Thanks you man ! 🙏 I had performance issue and after following your guide i actually gained performance compared to when i had no issue 🤯 my GPU sit around 99% - 100% usage now, it was more like 95% - 99% prior with 10 fps less. I have a R7 5800x3d (pbo enable, -30) and rtx 3080, i though that enough to max my GPU... I was wrong 😳
Finally got it stable, there are some things I do not like but it's so much faster than standard Windows and no bloat is amazing! The only annoying thing is having to set up Windows again for an OLED monitor. I spent hours doing tweaks to stop any static UI on the screen, little things like getting rid of borders which I cannot remember how I did before, I remember it was some registry edits to be able to do it as Windows would never allow black borders.

I used the old tutorial and this tutorial together to get Windows 10 Pro installed and it was a little difficult for a noob like me, i got it done. Only trouble i ran into while installing was the "windows cannot be installed to this disk gpt", but there's a 2-3min video on here that helps fix it quick! Now that i'm all installed, i can't figure out how to make my other monitor and TV detected.. As i wrote that last issue i left the monitor and tv turned on and it randomly detected them! Thanks for these in depth guides, feels good to have a clean snappy windows 10 install!
You should leave ability to choose windows version and leave microsoft store but without any software (except for notepad and calculator as they should remain present). You should also allow user to choose if they want to delay feature updates. In my opinion they should not be delayed for 1 year. Win 11 is still in beta (after 3 years of "stable") and I believe that there will come a month when this OS will finally become somewhat complete and I want to get this month update asap, not wait for 1 year.
Regarging to automatic windows updates.. After installing Windows and connecting the network cable, the PC will not automatically update the drivers? Or do you recommend installing the motherboard drivers first and then connecting the cable? Thanks for the contribution
Do you receive other Windows Updates but not the Drivers? Have you also checked under the optional updates? You can revert the update settings to default with the UWScript.ps1 file and then install updates, once it's all done, just apply the Recommended Update settings again.
@ nope, I think is a best practice to install drivers from mobo website . Windows is not the best choice to install driver updates I think . The ideal thing should be only install security updates and windows not to automatically install drivers.
Used program to install win10. One problem: I can't get network connection to other PCs to work. Would there be network dependencies that were stripped out? When I used v1.0 the network access worked as usual. Thanks!

Hi, i installed windows with your unattended file. Everything works right, but why when i installed chrome it says: Your browser is managed by your organization?
That is mainly because of these registry entries: ; CHROME [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome] "StartupBoostEnabled"=dword:00000000 "HardwareAccelerationModeEnabled"=dword:00000000 "BackgroundModeEnabled"=dword:00000000 "HighEfficiencyModeEnabled"=dword:00000001 What those do is it disables those settings in Chrome, which in theory should increase performance.

for me winutil was extremely unstable by either not installing stuff, or installing it in a broken state. (I had to reinstall Firefox, HwInfo and more).
I just removed the shortcut to it, mainly because of the reports of Defender flagging the shortcut as a malicious file. I also spent time developing a script with my own tweaks and needs and decided to include that. Yes, it's not near the state WinUtil is in, but WinUtil can just be launched with a simple PowerShell command, so just run the command and you'll get access to it.

What's the difference between recommended and default update settings? I know it delays feature update by a year if i remember correctly, how about security tho?
No, the in place upgrade does not work with XML files. What you can do however is use the UWScript.ps1 file to apply all of the tweaks to an existing Windows installation.

I have a problem, i wanted to install windows 10 build 10240 or 1507 with this and i put this autounattended file into my win 10 usb, once i started setup i let it install and when i came back it said just a moment, maybe it was startiong OOBE but after a few seconds my pc restarted, it then again started to load the OOBE, but the same thing keeps on happening and now im stuck in a loop. What should i do?

I installed a clean version using your settings. I have but a strange problem. I own a Surface Pro 9 and sign in options does not open at all. The settings app just hangs there showing the gear wheel and don't progress further. Is there something i need to enable ? Hmm this is interesting, I recommend that you use the UWScript.ps1 file to apply the default settings, specifically the Registry Optimizations, then restart, and see if the problem goes away. That will help narrow down what's causing that issue. I would also recommend creating an issue on the GitHub page so we can keep track of it.
Today 8/11/2024 I just tried to install Windows 11 without success, on my METABOX laptop with I9 13900h processor with 1TB SSD xml included, I proceeded to install the system, it started normally, it requested the language and the format and region both in US, then when locating the available disks where to install the OS, the error appears: 0x80070001 - 0x4002F
My partition screen says that I have 4 extra partitions, 2 un allocated and 2 regular partitions on top of the drive 0 that I can’t uninstall. It doesn’t let me delete them and when I try click on something else it says “cannot delete usb device partition” any idea what it might be? I had a theory that it was my mouse and keyboard but I have no clue.
so, does it delete some apps on bios level or they just being cut from windows side? The reason I'm asking is if u cut those programs its gonna be useless and will damage pc. Cause computer is working like that: pc make a check signal to, for example, edge for checking, because its in pc its how it works. If there is no edge - pc will put error and errors gonna accumulate and drop your fps dramatically. The only way to redo that - uninstall windows
I have a clean 24H2 W11 and a clean machine, install works 99% and I have a running system, however (for me) having the workstation service disabled means no LAN access to my NAS for files via drive mapping, also still having issues when trying to use Chris Titus, LOTS of RED dependancy issues and errors, not sure whats out of whack here...

It's better to just use Pro.
You can use the UWScript.ps1 file to apply Windows Default Update settings once Windows installed.

Winutil has massive problems right now unless its updated and fixed you should not use it and use other methods and websites to install software.

You guys are correct, if you replace the section with the generic key you want or with 00000-00000-00000-00000-00000 it will show all versions.

so, does it delete some apps on bios level or they just being cut from windows side? The reason I'm asking is if u cut those programs its gonna be useless and will damage pc. Cause computer is working like that: pc make a check signal to, for example, edge for checking, because its in pc its how it works. If there is no edge - pc will put error and errors gonna accumulate and drop your fps dramatically. The only way to redo that - uninstall windows

I have a clean 24H2 W11 and a clean machine, install works 99% and I have a running system, however (for me) having the workstation service disabled means no LAN access to my NAS for files via drive mapping, also still having issues when trying to use Chris Titus, LOTS of RED dependancy issues and errors, not sure whats out of whack here...
