Stabilised cream can be kept in an airtight container or piping bag for 48 hours, and it will be fluffy like freshly made! A stabilized whipped cream keeps its shape and is excellent for topping pies, cheesecakes, and more. Just a ½ teaspoon of cream of tarter per cup of heavy cream is all you need. OR For every cup of heavy cream you whip, beat in 1 to 2 tablespoons of sour cream or creme fraiche. It won't make it tangy (or not in any truly notable way) but it does keep the whipped cream stable. The shredded coconut ruins it for me. Needs more pineapple, cherry, and peaches to be called *Ambrosia: The Food of the Gods!* I despise other kitchen sink concoctions as well, particularly, Dressing/Stuffing, Cole Slaw, and Potato Salad for combining ingredients that should NOT be used together in the same dish.

I'd love this with a bag of my frozen cherries or raspberries instead of canned fruit cocktail...or even fresh strawberries!
Think it will taste better. Just omit the sugar, marshmallows and use shredded almonds if you must use nuts. Also use more fruits than this too.

Totaly agree with you. For me it didn't need the sugar or marshmallows. It also needed more fruits.
