Inspired from your videos, Im just done with my "38 EUR" MCP. Was also about one year in the making, but I'm still on FSX PMDG 737. I designed my front and base plate out off PCB's then ordered them in china. It saved me all the mechanical work and a lot of wiring cause I soldert all the components in it. I had my issues by setting mobiflight up, but now everything works just as I want to. (except I can not program the speed display in mach) Thank you for those great videos, i enjoy them everytime. @@karlisk4 hallo, no for this I used eagle. And to be honest, I made some mistakes on the electrical design. But I could fix them with a few extra air wires. And don't daisy chain 5 led displays together, it won't work. I did split them in 3 now. The mechanical design however was a perfect fit 😀
Brilliant design and execution! I love the fitment and layers of panels to create the mounting layers for everything. One suggestion; get a red gel/filter and put it over each of the 7-segment displays. it will drastically improve contrast and readability of the displays. :D Cheers!

This comment probably popped up a couple of times and, here's my issue: I'm using a Creality Ender 3 Pro and even after removing the skirt cant seem to fit the LH Backplate on the bed in Cura. The RH Backplate "Small Printbed" files are perfectly broken up and it would be nice if that was the case with the Left side. The only solution I don't really fancy is rotating it 45degrees vertically however that ends up with a print time of 1day+ I've already began and printed the back boxes and would hate to have to drop the project because of this. Many thanks and best regards, Alan
Awesome unit. My biggest complaint is that the input response delay for the encoders (ex. ALT, IAS, COURSE) is really bad. I would recommend whenever possible to use FSUIPC offsets for encoders instead of events. You get much better experience with almost no delay. This is based on my experience with setting up encoders.
Hello, I have not seen any delay since mobiflight ver 8.2. Infact while filming this I was super impressed with how fast and responsive they were. I do use FSUIPC with prosim. But looking forward to PMDG 737 release and seeing how easy it is to interface with the new events.
@@helimech8152 What I mean by delay I guess is how the value changes compared to the real aircraft when you turn the knob. This can be tested by changing the heading (for example) at low granularity and high granularity (turning knob slower and then turning knob at medium speed and turning knob really fast) and observing how much the heading changes in the simulator compared to the value change in a real aircraft. You will notice for example that turning the knob fast for Speed/Alt (especially) will make the values increment higher then they should. This is an issue I have in the CRJ. It is not a Mobiflight issue, I think it is the aircraft implementation within MSFS2020. Can you do a quick video and do a those 3 tests? Maybe I am seeing this only the CRJ.
@@helimech8152 Hey Karl, aaaa I see.. I tried "12 Backplate LH" and it did not fit, but it will when rotated 45 degress and printed upright. Got ya. But afaik the missus has no clue what to get me for christmas, so I'd throw a CR10 in the ring :p Anyway, great build an effort, Karl. Greetings from Germany!

Oi boa tarde, parabéns pelo seu vídeo, Não consegue saber como foi feita as ligações doas botões, quais pinos liga no arduíno. Obrigado pela atenção.
Awesome. Instant like. Bummer it won't fit the Ender 3 build plate :(
Hello Danno! Of course it will fit the Ender 3 Build Plate. Check out the print guide, It was specially designed to fit both printers!
@@helimech8152 Hey Karl, aaaa I see.. I tried "12 Backplate LH" and it did not fit, but it will when rotated 45 degress and printed upright. Got ya.
But afaik the missus has no clue what to get me for christmas, so I'd throw a CR10 in the ring :p
Anyway, great build an effort, Karl. Greetings from Germany!
