Doug, is THE BEST storyteller! I love listening to him explain his boat stories. What a great guy!
Totally agree!
I’d rather Doug did all the videos.
@@mmmemgggg617
So true
Dougo for President🤣
Agreed. Polar opposite to the cornstar equivalent
Chris, if you read this, Good Luck to you, we’ll miss your humor..Hope we see you again. And Doug you can look forward to that Happy Day when you say Sold It!
Doug's story telling is one of the main reasons I watch. If the outboard has a vibration next year, remind him about the dial indicator! "It's OK" he says after a visual inspection, lol.
Your dad’s explanation of everything kills me. He is on point on his topics.
Dougo is an absolute Hoot !!! He makes my day with his sense of humor!! Told Chet Keep your scab picking fingers off my speakers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m crying
Great video as always Chet !!! Will be lookin forward to the next one 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️
Sorry to see Chris go. Just start watching this fall and enjoyed his sense of humor. Onward though.
Have a feeling he will be back. And feel like he'll be a full time eventually.
I really agreed with the shirts he wore!!
Take care Chris you will be missed. I hope you have a good year.
I really appreciate how your farm cleans and maintains your equipment! Getting a machine good and clean before starting the maintenance really helps in spotting future problems. Hoses chafing, belts wearing inappropriately, welds starting to fail, seals leaking, and on and on! Catching problems now helps to keep your equipment in the field when you really need it. Keep up the great work and keep posting your wonderful content!
What a creep arse!
Chet is exactly right that much prop damage it needs to be checked
Chris, we will miss you! Best of future endeavors.
A boat owners motto. The two happiest day in a boat owner is the day you buy it and the day you sell it. 😅
I was always told; a boat is just a hole in the water you pour your money into.
Soooo true ! ! ! !
Dougo says that at 25:10
Love owning my boat
Let's start a GoFund Me for Chris to come back!!!! What is it gonna take!!?? Just as he started getting more comfortable with the shenanigans he up and left. 😢😢😢😢😢
He was seasonal and might/ probably have other commitments. Maybe they'll work something out later on in the year.
Boys and girls, gather round; it's the Mr. Doug story hour. Best entertainment since Clem Cadiddlehopper. 😀
Dougo is the funniest farmer on RUclips!!! I was crying when he was telling the story😅
Give Chris an offer he can't refuse, he is definitely worth it! Great Video as always!
We’re all gonna miss Chris. Wishing you guys the best. Good video 👍👍❤️
Never a dull moment with Doug around. Love you guys
Dougo is a natural he has the best sense of humor. I think him and you all for always getting laughter when Doug is around. Love Amy Larson channel to get even more laughs from Doug! 😂❤
Doug is the best Storyteller I've heard of in a while I can't help but laugh after you said that woodpecker speaker😂 great video chat take care God bless
Chet your Dad is the best. I enjoy listening to his conversations. Keep up the amazing work Mr. D. Larson.
It's 1:30 in the morning and I was feeling down about my wife passing away, and I viewed your post and I laughed so hard to hear Doug tell about his "new and improved" wonderful props. Thank you so much for your posts and the "fun" you have working so hard. I grew up on a small dairy farm in a small town of Silverton Oregon. Please don't stop posting...I look forward to your posts. BB (Be Blessed)
Sorry for your loss. I had to check your name and see if it was my father-in-law who just lost his wife seven weeks ago. Since he’s a retired Black dirt Central Illinois farmer, it’s very suspect the amount of widows that within 24 hours started, expressing their condolences. His daughters are a little irritated.😅
I’m glad you found Some enjoyment. Sorry for your loss.
Man no chris that hurts i had so much hope. We need him back!!!
Being born and raised in South Louisiana I can confirm that many really good prop shops can rebuild those props for you to make them brand-new.
Having friends with a lake, boat or pool are the best. The friend with these are always working and or stressing
Chet ur are blessed working with your dad n friends. Dougo is always good to hear stories!
Bought a new ranger bass boat. Hit a stump in the first hour. Bent the output shaft and destroyed the gears in the lower unit. Just over 1 hour and $5500 dollars in damage
I am almost at the point of launching the boat and then just fishing from shore. stupid boats - just this stupid fishing addiction I have.
Lmao Dougo got no shame in his game 😂😂 “I’ll take anything I can get” 😂😂. Sad about Chris
Sad to hear Chris isnt coming back! He was fun to watch on the channel.
"Mom loves the boat."
