I don't remember where, I think in the replies of a random comment of the prologue pit video but someone mentioned doing a specials/appeal only run, and that sounds really funny to me. Also doesn't sound like a bad strategy up until bonetail tbh.
Next challenge should be a "No B Button" challenge; you cannot use the B Button at all, so no using the hammer in the overworld, superguarding or even going back in menus
A cool challenge you could do would be the "Throwback" Challenge Rules: Only partners/items/badges that are in both games (TTYD: Goombella, Koops, Bobbery/64: Goombario, Kooper, Bombette) No Superguards/Spin dash (depending on the game) Can only use the same partners moves (Bomb, Shell Shot, Tattle, etc. [Only P badge is Charge]) Look up the challenge on the wiki for more
Of course you've got to do the pit, and as for the sack, go for it. if you have the fortitude to go back through the pit for an extra 50 floors then I'd say that its a fair trade off to see the pain of Bonetail.

how about a challenge that randomizes your badges after each fight that means you can check what setup you have before the next fight but you are not allowed to change it and for added difficulty the partner randomizes as well and you arent allowed to switch em except when they go down.

If there is an pit of 100 trials sequel to this, I hope you use some zess t items for it. I just think it would be cool to see someone use a zess dynamite in a non-casual playthrough
got a neat challenge that involves math, you can only deal even numbers of damage for example you cant supergaurd direct hits because thats 1 dmg (odd). There are also instances in which you cant jump on enemies since thats 1+1 which both are odd numbers. To make it simple, you cant have odd numbers showing up on screen. If you want to go a step further you can make it so enemies will have to deal even dmg numbers as well Which will double that iq needed.
My vote is for using the Sack, but not leaving the Pit mid-way. If you can scramble together enough items to go over ten, take 'em. Either way you're not reaching Bonetail with 20 HP Drains. And even if you did, that's only half his healthbar.

It could make it more interesting as then you have more focus on charliton to get more items making coin management more important and also makes finding items in the run off the battles post fight way more helpful and makes it more interesting I think!
Imagine doing a challenge run of TTYD where you play through every required battle BLIND, meaning you cannot see what the enemies or even yourself are doing and have to rely completely on sound cues to dodge attacks (think of blind Punch Out or Blind Super Mario 64). It would be cool to see that if it's possible lol. Face cam would obviously be required to do this. Also, you didn't name the Yoshi like in every other challenge run :(

So, I had a question, how powerful can you make power smash badge? You can increase its power by equipping more of the same badge, and you can get more of them at the don pianta arcade. It starts to cost more fp the more you have equiped. So, without modding or glitches, how powerful can you make it? You would have to find a sweet spot between fp and bp with level ups.
I have one for you to lose your sanity to. How few turns would it take to 100% TTYD. An upgrade from your previous video. You can determine 100% based on what the speedrun does.
This is so totally neat and cool 😎 that you can do this with those conditions even if you aren't a big fan of items or special moves much like how I was when it comes to hard fights. I honestly don’t think much fuss needs to be made over the iron clefts. It doesn’t need to be skipped, it’s a fight so linear it’s basically a cutscene anyway. I wouldn’t say it impacts the challenge in any meaningful way, just a small exception to the rules for the sake of progression

Great challenge, however I think you should have named it "No physical attacks" or "No direct attacks" rather than "no attacks" since the special moves are definitely attacks. An _actual_ no attacks challenge would be quite fun to watch actually (it'd basically be an items-only challenge), would be curious to see your strategies on this.
I don't disagree with banning double dip but if you want to shred certain bosses you want to use Triple Dip into Rally Wink into a second Triple Dip since Grodus especially would become next to impossible to kill otherwise. Still it is fair game to not use it since you can use two items per turn.
fully agree that if you just cut time from stuff that you could just save scum that savestates are legal its the same principle why i fully support hacked pokemon, assuming they stay within the realm of stuff someone could just get normally. besides the point of these challenge runs is the fights and not "can you spend 3 hours farming a minigame that is not impacted by the challenge at all"
I remember I tried to to an only item and star power run. at some point sadly I soft locked myself doing a glitch I didn’t completely remember. (It was cage skip) And that was after I got strange sack.
From all the videos I have watched of you, the challenge runs that you showed. Is that you never did a hammer only run, so I came up with very easy idea for you, in my head it's easy. The challenge is simple, you must beat the game using only the hammer, and You are not allowed to use attack items or special attacks and to make this challenge even more interesting, you are not allowed to use a D down P up Badge and No parries and no partners, but your partners could still appeal or defend. to a player who uses his hammer a lot I hope you have fun if you ever decide to take up the challenge.
Defeating Paper Mario enemies using consumable items to defeat them, so essentially the entirety of Sticker Star

Bobbery is arguably the most useful partner for this challenge, since his appeal clears fog.

Opening with Supernova instead of Art Attack would have done 3x the damage against Gloomtail for only 1.5x the Star Power.
