    I love fruit salad, we have a Filipino version of Ambrosia salad ( fruit salad) but it’s really different ingredients, we use some of the local fruits like kaong on the bottle, nata de coco on the bottle also, we make that for special occasions like Holidays.

    I do mine differently. I use a couple of cans of fruit cocktail because it has all the fruit in it except Mandarin Oranges which makes it cheaper to buy if you are on a budget and easier. I then add a can of Mandarin, marshmallows, whip cream and some times coconut. It is an easy dessert and especially during the hot summer.

      Do not make the green jello as normal. We just add the green powder straight from the package to the whip cream mix. Do it a little at a time and taste. It can get too green and too strong very quickly. And we top ours with crushed pecans and more coconut.

    In the video you say one cup of whipped topping, but the printed version you wrote 2 cups. I am assuming it is 1 cup?

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt
      @inthekitchenwithmatt  10 месяцев назад

      Actually no I didn't say 1 cup of whipped topping. I said "one full tub or one container" if you rewatch at 2:02 you will hear it. Which is about 2 cups if using measuring cups. I also said near the beginning the amounts don't matter, so if all you have is 1 cup, like half of a container left, or if you make homemade whipped cream and all you have is 1 cup then that is fine.

  • @goingoneight
    @goingoneight 11 месяцев назад +1

    Wouldn’t it make sense to mix the whipped cream and sour cream together to whip it up good? Seems like you could incidentally have some areas of the recipe that were too sweet or maybe even just straight sour cream taste.
