@11:00 True, fruits and vegetables are very expensive. In October, I paid like 5€ for just 100g of sugar peas that I needed to make そぼろ丼 ("soborodon", scrambled egg, scrambled meat and peas on rice). That's almost more money for just the peas than getting a そぼろ丼 ready made for you in the restaurant! In Germany, 100g of sugar peas would be 2€ (¥300) max, regardless of season. BUT! It's really nice how many restaurants and how much convenient food is available in Japan. Japan is very conscious of good and affordable food. There is a lot of it. It's almost like you don't need to cook at home at all! In Germany, there are no restaurants where you can get good food for less than 10€ (¥1500), in Japan, there totally is.

When compared to India, Japan is really expensive. 4 times more expensive on average.
@@AnimeCritical Thank you for your comment. Does the price difference also vary depending on the region in India?
@Borderless_Tokyo Yes it varies, but what I told you was on average. In cities things are 20-30% more expensive than in rural areas.
@@AnimeCritical I see! It’s similar to the differences between cities and the countryside in Japan!
