I am pretty sure the next wood carving will be a hawk of some sort, But how to present it is something i am still a bit unsure of. One thing i am sure of tho is that the presentation i eventually come up with will be very unique!

I'm a carver and man your work is just so awesome, I enjoy everything about them, form, colour, grain of the wood, natural pose of the animals...another awesome piece, well done
I love seeing the oil applied as it brings your sculptures to life. I’m in awe of your sketches and watching you carve. Thank you.
I believe you said something about hoping this came across as a fox pup in the sculpture. The body shape does give off that "baby canine" vibe but the only thing Is keep an eye on is the snout. Your pup has a wide head and a short snout. He looks more like a wolf than a fox because of it. Other than that, it across as you hoped!
Wood grain in this sculpture is so beautiful! And yes, this fox has a piggy look hahaha (and kind of a sad look, too) and that's great, the fox has its own personality. I really like this sculpture, this is the one I would try to buy if I could afford it. I enjoy your videos every month, thanks for spending time and effort on filming and editing and all of that. Last thing I have to say is that your voice is very deep, I think it was for that reason that I was struggling to understand what you said, so I installed a chrome extension to increase volume over 100% and now I could understand your speech hahaha. Thanks Jonas.
While I do think the fox is too bulky for my standard view of how a fox looks, there's different foxes in the world and the sculpture is hella fire no matter what. Amazing work!
Thank you and yes i do agree! Maybe i should try to redo it next year and hopefully i am able to make it in a larger scale
Same, gg dude
I definitely agree with this. Amazing work but still, I think it might be a little too bulky
@@ItsJust_Crumbsreminded me of a tibet fox(Those are more broad faces than normal and pretty strange to me personally lol) I could be incorrect on the exact type though.
@@erebosthemogoreg That’s cool, thanks for the information
It's beautiful. I like the way the wood brightened up so much on the one side. It looks like sunlight is bouncing off the leaves. Nice work.
As always …. Amazing sculpture. Beautifully made ✨🙌
Thank you so much! Looking forward to share the next sculpture adventure with you!
Thank you Jonas for your talk through of your thought processes. Just watching you sculpt is amazing but knowing why you did it makes us understand your problems better. The little fox is beautiful!
Dude, your art and drawings alone are worth subscribing but your sculptures are truly wonderful. The imagination and vision of turning something 2d into 3d always blows me away because I know I for one don't really think that way so definitely an underrated talent in itself. Of course the workmanship and skill speak for themselves, very beautiful
it is AMAZING how the tail is sculpted!!
Thank you! I had a lot of fun with this design!
Subject: Prey and hunter. You can depict the hunt and the hunter, and make a sculpture in which the hunter catches his prey.
Could be a cool conept!
So much fun joining you in seeing if that branch would turn into a fox. Well done. I love the lightness of this figure.
Remarkable craftsmanship. Truly A Work Of Art !!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Your work is on a whole other level than most of the wood carvings I’ve seen. The way that you are able to capture the animal’s form, emotion and add a surreal touch to it is very impressive. This is the first video of yours that I’ve seen, but I intend to watch each of your previous ones as well. Thank you for sharing your creativity with me.
Ever since I took an introduction to sculpture class in college I've just had an utter fascination in wood sculptures and the processes that people have to make such incredible pieces. I absolutely love your work! It's the sort of art that inspires me, and that I hope i could inspire my own sculptures at some point in the future
Oh my goodness! Your art is absolutely Beautiful! It really comes to life when you add the oil. ❤🦊
Thank you!
This is so beautiful!! It looks like a whole story caught in a carving. I love the way you incorporated the element of wind and leaves. The fox looks so light the way it’s walking on its own tail. There’s a beautiful air of mystery about the whole carving.
This is so pretty! I feel like it looks more like a wolf because of the thickness of the limbs but I still love it!
Thank you! Yeah i can absolutely get behind that point
It os so wonderful and inspiring to see someone with a beautiful soul use the love within to create even more beauty. You are going to go far Jonas and I wish you all the success you deserve.
I really appreciate that!
This is one of the coolest and most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.
Haha thank you! I hope i can come up with some more awsome stuff in the future
Beautiful design and concept executed brilliantly, so jealous of wood workers. Something tactile to work on with a beautiful medium to work on.
Thank you so much!
The entire process is just SO satisfying and the end product looked AMAZING
The sculpture looks beautiflul! I didn't know that oil was used to give wood carvings this nice colour.
The autumn fox walking on its tail is very fun idea, as well!