You can see Dougo's mind thinking if he should say what he is really thinking. haha
Hey Chet, Doug is so correct I live in Florida on the Gulf with a boat, yes bring steak, beer, gas it got so crazy I was going broke with repairs as well as maintenance. A reminder B O A T (Bring on another thousand). I gave up with so many requests every few day I sold the boat. I thought it was over when I sold the motor home. They keep calling and asking now it’s the weekend pool party. God give those with lots of toys strength.
In Dutch the saying is: "Koop een boot, werk je dood!" which loosely translates into "buy a boat, work forever!" 😂
Chris was great. Hope he comes back. And Dougo with the woodpecker speaker eater. 😂
Doug, you are the star of this channel. Love your storytelling.
I appreciate your videos.
Great video. Thanks for sharing
great video guys. thank you
This Was So Good.
Thank you. Stay warm and safe.
Thanks guys, good video,
Thanks 👍
I fixed boat props for 27 years, I was certified with the NMPA, these are the prop shops you're looking for. If the repair shop doesn't ask you questions about performance, you're at the wrong shop. Keep Smilin
Enjoyed this one a lot and seeing the pontoon boat brings back memories, nothing more to say, if you know then you know. Thank you and take care.
Awesome shout out to Chris & Jordan. Chris diffently fit in with the Larson crew well and will be missed, maybe a new shirt release for him??
thank you
Always in joy Doug stories
Duggo.... you crack me up on a regular basis!! and thanks for that...
Russ
worked as a outboard lower unit mechanic for some years…. if your prop hit something, sheared a pin, odds are your lower unit gears are damaged or the prop shaft is bent….
Poor Doug. Love that guy..
I just luv listening to Dougo rant so funny. Changing the oil in the boogie wheels looks like a pain in the butt
Good luck Chris!
Loved them
You guys are the best, you make my day!
Chris I really enjoyed you reaction severity meter when chet use to say things like "that's not the worst I've seen" then Chris's face reaction "WTF that is terrible, but that isn't the worst...."all in just an expression
Love Dougos stories
Sure enjoyed Chris pretty witty and a hard worker. If we see him on Cole the Cornstar that would be interesting. Chet looks like he's made it through the holidays and wedding highlights show. Again condolences to Brody on the passing of his grandfather.
Great Video - love Doug's commentaries! Lol!
Chet, what’s not to enjoy in your content? Great as always!!
I was in the USCG for 6 years and a boat was called a very expensive hole in the water! Good luck Dug o !😊😊😅
I heard that a boat is a hole in the water that you throw money into
My friends with a boat were the same way. The first year they got it they put 40 hours on it. The second year 16 hours, the third year 4 hours then it sat in the building for 2 years never used. They bought a bigger boat that they could sleep on and planned to go on long trips. They had to rent dock space on the Mississippi River 30 minutes away. When they found out how much fuel it used they decided not to make any long trips. They had to pay to have it lifted out and stored every year. They used it for two summers then sold it.
You guys are one of a kind, Chet don't forget to tell him.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHET AND DOUGO 😊
You keep your equipment looking great. It is good you have a lot of knowledge among all of the crew.
Great times as usual!!! Need keep a clean paint tray for the odd drip trays!!! Keep up the amazing work
My husband and I use to go fishing on that lake years ago and yes there are some big boulders on it. Loved fishing there😊
Thanks Dougo I needed a good reason to smile today lol
I was watching when Chet and Brody were cleaning the chemical trailer. Chet talked about getting the swags out of the line under the trailer.my suggestion is, use a split pvc pipe a half inch or one inch larger than the line , length of the trailer and mount it so you can tip either way or, just mount the line in a pipe ❤
Being the same age as Dougo, I really like his stories. I still would love to hear a chronology of the equipment over the years. I found it very interesting that not all that long ago (in my mind LOL!) the farm used, what? two JD 55s and a 4400 ? At least I think that's what he said once. I think he said they once planted 500+ acres once in day with a 12-row planter. Pretty cool stuff!
Fun video.
dougo it a breath of fresh air
Amen on that. The boat life is expensive but its fun.
Had to chuckle at the 9v battery test. Going thru chemo for the past 3 years my tongue has that taste 24/7.
Aw man the boat stories are fun! Bought my first boat in 2021 and haven't really regretted it yet, however money has been spent on it in various forms! 😂
Awesome video Chet. DougO' is the best. Eric must of been hunting. Then there's good ol reliable Brody working away like usual. 🚜🚜🚜
Gonna miss Chris. Good luck in your career Chris and God bless you. Great video.
Thanks for another great video Chet.
It most certainly was interesting.
Oh my, another boat story by Dougo. Most entertaining stories are about the boat. Now the props on the motor are bent. That will be an expensive fix I bet. Hang on Dougo.
Like to hear your boat stories Dougo.
