  • Part 5 ground up build of A Ford Xy Fairmont at Rocksolid autobody. The car originally came in for a respray after being restored at a shop. though the the more opened the car up the worst it got. From a rusted out roof frame, to over an inch of body filler in some areas, the only way to fix this old girl properly was to tear it back down to a shell and start again. in this episode sill panels, pillars and the inner boot jams are welded back on, completing the frame so we can get it sand blasted. enjoy ✌🏽

    I'm amazed how fit and flexible he is that sort of work is exhausting. Big day of welding cutting grinding is a big day. He has got great work fitness. Would take a while for my body to develop that sort of stamina doing that sort of work every day

    Look at all the individual panel parts and compare to the way modern car sheet metal is made. Most are major stampings assembled by robots.
