Great! Im going through my own set of mental health difficulties and could identify with all three subjects here-- very encouraging, Thanks for making this!
A brilliant video. And so courageous of the young service users to be so open about their experiences. Well done guys, you should take massive pride in your contribution to the journey towards reducing the social stigma surrounding mental health :)
This explained psychosis very well. It really should be used for media coverage of the illness. It is the only form of mental illness that when it starts to happen you are not aware of it When you feel depressed you are aware, when you feel anxious you are aware but when you slip into a psychosis you have no idea what is happening to you. I think early intervention programs are great but they don't always work, you can still slip into a psychosis without anyone being aware of what is happening to you. Medication does not necessarily prevent a psychosis from happening again. It is a devastating illness which is why so many people with mental illness end up homeless. I have worked as a support worker to sufferers of mental illness and I am so glad that things have come a long way since the bad old days where there was not a lot of support.
Hi Julie, thanks for watching and leaving your feedback. We appreciate it. Just wondered if you could elaborate a little on the 'provider power disparity' comment? I'm not sure I understand.
Brilliant stuff. Synapse Theatre are soon to put on a play about one young woman's experience of acute psychotic episodes. Do follow us @SynapseTheatre for updates! Nice for people to know they are not alone.
Sooooo this turned out to be some kind of commercial for the pharmaceutical company??? I don't care how bad your condition is, medication is not the answer, if you have to fight tooth and nail through your condition til it kills you fine, but doing it with drugs or medication is an abomination to life and defeats the entire purpose of life its self.

That's heartwarming to hear, I'm touched it could help a little and that you can identify with some of the offerings. Makes it all worthwhile.

I seem to be hearing two videos at once. Which is strange for me.

Eh, why are the two women so beautiful?
