wooly thanks for the great review - how do you compare it to your experience on sub xero - i am trying to figure out which one to buy for summer surfing (usually 1-3ft mushy - thank you
Hi Mate, The Mini Twin I rode was 6'1" and the Red Baron a 5'8" so they are very different boards. Mini Twin was good in overhead surf where as the Red Baron is made for very small waves. Really depends on what type of waves you want the board to perform in.
Unreal review mate. Quick question for ya - for an intermediate surfer, how noticeable do you reckon the difference between hyfi 2.0 and regular eps would be? Is it worth the extra $200?
nice review , think its better for people to buy it with futures as theres way more options for fin shapes and twinnys are all about the fins , hope the leg gets better.
Hi mate. Both those two a a lot of fun in very small waves. Just depends if you want a pure twin or a quad fin set up? The quad Seaside will have a bit more hold and the Red Baron will be more ‘slippery’ twin fin feel 🤙
Hi mate, would be interested in hearing about how you landed on your ideal volume? I am pretty much the same height as you (185cm) but only 80 kgs and most surf shops have recommended the 5'5 Red Baron, which is 31.3 litres. Though going off your dims I should be looking at a bit more?
Hi mate Whats your 'normal' board volume? I would suggest going up around 2 - 3L from your normal everyday board. With this board being so short I like to go up in volume so I don't lose paddle power and make sure the board always carries over flat sections. This board didn't feel overly big in volume under my feet. If anything I think I could have gone up in size.
@@WoolyTV Thanks for the reply mate. My 'normal' board volume is about 29L so the 5'5 would be about right. Though based off of your videos and the boards you are riding I am starting to think I should maybe go for a bit more foam with all my boards! Might need to pop in to the shop in Mandurah and have a proper chat at some point. Cheers
@@jjwell5267 maybe I’m just getting a little older (and slower) so I’m enjoying a little more foam 😂. Your always welcome to try the demo boards but they will all be on the larger side but at least you will know if they are too big.
Hands down best review channel on RUclips with various wave conditions on different types of breaks
Thank you!!
Get healed up soon bra . Thanks for riding the twinny backside , so many videos of twins is all frontside
Thanks mate. Yeah I don’t have much choice as we have plenty of lefts where we are and most of WA! 😂
Prayers for a speedy recovery.
Thanks 🙏 mate, much appreciated
Great review as always. Get better soon mate and happy holidays!
🙏 thanks mate. Getting better slowly!
I enjoy your reviews, heal up quick because I would like to see a js Xero review!
I know!!! I have it sitting there staring out me. I actually stood up on a softboard at lessons today!! So nice to ride a wave again! Yeeewwww
@@WoolyTV yewww!!!!!!!!
Heal up quickly Wooly. Another great review 👏. You had that Red Barron really flying, but that hardly matters.
Get better soon aye.
Thanks mate. Hopefully only another few weeks 🙏. So many boards stacking up. Will need a few solid weeks filming to catch up!
Epic review! That bored look epic on smell surf
Just bought that Bored 5.4 🤙🏿
Yes they are super fun! Enjoy!

Hi mate
I would go the Sub Xero as its way more versatile and you can really play with a variety of fin options.
Thank you mate
hello, very good analysis and videos. between table js red baron and mini twin dhd. Which one would you stay with? thank you

Very little difference if you are an intermediate surfer.
@@WoolyTV Thanks mate, you're a legend

Hi mate. Thanks 🙏. I would agree with you. Futures have a great range of twins. Although the FCS Power Twins work very well in most twins.
@@WoolyTV yeh I agree the powertwin shape works great in most conditions , I got them in my twinny but with futures base ,theyre out there.
Hello great review what do you recommend being a red baron and a seaside for waves in sri lanka and short summer days in France

for waves around 3-5 feet what baron do you recommend? red or black?
Hi mate. I would think the Black Baron would be a better choice to the Ted Baron if it’s 3 to 5’ 🤙
Hi @woolytv which is your favourite Barron?
The Big Baron was my fav :)
make it cheaper
? Make what cheaper?
Good info. Subbed !!! Don't miss out = P-R-O-M-O-S-M!!!
Thanks for the sub!
