  • Complete instructions to replace pulleys, belt and cable.
    Our 4 year old Husqvarna mower needed some work. The cable that activates the wheels broke. When we started working on it we discovered that the pulleys and the belt were in need of repair as well. We have used this mower on our farm for 4 years and it’s back in business.
    Please check the part description. I have updated the links as parts supplies change. But I can’t guarantee the parts have not changed

    Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.

    I have this mower. Needs this done. I already had it disassembled. Then when I was ordering parts, there were options for belt sizes. I couldnt source out the part number I needed. So I came here. I had to slow down frame rate to 0.25 and zoom in. But the belt clearly had the part number. Finally.

    My pulleys were seized up as well. 2 of them I was able to spray with JB Blaster and they freed up pretty easily and turn fine. The third took some soaking and still had to run a plastic punch thru the center, put it in a vice and turn the pulley to free it up. Then put the pulley in the vice and put a cordless drill onto the plastic punch and ran the drill both ways until it was fully freed up. Your video was awesome as well as your beautiful property!

    That was no mouse nest. These mowers do not have a great belt relay or grass clipping flow design. The belt basically transports and deposits debris around the transmission pulleys. It's HIGHLY advisable to clean out under the plastic top cover and bottom shroud after every mowing season.

    • @ajscott1293
      @ajscott1293 Год назад +3

      I own this very mower and today my belt pulley broke off. When I cleaned underneath it I pulled out about 5 lb of hay wet grass and nastiness. You are exactly right there is no protection for these belts It is one of the worst designs I have ever seen in my life and I've been mowing lawn since I was 7 years old. I take care of this mower I try to keep it clean but you have to literally flip it upside down to clean it every time. Design flaw from the very beginning I'm going to try to fix it but I'm a little pissed right now😂

If you're like me though in Charleston the heat index is about 115 outside and way to hot to spend a couple hours doing this. What I did was check and replace the 3 center pulleys and replaced the cable that goes to the handle, took me about 10 minutes and fixed my issue until I can deal with belt replacement this fall when its cooler.

    Awesome video!! You don't have to take that grey front cover off though. Remove the long bolt from the front transmission and the bolt behind the front wheel that holds the transmission steady. If you pull the transmission just slightly towards yourself, you can slide the belt over the pulley. Then you just put the guide bolt back through the transmission to hold the belt in place. Then replace the bolt behind the wheel.
