- Опубликовано: 1 авг 2024
- Hello again! Welcome to my latest video - another large puzzle! This one is 6000 pieces and my biggest single piece count puzzle that I have attempted i.e. 6000 pieces, mixed, not in sections - eek! Please enjoy watching this gorgeous Venice Sunset puzzle by Clementoni, and how I pieced it all together.
Thanks to Smyths Toys who sent me this puzzle to build for their social media as they are now selling this puzzle online on their website.

Enjoyed this video 😊 Like that you stop the time laps once in a while to share your thoughts and the process, makes it so much more interesting to watch.
Thank you very much for your feedback, I really appreciate it and I’m so glad you enjoyed the video 😊
This puzzle was gorgeous! The mix of colours were fantastic. Enjoyed your video very much 🥰
I loved the colours in this puzzle as well, it made it a joy to build 😍 thanks for watching - I’m glad you enjoyed it 😃
I really enjoyed this video it's a beautiful puzzle
Thank you! This is one puzzle that surprised me - I was asked to build it so it wouldn’t ordinarily have been one that I chose to do myself, but it’s one of my favourites now. The colours in it are just so gorgeous and it was a joy to put together 😍
I've done this puzzle too 😊 I bought it not because I liked the image (I actually don't really like piecing together images of cities/buildings or landscapes) but because it was extremely cheap and I wanted to know what it feels like to do such a large puzzle. I also did it on 4 foam boards (just, mine were bigger, 100×70 cm each). The pink building on the left and those old windows and the balcony - that was a nightmare. I thought I'd never finish it... Overall, I'm glad I did this puzzle (especially because all my family thought I was insane...). It took me 28 days to finish it (I was working on it in the evenings mostly). As far as Clementoni puzzles are concerned, I find that the quality is not always the same. For example, the 3D series has great quality, but those supposedly "high quality collection" editions tend to have a pretty poor printing... So, Clementoni is not my favourite brand. I'm drawn more towards Bluebird (Turkish/French production), Ravensburger, Gibsons, Heye, Jumbo, or Schmidt. Also, my local Castorland puzzle brand is pretty decent too.
This year I bought myself 3900-piece Zodiac puzzle by Grafika (Josephine Wall image). I wonder what the quality is going to be like. I've heard a lot of good things about Grafika. So, I can't wait to start that puzzle and figure it out myself (though, this puzzle needs to wait a bit; I'm definitely not ready to do it yet. I haven't "recovered," yet, after finishing the half of 9 thousand Educa puzzle "Garden of Earthly Delights" 🙈).
Thanks for talking us through this puzzle,
Your explanations on how you are doing this puzzle are very helpful
Thank you - I like to explain my method as I go. I’m so glad that you find it helpful. Thank you for watching 😊
❤️🧡❤️🧡❤️
Amazing!😱😍👍
To put it on the wall!😃👍
Thanks! I would love to wall mount it, but it won’t be just yet as we are moving soon 😊
What a gorgeous picture! Going to look for it myself! ❤
I would honestly recommend it! It’s not my usual type of image to build in a puzzle, but I loved every moment of it, and now it’s one of my faves 😃
Thanks for posting. Really enjoyed doing the art for this.
Oh wow! That’s incredible 😍 I enjoyed every minute of this puzzle - it is one of my favourites to date! I loved the colours - especially in the sky 😃
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this one. What a gorgeous and lovely image. Good idea of using some foam boards to house the four quadrants of this big puzzle. Looking forward to watching the sister video on the tips of managing big puzzles.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind words. I am glad you are looking forward to the next video - I’ve scripted it - now I just have to film it - it’s hard to find quiet moments in our house to do it, but I’ll get there 😂 yes - the foam boards have been a game changer for me with regard to large puzzles! 🧩
Well done Vicky. I did a much smaller version of this one. I have always done puzzles without sorting. After watching yours, I think I will have to start doing them the way that you do. Who says an old guy can't learn something new! Thanks, see you on your next video.
I’m not naturally a sorter, I don’t tend to sort 1000 piece puzzles, but I just feel for the larger ones that it’s mandatory, it would take me ages otherwise and I’d probably lose pieces 😆 If you decide to sort the next one, let me know how it goes 😀 thanks for watching the vid, I am enjoying your vids as well 🧩
Catching up on your older videos and really love this one. The finished image was better than the box image. The colours were so vibrant. Well done.
