    Best tip I ever got on this was to "feel" like my lead shoulder goes down in the backswing. It got rid of my pull shots and turned them into draws. A turning point in my golf journey.

    You have a knack for dropping a video that is what I need to work on. Head still / eyes down the line + don’t release trail foot early and now add the “get the shoulders in sequence piece”. When I practice this “around around” it feels more like I’m starting the takeaway with the lead shoulder and starting the downswing with the lead hip would that be right ?

    • @tsgolf
      @tsgolf  8 месяцев назад +1

      That’d be a good way of saying it! Especially getting pressure to lead side early in transition! Thanks for sharing my man and let me know if you need anything! 👊👊

    i enjoy hearing the technical terms for the body movements because since i've been working on the rotational pivot type swing i have come to look at it that way with adduction, abbduction, flexion, extension, radial flexion, ulnar deviation etc. thnx.

      It is good to comprehend what the movements are and how the help us move the golf club in more functional manners

    Great videos Trevor, clear explanations. The only issue I have is that you are interchanging anatomical movement definitions. It is scapula ABduction that moves the shoulder into PROtraction. Shoulder ABduction occurs in the coronal plane (out to the side). Most of the movements you are describing are actually scapula ABduction (protraction) and scapula ADduction (retraction). If the arm is raised in front (shoulder flexion) and then moved laterally, (scapula ADduction) is causing the arm to ABduct. Since we are rotating at the same time there is very little shoulder ABduction happening, certainly shoulder flexion and a lot of scapular movement.

    Mike Austin was on about abduction of trail while addicting the lead shoulder at the end of the backswing for some final decrees of turn and massive coiling up. On one of the Mike Dunaway tapes.

    Mr Trevor.. Hobbled onto your 'simplistic abductutorial'' and after resuscitating the Kangol, flashed back to circa 2007ish in the mist of a Mr Plummer / Sir Charles Wi lll session.. Bona fide indeed.. Digg'n the flow, and was ponder'n if you offer an on-line coaching medium? Thanks many.. dB

    Wish this was taught with more emphasis on shoulder plane. The incorrect turn is one in which the shoulders turn on a plane that is too flat and leads to a change in spine angle. The correct turn is one in which the shoulders rotate on the same plane as the stationary shine. It’s a lot easier to grasp.

      I’m still trying to learn to turn correctly. I’ve been fighting a flat shoulder turn where I lose my spine angle for a long time. Feel is not real and working alone has not got me where I want to be. I wish I was closer where I could get some time with you and work on it in person with direct feedback in real time. When I’m swinging well I shoot around par. When I get off it’s mid 80s. So frustrated with the game right now.

    is the point of this drill to get rid of all spine turn or should you still have some spine turn coupled with hip turn too?

    • @tsgolf
      @tsgolf  8 месяцев назад +2

      This is just referring to the shoulders here. The pelvis will work a bit and ribcage area as well!

  • @chichoM3
    @chichoM3 8 месяцев назад +1

    No golf without proper shoulder mechanics. I kept bumping my left shoulder on my chin, shrugging somewhere in the backswing. Go figure.
    This cleans it up beautifully.

    People need to remember that your spine is in your back, not your chest. Rotate around it.

    This is what I see when I watch pros swing..yet instructors preach Toro turn..
    My only concern with this instruction is that it really has to be combined with correct lower body movement instruction or you would create an army of golfers doing static movements

      This vid as well is mostly talking about the movement of the shoulders. I agree the ground / pelvis especially is something that should be added to motion.
