The Great Commission

  • Before His ascension, Jesus established one of the church’s main priorities, which is to share the Gospel so that people will be converted, be baptized, grow in faith, and tell others the good news of salvation. Unfortunately, some churches have replaced this call to mission with a comfortable “maintenance” approach. Challenging all Christians to embrace Jesus’ Great Commission, Alistair Begg takes a closer look at the claim that only Christ can make, the command that only Christ can give, and the comfort that only Christ can provide.

Shalom Rabbi Begg. I have been listening to your teaching since the 90s. What I have always loved about your teachings are the simplicity and the Innocence. You present the gospel in a way that is so easy to understand yet it is so powerful because of the singularity. Messiah and nothing else. I have never heard you say Christ and. It's always Christ and nothing else. Christ is always the last word and that's how it should be. I live in a state that is not very Godly and I can't find a good church and there are no Messianic congregations here they're mostly a Unitarian and trinitarian which are not really Full Gospel biblical it is so hard so I rely on RUclips for good teachers like yourself. Over three decades we are growing old together and I would like to call you friends. Once we are raptured and we go home I would love to meet you in person and thank you for all your wonderful messages. And I know that is Messiah in you not you yourself because no one can present the gospel with such anointing without the Holy Spirit. Be encouraged and know that you are reaching people that are desperate for fellowship and we would die inside if we didn't have good teachers on RUclips that can get us through this difficult time.

Hi Ani. God will provide you a church so that you may enjoy fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ. Or perhaps you are the change that your city needs. Use social media to find believers in your city. Start small but begin to enjoy the blessings of fellowship. And be sure that God will provide the rest.

@@lupenavarro2536 thank you so much I appreciate your encouraging words. Yes we must always be a light in the Darkness. And I'm a very strong person I take the gospel very serious and I refuse to compromise. I just moved to City from a small town where people are pretty normal laid back old fashioned different. I moved to a town called Keene New Hampshire which is very liberal and well I guess you can get my points. I refuse to back down when challenged I refuse to use phony pronouns he she they them all that stuff I won't do that I will not give in to the ABC Mafia. I will not allow them to use me to distort the truth we are made the way God intended us to be God does not make mistakes if you were born a man that's who you are and that's who you will always be the same for women thank you for your kind words it really does mean a lot God bless you

@@philipmurray9796 trinitarian simply means someone believes in the trinity in other words the Father the Son the holy spirit. But beyond that there are differences. For example I went to a trinitarian church here in New Hampshire and I was told that everyone in the congregation is allowed to interpret the Bible as they see fit. Although he strongly pushed the Gap Theory and other theories that most mainstream Christian churches disagree with. So being trinitarian is neither good nor bad it's what you believe the Bible says do you believe the Bible is the infallible word of God that's the only thing that matters the Bible

This says it all for both believers and non believers alike.

The reason no one living today can’t perform the great commission is its the kingdom church commission and not the body of Christ. It’s so silly what modern religion is following. Lets look at the great commission Mark 16: 14Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Verse 15 doesn’t include Jesus dying for our sins because that mystery was revealed latter to Paul for the body of Christ. Verse 16 includes nothing about Jesus dying for our sins so according to what Paul says saves the body of Christ in 1 Cor 15:1-4 kjv then following Mark 16:14-15 kjv would mean you believed in vain. Mark 16:15 baptism is a necessary part of the kingdom gospel but adding baptism to 1 Cor 15:3-4 and believing its a necessary part of salvation means you never understood Jesus dying for you sins was what saved you not the kingdom program work. Look at the rest of the stuff the believer shall have under the kingdom gospel. There’s a reason all these items you shall have as a believer in that kingdom gospel are important. The kingdom jews its referring to could go thru the tribulation and Israel shall have all these signs. No one can possibly fulfill the great commission today until Israel is raised up and those Jews go into the millennial kingdom. There is literally no great commission going on today just bible readers twisting every verse of this. The body of Christ is a new creature and until we are removed at the rapture the kingdom program can’t resume.

Kevin, you are so woefully deceived regarding your views on pretty much everything you just said. I pray God pulls you out of your ridiculous hyper-dispensationalism. There is no "israel being lifted up". The Church is Israel and its fulfillment (See Paul, Rom. 2,4,9), nor is it about the millennial kingdom. Let go of your 20th Century nonsense eschatology and read into the Church Fathers down through history.
It is not about the Jews, you are mis-applying "the kingdom". There is a great commission, and Jesus commanded it. If you are deliberately ignoring and disobeying it, then frankly, you are not a Christian.

@@zandrello zandrello so you are performing the great commission according to Mark 16:14-18. Your telling people they can be saved if they believe what this gospel is and be baptized which is necessary according to this. You shall talk in new tongues, you shall cast out devils, anything poison you drink shall not hurt you, you shall take up serpents, you shall lay hands on the sick and they shall be healed. Except for someone dying of old age you lay hands on them and they recover right. Who’s doesn’t have a clue here me or whoever your getting this nonsense from.
