Percussionist Marilyn Mazur was born in New York City to a Polish mother and African American father. The family emigrated to Denmark when Mazur was six years old. She studied classical piano from the age of 9, and also studied ballet. It was only when she enrolled to study classical percussion at the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music that she began to play drums. While still at college, she became interested in jazz after hearing Miles Davis’ Bitches Brew, and was soon playing gigs around Copenhagen in free jazz groups. 5:08 - Joseph Paice Source: World Of Jazz
Reggae Brasilian Rithm..... Heavy metal??? Prelude??? What? It stars and finished beautifully with this reggae Brasilian Rithm 👍 I just correct it 4 jaaaa zzzzz
I really like MARILYN MAZUR's percussion work on this song . Some may say let's say for example legendary studio percussion artist like Mingo Lewis would have played faster and more bad ass , but she did it just right .
@@JohnConstantine3 Miles Davis did a lot of covers of pop songs in the '80s, didn't he? "Perfect Way", Cyndi Lauper's "Time after time", Michael Jackson's "Human Nature" for instance

🐸 Heavy Metal Prelude⁉️ Miles away from this title❗
I think the same, literally I thought Miles did a colaboration with a actual heavy metal band.

I don't get it
Miles no longer gave a shit about. music. He just wanted to be famous of loved. Nothing to get.
@@frankfeldman6657 I hope you're kidding...
@@myboy576 Of course, absolutely! Totally kidding. This piece is totally the equal of Flamenco Sketches, etc. :-)
