There is a sheer cliff with a with a large pool of clear blue water that can be seen straight from the main driving road in lake district. I went there when I was mid 20s and now mid 40s I wish to go back. Suggestions as to where this is apprecaited. I thank you for this vid also. Beautiful song rendition and the views
0:54 Is that a path that runs along the length of striding Edge?? I'm going here with a group of mixed abilities soon and need to plan ahead for those who might be scared of the scrambling route over Striding Edge
Did this I'm bad weather and it's not a good idea. Not for the faint hearted. And not for a bunch of amateurs. Didn't really get to enjoy any of it, just getting down the other edge and back on a path. Snowy, windy and poor visibility. Do it on a good day anyone having the idea.
I've done it a few times clear day its amazing. Done it when it was bad conditions zero visibility up on summit nearly had a panic attack thought I wouldn't find a way down winds were blasting could barely see 2 meters infront.. freezing cold. Luckily got down safe
Sorry for the late reply, people usually start from Glenriddig village and walk to the western side fo the car park, through the village main road, over a humpback bridge and just keep going up. The postcode for glenridding car park is CA110PA
Thanks, I used a Mavic Pro at the time, it had follow me mode which I used for this vid. I've since had a mavic air 2 and the HDR made the washed out sky a thing of the past.
Great video mate. I took the "easy" route up snowden recently, never done scrambling before, would you recommend this one to start on as a beginner (on a good day)
I assume you mean llanberis path? Depends on if you have a head for heights - I wouldn't go for something with so much duration if I were you. Perhaps start with the Pyg Track on snowdon. then maybe do Nantlle Ridge nearby that has some scrambling, but little enough that you don't have to commit for hours. If after all of these you're itching for further challenge, crib goch and striding edge sound like the place to go :)
This video is excellent. For the POV chest mount climbing shots are you on a particular section of striding edge e.g the chimney, or are there several sections similar to this on the ridge? I am going there in a couple of weeks.
Thanks, most of them are on the chimney and some of them are on the final steep scramble up to the summit just after the ridge. The video is a mix of all different bits going both ways but most of the head/chest shots are on those two sections, enjoy your day out.
Hello!!! What is your email? I would love to contact you regarding a collaboration/ music video usuing your inspirational clips of Helvellyn! Thank you Holly x
It's a pretty busy mountain, theres usually someone within 5-10 minutes who would spot my lifeless body and hopefully call mountain rescue, if it isnt too late ha! even with someone if you take a wrong step youre knackered!
Stunning footage. I could feel my palms getting sweaty just watching, thanks for sharing!
Thanks! That's the feeling I was going for hahah, thanks for watching!

Hi I was using a DHI Mavic Pro at the time but I have since had a Mavic air 2 with HDR, the HDR makes a big difference on washed out sky shots!!

Nice.
What mount did you use for the go pro? Cheers👌🏼
chest mount!
awesome drone shots - what drone did you use? I have a dji mavic mini. but it doesnt have the 'follow me' mode which I think yours has

@@karlofandango6108 absolutely!
Watkins path also has a little scramble for the last couple hundred metres or so 👍 not difficult at all so be good to give you an idea
Yes, all day long mate. This was my first scramble and did it with my 6 and 8 year old boys on a warm August day. No real difficulties.
Is there an "easy route" here?

Hi Holly, thanks for getting in touch. It's therossiboy1@gmail.com
Nothing too crib goch
Nice spot for getting stuck behind people who are frozen in terror and have no idea what they are doing. Hohum
Anyone done this with a dog ?
But, you are all alone, what happens when you do a wrong step

Tgat's a whole load of no.
I’m here do downvote this because you tilted the thumbnail to make it look way more dramatic.
Its a fisheye lens…
