  • Save yourself some money and replace your Husqvarna mower drive belt yourself. The video audio volume is low on the two sections where i put the camera on my motorcycle helmet to hold it in place - apologize for the low volume. Hope this helps someone with DIY project.

I use a garden pump up spray bottle with old burnt oil and diesel mix to coat under deck 😊

In order to remove the drive belt from the transmission pulley all you need to do is remove the four bolts holding the plastic cover that protect the transmission from debris. There are two bolts on the top and one each on the side near the wheel. Once you remove both wheels you will be able to see the bolts. Once you remove the cover you will have full access to the transmission pulley and belt. Take a pair of needle nose vise grips and hold the rod right under the pulley from moving. At the same time take a 1/2 each socket and on top of the pulley turn counterclockwise and the pulley will loosen. Take your hand and continue turning the pulley counterclockwise until it comes off. Remove the old belt and attach the new belt and use your hand to tighten the pulley back on top of the transmission. Make sure you pull the belt tight enough around the pulley so it can go between the belt guards. Then simply do reverse order on assembly. It normally takes approximately 15 -20 minutes to change a drive belt.

What belt did you buy? I’m replacing mine and cannot find the belt I need. I have the same mower the 700.
    Thank you for the video!
