Hey Dean - what depth of water do you have the transducer in when you're using scout mode? Also, do you use a zero degree mount or just the standard one? Cheers
$3000 will get you a garmin lvs34, gls10, pole and sounder mount. You can spend more or less on the pole and sounder mount but thats a good budget to work off.
Hey mate yes around the $3k mark will get you onto any brand with a full set up, the bigger the screen the bigger the expense but i recommend going the biggest screen you can afford

I am 13 but a season of mangoes might cover it
@@Outdoor_Aussies i run my setup off a echomap ultra 105sv and it does the job. Dont need the best gear to make it work.
