explain why they can’t heal the sick and drink poison. It’s because it was the messiah giving his 11 special instructions and power. It’s not for all
The part about poison reminds me of an incident that I read of in a missionary biography. Sophie Muller was a New Tribes Missionary in Columbia in the 1940s and 50s. She travelled extensively throughout a large area visiting tribes and witnessing to them about the Gospel. On one occasion she arrived in a village, late at night, having travelled all day. She was given a meal and left alone in a small hut. Just after that she was violently sick, laid down and went to sleep. The next morning she was recovered and went on her way. A few years later, she returned to that village and found that the Gospel had made an impact, with souls having been saved. Upon enquiring about this she was asked if she remembered being given a meal when she came before. When she replied in the affirmative, she was then informed that there was enough poison in that meal "to kill 20 men". When the villagers saw that she was alive they realised that she had truly been sent by God, and this led to their conversion. Could this be, I wonder, a possible fulfilment of Mark 16?
Doesn’t seem like he would agree. I would Agree though. I like this but I don’t like that. The book of Acts also tells a different story. And Greater Works than these shall you do. We are buried with Him. There’s much more.
THE PROBLEM IS INCORRECT TRANSLATION IN WHOLE ENGLISH BIBLE!! In the Filipino language, the letter says that if you accidentally touch a snake or accidentally drink poison, you will not be harmed, just like what happened to Apostle Paul, he accidentally encountered a snake. you yourself will not touch a snake or drink poison because then you are testing God .. the problem is the whole english bible is incorrect translation!!!
amen praise Jesus that's the real meaning, like Apostle Paul who encountered a snake but he didn't perish because God protected him. It's not that you're going to handle a snake or drink poison that you're testing God.
I think the narrator testimonial is quite upto the mark, given to hiding as they completed story if also parted ways with Paul's to be given third party account.
In defence of Mark 16:9-20, early church fathers like Irenaeus (writing from 180-ish) references these verses as genuine, which predates the earliest manuscripts we have of this section of Mark (e.g. Codex Vaticanus).
look in the mirror and see Jesus a son of man before he woke up in you. everythink of Gods kingdom is in not the shadow of creation, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you
berglen100. I appreciate the time you’ve spent corresponding with me. A Lot of things you said were correct. Thanks for your time. But (you knew that was coming) you’ve come along 40 yrs too late to change my mind. My promise to you is I will study this out. If someone has something that I need and don’t have it I want it. I’m gonna look for a tiny little bit of scripture that us Gentiles can trust. Your Friend ,,,Ken
I came here hoping that RC was going to address that possibly the earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have verses 9-20. Can someone here head me in that direction?
Waking up to where you came down from will even grasp the writing will show you its all allegoric from adam and eve that were not born, each man which is male and female separated in coming down from spirit to flesh and blood, Jesus wasn't separated and neither male or female, that was a pattern for all sons of God came down and will be like the allegory written of Jesus (God), even that prayer in John 17:5 is actually every one awaken about coming down like all sons of God does before the world was created. no ones lost and lives many times the you experience, dust your body come into when dead , the dream of separated into male and female is a soul and a sleeping spirit that never dies . no lost......
Cause it is commanded to go and proclaim the gospel. Romans 10, faith comes from hearing, and hearing the word of God. A man’s soul can’t be pierced by the truth if the truth isn’t proclaim and then the grace of God can be poured out in faith alone by Christ alone.
Please point me to where you got this idea that the late professor Sproul ever mentioned healing people by his own hands ? Rev Sproul is not a member of the Charismatic Movement who claim they have & do heal people by touching them. RC Sproul is a reformed minister, NOT a heretic like benny hinn or Joel Olsten etc.
@@hilarioushen4164 I know many Christians who can heal people thru Jesus who aren’t heretics. Ive seen it happen in front of me. Ive seen cancer disappear and legs that were broken heal(before and after x rays). Benny Hinn for sure is a hermitic, Joel is prob just not educated in actual biblical studies (but that shouldn’t be an excuse for his “prosperity gospel”.) Go check out Craig Keeners book on “miracles” resurrections from the dead after people praying in the name of Jesus happens today as well.
Bad Gator sorry my friend only God can preform miracles and did so in the Old Testament through the prophets & in the New Testament by Christ Jesus himself. Who working through his apostles after his ascension by healing the sick & cast out demons etc, showing & verifying that the commission they received was from God in the person of Jesus the Christ. Once the Gospel had spread & the cannons of scripture close, all these wonders & signs as there referred to in the New Testament STOPED. Remember Satan the great deceiver can only copy what God has already done. So I would be very careful what you see & believed. Plus I do believe that God does heal people from certain afflictions from time to time through prayer, but not always.

Perfect, am humbled by God's Word
I love this about the Word of God: It can stand up to any legitimate scrutiny. It stands firm and endures.

Thank You Very Much. This is not a Buffet where we can pick and choose what to put on our plate. Very disappointed that he said that.
You’ll have to argue with Peter on that one.
@@kennewton5877 Those are words from R.C. Sproul. He has passed and he can no longer able to argue. I'll add quotes.

Amen. This series has been immensely edifying to my soul and walk with The Lord Jesus. God bless you all.

11:25. No. Not preach the gospel. Rather -- to teach them everything He has commanded.

In there arrogance they can't see their contradiction(s).
If one is elected by God to be saved why do they need missionaries?