Thank you! Yeah i love working with fun ideas like this. The oil brings out the beaty and it also protects the wood
This is the first video of yours I watched.. and this is INCREDIBLE!!! You should be so proud of all you have accomplished and how amazingly talented you are!!!
Thank you so much! That means a lot to me to hear! I am proud of what ive done here on this channel this year and i hope i can continue to make myself proud
As a teenager I grew up in Laguna Beach where Moens Abel (sp?) sculpted. I so appreciate your work. It’s lovely ! Blessings 😊
really love your passion for the trade. Your video's about the wolf pendant from 5 years ago inspired me to start tinkering with wood myself. Since then I've started going to a furniture makers school and been working in the industry for 2 years. Thanks for being a huge inspiration and Bringing me onto the path of this beautifull craft.
Thank you! Oh thats awesome to hear. I wish i had the experience as you then. I remember i wanted to go down the route you are taking a few years back.
You are amazing!! I absolutely love your artistry. Great piece.
Super
Tolles Video.

Thank you! Yeah it gives me a lot of meaning to make these wooden sculptures.
Your work is extraordinary. Your planning, your sketches, and your execution is just amazing!
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
@Jonasolsenwoodcraft You're Welcome!
He's so cute!! I love how you captured that slightly clumsy puppy energy with the big paws and ears ❤
Thank you!
9/10 times when someone makes something and it looks like I could do it, I definitely couldnt and its amazingly made (what I mean is that you did an amazing job and an amazing job showing the process)
Thank you! Im trying my best and looking forward to see where it takes me
Love the shots of oil flowing on the scultpute. Beautiful work
Thank you! Its one of my favourite parts of the creation
Que obra de arte incrível! Que dom! Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho!
I really like stone sculptures, figures created in clay are incredible, but I cherish your pieces made from what was once a tree and morph into a piece of art to be enjoyed forever.
Thank you so much! Yes i too enjoy all those sculptures. It would be fun to get into clay in the furure
This level of skill is amazing! Its so beautiful
Thank you so much!
😮😮 That turned out sooo beautiful!!! I love the the chubbiness of the fix kit! It's so whimsical with the tail and wind and leaves. Just amazing and stunning! ❤❤❤ Love your beautiful work!
Thank you so much!
The first log was spalted wood and is insanely valuable.
I guess some species are, But not this one. The spalting process had also gone too far
@@JonasolsenwoodcraftHave you tried injecting a epoxy resin into the punky part of the wood? Also you can dip it into pentacryl to help with some of that and also bugs
Spalting from a lemon tree is really gorgeous too.
You have a beautiful art style both on paper and with wood!
I w really enjoyed watching your carvings come to life. I also really enjoy the small bits of humor you add so keep that up. And don’t listen to trolls. You have some incredible talent and it’s wonderful to see you sharing it with the world so keep going!
Absolutely wonderful! I don’t have the words to express the joy of watching you create this piece of sculpture it gives me. I am in awe of your talent.
Thank you 💕x
Thank you! It means a lot sharing my creative process with others
عمل رائع.. تقريباً تابعت اغلب فديوهات القناة موهوب جداً.. تحياتي لك. 🙏
Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words!
I like how you included the process of how you analyze perspective. I go through the same as an artist with every acrylic paintbrush stroke. Thank you for sharing your process! Beautiful work!❤
The sculpture came out so nice, your skills are truly impressive
Thank you so much!
Well, my friend, your fox is gorgeous! I don't think you'd be as happy with it made from the birch. The walnut is much warmer.
As always you did beautiful work! Thanks for sharing
Thank you! The walnut did have aome nice colors. I was just very eager to try a different type of wood to increase the diversity of my exhibition
Reminds me of the game 'Seasons after fall' Very beautiful sculpt :D
Thank you! it is always very interesting to hear that what i create reminds people of something.
You, my friend, are an absolute gem! I love your work and appreciate your honesty about your craft. Love
Lovely art, lovely sculpting, and lovely video. Thank you for sharing this for al of us. Watching how you brought this picture to life as a sculpture was so cool.

Such an incredible journey thank you for letting us follow you!
Absolutely phenomenal!!! Thank you for sharing.
This is a masterpiece of creativity and excellent craftmanship. Well done, you are a pleasure to watch!
Thank you so much!
breathtaking skills you have!
Thank you so much!
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you!