Yes, it’s a beautiful puzzle and I thoroughly enjoyed it! It’s not the kind of puzzle I usually do, but I loved it. It was such a joy to work with the pieces as the colours were just so lovely.
I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks so much for watching and catching up on my old videos too 😍
Excellent... Congrats... I did a 9000 piece Ravensburger puzzle and, like a crazy person, I combined the 2 bags together to complete one big build...
He he, I’ve got a 9000 piece Ravensburger waiting to get done - I mixed the bags too! 🤣 looking forward to it though!
@@Vickymakesandbuilds Mine was the 1611 World Map... good luck with yours....
I think your amazing and your very good at what you do. I enjoy watching you put them together. I once did a 10000 Coca-Cola can you please do one. Thank you.
Thank you so much! That’s lovely 😍
I’m so glad you enjoy the videos and the puzzles.
Did you say a 10k Cola can?? Or did you mean 1k? I’ll look that one up - what brand is it?
Looks really great . Good job
Thank you so much! 😍
Just starting to watch this on a break. Beautiful puzzle! The biggest puzzle I’ve don’t was only 2000 pieces, I also dread sorting so I prefer using cafeteria trays. I just put them upright in no particular order but I can see them all. Then I can easily look through each of them and grab the pieces I need. They can stack up if you place them slightly off center and are very stable. I keep the edges separate so that’s all the sorting I do.
Thanks, it really is lovely 😊 great idea using cafeteria trays, they would be large enough to really spread the pieces out. I think I’ll try some smaller puzzles for a wee while 😊 then I can go back to my ‘shuffle method’ for a bit 😁
I've been using cafeteria trays for about 6 months now and I love it!! You can even make like 3 layers of pieces and it will still stack up, and this way you don't need to use other puzzle's boxes or lids, so you don't get them ripped off. I have these small 500 pieces puzzles and they fit perfectly on the trays, so I grab two, sit on my sofa and puzzle throughout the night while I watch TV.
I'm new to your channel wow 👌 amazing I did a 500 piece with 7 kittens it took me weeks have a good month 💖
Hi! Thank you so much for subscribing to my channel - I’m glad you like the video, I really enjoyed this puzzle a lot 😊
The main thing is that you have fun with your puzzles, doesn’t matter how long it takes, as long as you enjoy it 😍
Beautiful puzzle! I'm still pretty new to puzzling and haven't gone over 1000 pieces yet. Maybe one day!
Thank you 😃 this was my very first 6k, I hadn’t really done large puzzles before this one, and I was a bit daunted, but once I’d sorted the pieces - it came together fine 😍. If you’re ever not sure about a bigger puzzle though, it’s nice that you can do it in steps - move up to 1500 or 2000 pieces, then 3k etc. it doesn’t seem like quite as big a jump then 😊 thank you for watching!
Great job!
Thank you so much 😊
@@Vickymakesandbuilds you're welcome
wow great work!, I really like the quality of the image, maybe this was my next one
Thank you 😍 Yes, it’s a gorgeous image - I would highly recommend it - let me know if you give it a go! 😊
A really nice puzzle 🧩 du bist eine super Puzzlerin 😉
Thank you very much 😍
I rewatched this video this morning and my cat listened to you like you were his mom I swear lmaoooo. He was watching it all and when your voice got higher for some reason he was reacting with his ears and face. This was really funny 😂😂😂. If I was passing in front of him, he was moving his head to see the tv lmaoo. What is this cat 🤣
Aaaw bless him! That’s so funny 😃 he sounds like a character! Gotta love cats 😻
Hi thanks for this video. I am a new puzzler and I can't even imagine a 6,000 piece puzzle. I subscrided to your channel..