Oh my, hang in there. We will be ready for the next one.
I know how you feel Dougo. I had a race car for a short time. It was terrifying expensive just keeping it going. The bent up parts just killed you. Loved the day it got sold. No more headaches. Bye.
Really am sorry to see that Chris has left. He was a great addition to the Larson team. Super nice guy. Understand he had other things to do but sorry he left. Thanks Chris for all you did for the Larson family. Take care and my best wishes to you always.
I see the purple truck had an engine overhaul. Should be a good runner now.
Thanks for everything Chet. You all take care and be safe.
The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Dougo crack me up, Great job!
Always good stuff guys😊😊😊😊
I look forward to each and every video
great video
Your right happy when buy it , and when you sell it
You're in good shape Dougo the lower unit is still on it.
I run a disco with a radio mike and i always test the battery like you did i think if it hurts its good if it don’t hurt its junk..👍
LOL!!!! Those with boats have lived the same frustration. At least yours is an outboard and you can touch the parts you need to work on.
wish we would be able to have moisture problem you guys will for spring time for our farmers and for the fires we had last year, no fall rains and still not much for frost and snow in northern bc canada where i am, heres hoping it changes midwinter
Sometimes "boat" is spelled "boatt", as in "ten thousand" (been there, done that). Do a run out check with a dial indicator. Most brands specify no more than 2 thousandths of an inch (0.002"). Keep in mind that a prop shaft being bent 0.001 from straight will rotate and give you a total of 0.002" out of true. It doesn't take much of a whack to bend a prop shaft, especially on the dual prop installations. You may also look at submitting an insurance claim. (again, been there and done that).
If you bend a stainless prop, you’ve bent the output shaft. The bent shaft will take out the lower unit gears. Very expensive.
You bend an aluminum prop, the output shaft may be good.
Lol awesome video.....love you guys
Chris was without a doubt an asset to the operation all around, hopefully he will be back, he will be missed. On Dougo's hotrod, decked-out party boat, bent propellers are always going to happen no matter what, trust me when I say that from experience....😎. They just go to show good times were happening.........👍.
especially when you bend the hardened steel ones like Dougo has you know you hit something good. I have taken some nice chunks out of / bent the softer metal ones. Wont even get into why my skag is half the size it should be. Good ol' Mille Lacs. I've towed boats back to the landing that were missing entire lower units - it happens.
I had a Thunder Jet in Alaska for river running.
I was sad to see it go.
Miss the fishing in Alaska, now living in Tennessee.
chet you have an infectious laugh. I can be in a bad mood and you and they guys always seem to get me out of it for how ever long the video is. Chris is a great asset sure wish he would come back, love his inter action. As like many other people I would love to meet your family and hang out for a few days just to see what it's all about.
Chet is busting a gut and Doug is just calming telling his experiences as a "boat owner"...........PRICELESS!!!
I live a a 60ft canal boat I have done for 14 years and love it and yep we say the same in the uk bung on another thousand.
Hopefully Chris can come back for a visit. He sure was a great guy and dam smart.
Farm is lucky to have you, Brody and Eric. You three along with Dougo's guidence
makes a great team .
TAKE CARE GUYS, STAY SAFE AND WARM !!!!
Chet, since the lower unit is being rebuilt. Look into Skeg Guard. It protects the skeg on the engines lower unit from damage.
I appreciate your boat situation. My son borrowed mine one year and the seawater pump impeller failed. He was towed back to the dock and then it was off to the shop for repairs. I then took it out and blew the head gaskets as the engine overheated! You'll never guess why! The shop failed to clean out the cooling system of the hard rubber parts from the previous impeller failure! Oops! Needless to say, I found all this out and more improper maintenance when I did the repair work myself! Do it yourself and save in the long run, unless you have someone you really can trust! Hope you all had a great Christmas and Happy New Year!
The woodpecker deal is a new one. Been around boats of all sizes for over 65 years.
The reason the boat was bought makes it priceless. if you know then you know.
Yes Chet you know all about the boat and docks. Every spring and fall you get the call what are you doing on Saturday I need help with docks.
Dougo tough luck on the rock. We've all been there. Mine took the lower unit out at the same time
A friend once said. “My boat doesn’t run on Thanks Man”
Doug is a smart man!
We are in Manitoba Canada and we got over a foot of snow this week
Bust out another thousand, never heard that one. They are stinking enjoyable when it's a good day. Somehow stayed even on my first Powerboat. Duggo it's a lifestyle, just gotta think that true boaters never complain. Great stuff I was laughing
Haven't seen Toby the beagle in a while. Is the good boy ok?
