Back in 76,Caterpillar wanted to build a plant in Lafayette IN. They had an economist on a radio station talking show. He said when the government spends a buck that it filters though the economy 3 times. When private enterprise spends a buck,it filters through 10 times.
I was in a grocery store and a lady in front of me tried to pay for groceries, she was in around her 83-84. she didn't have very many items, she had on nice clothes, fingernail polish, and her hair was a mess, some makeup, and by all means not heavy. She tried to pay with a card that had four dollars on it, look like a welfare card, what cash she had in her purse was about another four or five dollars, and a medicine bottle full of change, she had about $22 worth of groceries, 10 dollars worth of cash, I told Clark give her the money back, I would pay it. Of course made her embarrassed and very happy.. people on fixed income are just plane screwed. And from what I can tell she was getting assistance from the gov. Wake up America.