Hi, welcome and thanks for subscribing! That’s great that you’ve started puzzling - this was my first 6000 piece puzzle, and I was a bit nervous, but once I figured out how to fit it in, it came together fine. I really enjoyed it 😍 thank you for watching ❤️
Vicki these are my favorite images to work I don't have the room for puzzles this big though the puzzle is really beautiful
Hi! It is not my usual type of image to puzzle, but I have to say I loved it - it was so pretty to do and the colours were lovely to look at as I was puzzling. Thank you for watching the video 😍
@@Vickymakesandbuilds you're welcome
Hi Vicky. On a previous comments I mentioned the 6000 Bluebird puzzle called Magic Circus Parade. The puzzle you have shown called Downtown is quite a similar image and just as colourful. Downtown is now on my 'To Get' list.
Oh brilliant! Let me know if you get it 😃 I will definitely check out Bluebird. I haven’t got Downtown yet, but I did recently get the Clementoni 6000 piece Las Vegas puzzle 😍
The gifted hashtag is appropriate you certainly are ;)
Thank you, that’s lovely, but I use that hash tag because this particular puzzle was given to me by Smyths Toys 😀
How many pieces approximately can fit in one A1 board and what is the measurement of an A1 board?
Loved, loved, LOVED your video; I had so much fun! It almost feels like building it with you!
Hiya! Thank you 😍 I really loved building this puzzle - it was fun to build! In answer to your questions, A1 foam board is 59.4 x 84.1cm or if you prefer inches, it’s 23 3/8 x 33 1/8 inches. How many pieces fits really depends on the size of the puzzle. When I built this one, it only just fit on width wise, there was still a bit of height left over, but not much - so based on that I’d say that 1500 or thereabouts is what you would fit on to a board. The Educa 6k that I’m working on is a little narrower, so you can fit on a few more pieces of that one, but not a huge amount more. Hope that all makes sense. Thanks for watching my videos 😃
Wowzers that was quick! 48h is far quicker han I managed. What do you use to 'tape' the sections?
He he. I kind of plugged away at this one pretty solidly, I was on a bit of a deadline with it so it’s probably one of the quicker completion times that I have managed to date 😀
I use blue scotch masking tape to tape them together.
How long did it take to sort the pieces initially?
I just looked back on my timings and it looks as though the sorting took me about 4 and a half hours or thereabouts 😊
@@Vickymakesandbuilds Thank you for answering..
How long did it take you to complete?
I had to go back and look at my notes, as I couldn’t remember! 😆 It took me about 47 hours 😍
in terms on quality how is he clementoni brand? ive seen a few pieces that are together
In my opinion Clementoni is high quality. I like the pieces, the quality of the image and the range of puzzles that they have on offer. They are also very reasonably priced. I do find that they tend to have a few of their pieces that aren’t cut through properly, which can be annoying - having said that, I have only really done their very large puzzles and I feel like the high amount of pieces stuck together would be more because of that. I can’t comment on that until I have done a few of their smaller ones - which I do have, so I guess I can get back to you on that one. I don’t think I’ve done a puzzle that doesn’t have a few pieces stuck together, and every brand has their ups and downs - Ravensburger, in my opinion, for example, often has waaay too much puzzle dust. It doesn’t bother me that much, but I guess some people don’t like it. Anyway, I hope that helps 😊
@@Vickymakesandbuilds sure it helps, ive done so far only Ravensburguer which i love, and Trefl brands, honestly i didnt knew Clementoni thats because they are not popular where i live, until i saw this video from you, thanks for you reply
Such a beautiful picture! I can’t wait to see wether you do another one of their puzzles. I agree, having lots of vibrant colours is so nice to work with.
(I added you on Instagram but it wont let me message you. 😬)
What is the name of your music and by whom?
It’s a royalty free piece of music I found on RUclips - here is the video ruclips.net/video/wYq5ymU3HIY/видео.html
Just finished this puzzle with my girlfriend, and we realized that 3 pieces from the corner are nowhere to be found. Since we are looking for to make a picture of this puzzle, Im going to make this 3 pieces in cardboard and put it together with the puzzle. Vicky, could you please sent me a photo of this 3 pieces so I can manage to print the photo in the cardboard? Im from Brazil, and bought the puzzle in another country... There is no place here to buy another one...
Hi! I’m so sorry to hear that you had 3 pieces missing!
I’m happy to send a photo, but I need to know which three pieces it is and also where to send it. I can’t put pictures up on here. If you check out the description in any of my videos - you will find my email address - you can message me there and I will try to get a picture for you 😊
