Spelling fish while talking and writing other words is one crazy skill man
Having to type a word to choose your upgrade is such a clever mechanic to use

A dictionary feature that gives the player a thing to collect- typing the word collects it for the dictionary- and giving definitions for the words typed sounds like a fun way to add to this game and making it educational for school safe use too!
a dictionary feature would go incredibly hard

So yeah, it sound like zen + the za. It's a Japanese (loan?) word like ninja, samurai, shuriken karate and so on.
I suggest looking in dictionaries when you see weird or rare words, you can sometime learn new cool stuff and then all the words start bleeding in by osmosis. XD
One game worth trying it is the first Darkest Dungeon, the English level in this game is actually quite good, no wonder the narrator is so quotable. XD

This actually looks like a good time. I do not think my ADHD would let me talk and read and type at the same time. I'd just start reading every word I was typing.
A game like this, bit using spells instead, would be cool. Like lightning would launch lightning, and same for other spells.
i think this is such a great game for people new to keyboard learn fast typing!
the plural of octopus is octopi, because Greek root word origin.
Also the plural of sphinx is sphinges.

All I remember about Mathstorm was clomping around chasing elves with a net. I much preferred the game where you were going down a river and had to spell words, can't recall the name of it though. Also, Oregon Trail. We played a lot of Oregon Trail.

I just played this last night! I had it on my wishlist for awhile. my hands were quite tired after 40 mins of playing and I average 100+ wpm. I'm excited to play more and learn the builds better. I think the meteor weapon is just bugged. it worked in the trial I picked it, then wasn't appearing in trial 2 and 3
Ohh I remember enjoying Typer Shark which I think was a Popcap flash game when I was in school. More typing and spelling games! More!

This game looks fun as hell. To add onto the whole learning aspect a dictionary of all the words you’ve typed and there definitions would be cool! (Although a pain in the ass to make I assume)
I haven't played many typing games since the old 386 days, and I -- like yourself, as you said -- am not really into survivor-likes. Yet the synthesis of the two does seem intriguing.
I'll be interested in seeing where this goes when the new features get added.
Octopus comes from Greek, so the proper plural is octopodes(po-deez). Pus is foot, so its root is pod-, hence podiatry. Octopi is generally accepted as being easier to pronounce than octopuses or octopodes even if etymologically it's complete nonsense

Vampire Survivors is nothing like you mentioned at the beginning. You might die the first 3 or 4 runs but after that you'll never die to anything but death. It's fun but easy at least for me. This game just looks very plain. I suppose it is just words but Vampire Survivors it ain't.
Vampire survivors is one of the better of the genre. But many of them are exactly what I said lol
