it depends, but i can assure u. u'll see that "alien ware computer" of urs after u r done with ur works. being an animator is hard work, even getting a team is hard.

yeah im not known, im mainly just learning. plus im still in high school, and it would be hard to get any contact with a university

You know, what I hate about my high school is that if you can't draw anime, or proportional bodies, or have cool original characters, or recreate perfect pictures, they treat you and your art like nothing. That was also my 8th grade year of school.
+Aisling forest guardian (Araceli R./ Fania Fox) ......You mean if you can't draw? "Can't draw anime, proportional bodies, cool original characters or recreate perfect pictures". What else is there to draw if you can't do that exactly? Sometimes you have to take critism of your art and say "hey, I can't do this yet, but i'll practice until it gets better". If your art is bad, so what? Everyone starts off somewhere ya know. But, you shouldn't hate them for not sugar coating it, ya know? Just take it as a learning experience.
ttttttttp2 Exactly my point. If you try to do something completely unique and new, then people will try to point out the flaws it has, and try to convince you to alter it to look like another drawing style. I know it may sound silly, but I'm being 100% honest. They were a really tight group of individuals who only really like certain things, and are to stubborn to appreciate what others can do.
Aisling forest guardian I can sort of understand where you're coming from. However, as someone who's been into art since at least 3rd grade, maybe even sooner, and plans to become an art teacher in the future, I would urge you to be open to ideas about art. The biggest thing I've learned is that you should learn the basics of art before you go out and break it. For example, before trying to draw a unique style(breaking the rules), you should learn how to do styles that are the basics/traditionals. Now, I've always been into art, and tbh, I've always liked drawing anime. I've drawn other things besides anime, but that was my main focus. However, I've finally started learning the basics, and it really helps you overall polish and break the rules in beautiful ways. I hope what I've typed is helpful. I know its not always easy to change what you have going, but sometimes you should do it to, in the end, benefit yourself.

I'll try to be more open to opinions, I just hope the manner in which I stated my point wasn't to blunt, or making it seem like I was lashing out to anyone. I have just always had a problem with this sort of thing. But I all honesty, now that you've given me some insight, or at least another viewpoint to the matter, I actually see where you're getting your opinion.

I use paint tool sai on my PC and I color with a mouse,It's horrible how hard is to color with a mouse and my drawings are horrible too :(

Just go get a Wacom tablet from Best Buy! I bought the $200 one because it came with a lot of drawing software. Get the $80 if you already have a program. It works great!

Cintiqs cost over 1,000 dollars, usually, but you can get them cheaper if you look hard enough.

+AL-KUN if you like digital drawing you'll enjoy a lot more using a graphic tablet and pen , the precission that offers doesn't compares with that a mouse can offers.

Yoko5sos I know that, that's the reason I became really into making arts with a mouse. Before I found paint tool sai, I used to draw my arts on my scrap book. 3eSsOo is the main reason....
+AL-KUN oo, i was referencing to +Diego Sakurai I do art myself and in my opinion im more glad with using inc than digital, since i have a hard time drawing on computers. But if you can draw with a mouse you should totally keep it up. ;A;

Yes. Shiro has a slice-of-life manga, ヤマノススメ ( Yama no Susume ). A TV anime adaptation of this manga series has been green-lit for production. Its broadcast premiere will arrive sometime in 2013. You can find more information on Google.

Beautiful painting- what software did you use to paint that with? Also, I am in the process of getting a Cintiq- I agree with everyone saying they are expensive, but it's the closest thing to having the 'pen on paper' feel so if you're more into the classical side of production but still want to use a computer, after years of researching and trying to find the perfect device to do this Cintiq seems to be the best.

+Daniel Peixoto They used a Wacom Cintiq Tablet, they're super expensive though.. .o. Mainly the advanced artists use them, if you're starting out, like me, I'd first recommend a cheaper one to try it out first, I use a Wacom Intuos small pen and touch, it's okay. .3.

Mohd Adam I'm not sure for in other countries, but here in the UK it's about £1000, so I'm guessing maybe in America about $2000, but then again, I'm not sure about other prices in other countries.

The program they used is Paint tool SAI, it's a program that makes life easy.
I found it complicated. .A. But it was worth a try. Still trying to figure it out lol.
Buerk Dan it is complicated at the beginning, but once you get the hang of it, its' pretty nice.

JK, I always wanted one of these, because it's better than paper:
1. faster and easier coloring in
2. better lines erasing
3. you can use the undo thingy
4. you can save it and find it easier than papers
5. you can copy and paste it somewhere
6. use a background from the internet
ect.
btw: Love the drawing!
don't forget the best part about it, seperate drawing layers(if u made a new layer, u can't erase the first layer on the new layer unless u press the first layer again) and those image copying thingy :3 i love the future of animation right now
plus you can copy like the eyes because lining eyes are VERY VERY hard believe me...

I think that isn't the problem here. The problem is that does it make sense and more importantly is it sane to pay that much for a rather simple thing when there are so many other places you can invest in. If you are working and save just for this thing it shouldn't take too much to be able to afford this thing. Even if you're just a student working part time you would still be able to afford this thing. BUT personally I feel like 2K is taking it to the limit. It's insane.
