These videos are great. Thanks so much. Can you provide a list of warm up exercises from these videos and how many reps (or time) for each before a performance?

to be honest with you, my warm ups are typically ten minutes max, and I spend most of that time warming up my true cords with clean singing and some vocal projection exercises similar to the ones in phase 1. All of these exercises are aimed at developing foundational skills. You can use any of these to warm up with, and find what suits you the best. But ive always found that the false cords really don't need a huge warm up. I might do some kargyraa for a couple mins and then transition into full on FC screaming. But I always warm up my true cords, because the true cords can get injured much more easily than the false cords. There has never been a single reported case of someone injuring their FC's just by using them, but they are plenty of cases of people injuring their true cords through overuse, or trauma from bad singing technique. I would say just warm up your true cords until they feel "limber" when performing vocal projection/clean singing. Then a few mins practicing some of these exercises. Then you can either practice what ever songs you want to, or spend the majority of the practice session performing the phase 1-3 exercises. But the FC exercises are for developing motor control, and typically when doing any type of exercises for muscle activation/motor control for any part of the body, they are dosed at; as many and as often as you can tolerate. Hope that helps.

Great videos but the triplets were actually just an eighth note followed by two Sixteenth notes

My mid to high and high to mid is where my false cords give up - as you have noticed through the recordings that I have sent you. I just tried your exercise with going through the whole range and above my mid the FC just says bye and stops working at all and my voice chokes

So what you need to do is practice at the pitch just before you feel your false cords disengage. Practice at the highest pitch you can with your false cords still able to fully vibrate. Eventually you will be able to keep them vibrating as you raise pitch little by little. You can keep trying that exercise too. It is essentially just trying to thrust you into a high pitched FC scream. But remember to keep your larynx relaxed and aim the airflow towards the top of your throat.

@@Scream-TheoryAwesome reply and tips - I guess it is the first exercise that would be the case for me, because for some reason I cannot force myself into FC above my mid as you mention in the latter exercise. So I will have to work on broadening the limit of my FC before it croaks again.

@@Scream-Theory guttural update: what worked for me was to put the tip of the tongue against the bottom teeth instead of the top ones. That arches the middle of the tongue slightly upwards, but also pushes the back of it slightly down and hence opens up the throat and pushes down the larynx. So all in all, the effect is the same even if the "tongue blockade" is more back in the mouth. This produces quite a fine gurgly sound.