This is amazing, I love how you were talking about the fox being younger and I think I saw a comment about how the fox is more poofed out than how they would do it, but I think it's great that way since babies would usually be more fuzzy than adults sense adults have e long fur while babies have short fur. I think that implication makes the fox look younger than an adult. I also think the face is perfect! I love your process and I love how you explained it! Thank you for this wonderful video and sculpture! :3
Thank you so much for the kind words! Yes there has been a lot of people critisizung how the fox doesnt look like a fox and i would say they sew correct, However im quite pleased with the whimsical result
Man, those nerves! That really caught me off guard. Well played, sir! 😆
This is beuatiful, you are very creative
This is absolut amazing…looks great with the wooden rings in the fox face…incredible
Thank you!
Dude you are sos killed and talented. Wish I could see your art pieces live one day!
Thank you so much! I wish so too!
Hi Jonas..again a beautyfull piece
Looks great Jonas. It will be a great addition to your exhibition. Well done.
Just beautiful!!!
so gifted,
when you can bring a peace of wood to life,
i hope you make the bird as well.
all my best
simon uk
Beautiful sculpture.
Thank you!
Such a beautiful piece😊
Thank you!
It’s so beautiful! I think it looks more like a wolf or something, but it’s not giving pig so that’s certainly great! I think it would look more fox like it the face was thinner. With something like a fox, when it comes to making sure it looks like a fox and not a similar animal, it really helps to look at pictures of foxes and similar animals (wolves, dogs, etc) and pointing out/scratching exactly what makes it look like a fox and not a dog or wolf.
Thank you! I agree with your point. Its alright that it ends up sort of fantasy like, But preferably i would like to be able to get closer to what i intended to carve
Awesome Work!
Thank you so much Zphoenix! Happy to see you around!
C'est magnifique!!! Bravo!
Amazing. God gave you an incredible talent. You are a great artist
your work is so amazingly beautiful!
Thank you so much!
I love watching you do your magic with all of the wood that you use to carve into statues you should do a master class on how you do it
i am addicted to your art.
Nice work!!
Absolutely amazing - thank you Jonas 🙏💫
Damn your work is soooo underrated ! It's sooooo cool, I think I'm gonna sub to you. I will whatch more of your video.
Thank you! Looking forward to share future videos with you!
Gorgeous Jonas! Another well crafted work of art.
Incredible piece of art.Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much! I appreciate the support!
I adore watching you carve, you make me want to pick up yet another hobby! I’ve been here for years now and every video I am just blown away by what you create next. I like this little fox, he seems cute and has kinda a melancholy expression to me. It’s like he’s walking through the forest right at the end of fall when all the leaves have fallen and winter is right around the corner. As for the next sculpture I am kinda leaning towards the realistic because I think it would be a huge challenge to do all the feathers and try to make them look real but maybe you could somehow mix both of them? I hope when you finally do have your exhibition that you give us a tour for those of us who can’t afford to fly over and see it in person!
As always, your humor and inspiration. Hugs from bohemian forest
Thank you! Hugs back from Norway
Your designs come to life you are an amazing carver 😊❤❤
You are amazing and talented!
Absolutely fantastic.
Thank you so much!
such a beautiful sculpture🫢😍🦊
Thank you so much!
_that_ is a truly beautiful piece, i'm honestly in love with it. It's exactly the type of design i adore... _beautiful_
Thank you! Im trying to find interesting designs with a lot of uniqueness for you to watch!
its amazing how much you improve with each work! truley great. started to carve wood thanks to you and I just love it!
I love your work. Just amazing
I really love watching your process, it's so creative every time
I love foxes, they are my favorite animal! This is definitely a amazing fox sculpture ❤🦊
Uhhh-mazing. Dang man, that was awesome. Great job
Thank you so much!
Great work. Next time you need to transpose some holes, put your sculpture on a scanner (carefully) and scan the holes. Then you can put the printout on the base and have perfect matching holes.
I think i will do that! Thank you
I was just recommended your channel but I'm very pleased I was! Your work is simply incredible and very mesmerizing to watch! It kind of reminds me of watching my grandpa do woodwork-- although his weren't anything as intricate as yours-- and me painting them afterwards; you've brought back very pleasant memories for me!
As far as your concern goes for the fox kit looking "piggy": I think the extra width and round proportions make it rather fantasy-esque and endearing! But regardless of how I look at it, you've done a fantastic job and got yourself a new subscriber :)
And for your art exhibition: I hope it works out for you. It would be an incredible opportunity to possibly get to see your works in person, but regardless of if that happens or not, I wish you well and I'm excited to see your future projects!
