I will say that it is very difficult to be aware in an unconscious environment. I was in a work place where there were many unconscious people. While Eckhart's teachings helped me endure the time i spent there. It came to a point where couldn't take it no longer so i decided to quit. I realize that a toxic environment is more likely to change you than you change it and that's unfortunately what it came to. I had to take care of myself. I really tried to go deeper but i just couldn't.
I see your point, I am feeling sympathy. It's truly that is hard to be among unconscious people.
The point is, you may let them be unconscious, accept this fact, even "embrace" this fact. You could even have meditation on them, as a part of universal being, existence of everything. They are children, maybe cruel and unpleasant from some point of view but they are in pain at least due to the fact they are enslaved by their minds. And even this state of things better be excepted by you. You haven't to change, save or act at all, you may just be conscious, be at the Now, be in True Existence. And you will be an instrument through which the peaceful power of calm, truth and light will be shown, spread, going wider and wider. It will itself drop by drop naturally without special efforts change the word
His teachings are not meant to help you 'endure' anything... His teaching is to stop resisting that which you can't control, stop resisting the natural flow of life, and that is all you have done: you finally allowed yourself to quit your toxic work environment and move on. You see? When you were trying to 'endure' it, you were actually resisting change, resisting taking control of the situation and resisting the reality of the situation - the reality being that you have clearly outgrown that place, and it sounds like you knew that for a while. Now, you have finally accepted in your heart that you can't stay and 'endure' for whatever reason or another, and you really just need to leave, and so you are leaving. THAT'S following the natural flow of life, no longer resisting life, which is exactly what Eckhart teaches...
That was an illusion. They just tried to help you to dissolve your ego and you did not notice it. I had worked at a similar place and once I understood that on a deep level I actually loved them and they started responding to that light

Although they are unconscious. Evil does exist !!! That doesn't mean that they may actually have human side but being too accepting of these type of people can cost you your life 😮 there is a fine line there !!! Trust me I know. You can be a spiritual person and be accepting and kind and see people from all sides but when you encounter some of these highly unconscious people run 🏃♂️💯

Thanks Eckhart, in listening to the sharing here, the word expectation comes to mind, that it wasn’t so much the reactions, behaviors of others but more so my expectations. I expected others to know, respond, act as I would in any given situation, and felt confounded and baffled when that wasn’t so. See now that it was not people that let me down but my expectations as they weren’t realistic given that we all are where we are as we are in different states and stages at different times maybe and I cannot judge that but can adjust my expectations and see how realistic they truly are. Peace of mind now is everything. Thanks for this🙏🏻

What if I experience their ego shouting or complaing about other People, they want to tell me why they are angry about somebody, they want to share with me their anger, how to react, it makes me tired often.
Maybe there exist in the brain force that trains itself how reactive you can be, like getting too excited for no reason or you withdraw and shut down flow of communication or you open up more and communicate better by avoiding errors, so be like aware responsible and confident.

"Judge the sin not the sinner". If judgement still comes up. U can also look the thought n just laugh.

So true Brad! Prior to my discovery of Eckhart and other spiritual teachings, I saw the opposite as well. I had road rage and could see that it attracted others with road rage. If you're looking for a fight, you'll find one, or more likely, it will find you! It took me 48 years to realize that. These teachings really are life-saving!

What if the person im in relationship with talks a lot and I learn to ignore it completely but this hurts my soul. Do I just allow him to talk and talk and I don’t listen at all?
I know his true self isn’t the one talking, but when I bring out his true self, he gets really scared I think. Because I do too. Like his true self is protecting himself by talking a lot. It’s insecurity and fear.
What if I’m afraid of it myself, like of meeting people’s true self? Like it’s too real or something

How long before bots make reading the comments and views of all others as worthless? Such a shame that a tiny minority of unconscious egos have the power to spoil so much for so many without needing to leave their own home to do so. Technology allows the unconscious ego disproportionate power 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Let me break this down as I see it, logically.
But how do you know that when you become more aware to the the point of non reactive, how do you know if your state of awareness is correct as opposed to the one you are being non reactive too. Equally everyone has become more aware to the point of non reactive, so now their state of awareness is correct according to them.
Oh how awareness has affected interpersonal relationships created by so called teachers and Guru's. And this teacher thinks people have a problem with interpersonal relationships when he is not the one who ventures where normal people venture.
I mean can you imagine a teacher or a Guru going to a bar and talking to an alcohol affected by choice person who has just altered his awareness by choice by alcohol for a time period by choice. Who would be the non reactive person then.
It would be exactly like a non reactive situation where that alcohol affected person is unconscious by sleeping and then awake the next day and become aware and non reactive to a teachers mind set.
A teachers congregation and a bar congregation is still a congregation of choice, it's just one congregation does not have an agenda. I mean who really cares about interpersonal relationships unless one wants something from somebody.
If your EGO send and receive message tool is not operating, then you have not been enlighten by and with your presence within. Cheers, bottoms up. chuckle chuckle, like I said something important.
