super happy to see a disney animated film set in Nigeria!
It's the animated series
And it’s exclusivel on Disney+. Produced by Walt Disney animation Studios in collaboration with Kugali
u are so right
This series is really, really good! Very well developed and fleshed-out. I'm enjoying it. The messaging is more nuanced than many of the heavy-handed social messaging content being released these days. I love how each episode shifts focus on a different character while keeping the same perspective. Definitely worth the watch.
Just finished watching the series and it is amazing!!!! The animation, the story, the authenticity. I love that it is also sci-fi. Definitely refreshing and incredible storytelling. I’m impressed and I am not easily impressed. I must go to Lagos after watching.
When I was a child, I saw animation series that represented only one race, and as a person of color, animation/cartoons seemed to be predominantly white, with characters speaking in American accents. Now, I'm thrilled to see animation series featuring characters of various races and accents, like this one set in Nigeria. Kudos to Disney for becoming more inclusive.
Thank you my brother love from Nigeria
We are super excited for our talents, Simi and Siji!
😂 i love how they got the look of the driver when he gave him the money
Wow i really love how they did Nigeria🇳🇬my beloved country forever
I'm proud to be a Nigerian 🇳🇬🙏🏾
My sweet cousin produced some of the characters for this production and they look amazing. She worked so hard and it shows off 😁
This looks so COOL!🤩 I really can't wait to see this! This is gonna be AWESOME!!!
I love the movie... The characters did so well... I love seeing olabode's scenes, he nailed it😂... Kudos to tola. She did a great job
Ooh wow! And it looks so good!
SUPER!
I want more! Beautiful.
I honestly don't get the hatred for the show myself it is so damn colorful and creative
My Husband and I watched both the show and the behind the scenes documentary and throughly enjoyed both! I have shared my recommendation with family, those with kids and without, all will enjoy. 🇳🇪 ❤
I love the beautiful Disney trailer, the series is new, oh yes I love it very much, of course I will always remember this in my heart, many great hugs.❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗👍👍😍😍🎉🤩🤩🤩

Love it!
Where can i download it😢
I love it already is it out yet ?
Yes on Disney plys but if u r in Naija u have to use a vpn 😢
The only suggestion I would make is that the English subtitles would translate the non-English dialogue into English. There was much of the dialogue I did not understand. This did not really diminish my ability to follow the story or enjoy it (as context filled in most of the blanks), but I would have appreciated having the subtitles that I could read in my language.
No wahala means no problem or no worries & oya just basically means hey
Looks amazing I can’t wait for this show. Thank you Disney
So this is a backstory to how Tchalla and Shuri grew up?
Can you guys make wreck it Ralph 3 in 2025 too
I'm so excited to see this series very soon.
After actually sitting down to watch this/the trailer, it looks like fun. This should be considered just normal animation, but it isn't sadly in this day and age.
Present 4 Hours
I dont think anybody will be watching this
*HOLA SOY DORA*
This is a children’s show, which in and of itself isn’t bad, but I don’t know why Disney is promoting it on this channel as though it were for general audiences.
UPDATE. I have seen since the first 2 episodes of the show. It’s interesting and definitely walks a fine line between a children’s show and one meant for general audiences. It’s a lot more mature than I expected and has clearly had a lot of work put into it. For me the animation is just not as nice as I would have liked and the villain is a bit too cartoonish for my tastes. I do however plan on finishing the show.
Because it's made by Walt Disney Animation Studios (this is their first long-form episodes animated series) in co-production with Kugali. So it's not like other animated shows made mainly by Disney Television Animation.
@@TuboCremesi That actually makes more sense. So it's not the same creators behind content like Disney Jr. and such.
It's meant for a general audience. Some of the themes would not be fully appreciated by children.
Because it IS for general audiences. Any media marketed towards children is able to be watched by people of all ages. Do you not understand how media ratings work?
@@b1njjj95 I understand that it's able to be watched by people of all ages, but that doesn't change the fact that it's geared towards a younger audience. Sure, adults might enjoy this show but it won't have the mass appeal behind something like Moana or Inside out 2. Not just because those are sequels, but because they are designed to pull in adults and kids alike through richer animation, more mature writing and deeper themes. Again, if an adult wants to enjoy Iwájú, I am happy for them! But it's not going to appeal to the entire Disney animation fanbase.

The series looked promising but i felt some of the child voice actors should have done a more convincing job.
Why do all the characters look burned/muddy? So weird
This animation quality doesn’t look great for Disney
Is it just me or dose it sound like the n word
Please Disney make more original ideas from TV shows
Where is the diversity? Snow White in the Middle Ages is designed to be diverse, but in Lagos in the future there is not a single non-African person to be seen.
Is that Wakanda
stop believing movies too much
There is no such place or thing as wakanda, or even Nigeria Prince
@@Quickiefactsinggg so this is negeria ?
@@QuickiefactsingggI hate black panther! Black panther 2 was a complete waste of time and I'm south African I don't really care about this! I don't want another wokeness of this!
@@Quickiefactsingggit looks like south africa
@@katlegoassegaai9235you love Iron man
Why is Disney black?
what the fuck do you mean by this lisa?
Cold hearted person. The world has many people with different skin colors
Lacks diversity though
Which type of diversity hun?
*futuristic Nigeria* yaay looks cool
*still desperate haggling culture selling cheap beads and pots* noo 🤦♀️
Definitely for children but I hope at least they won’t think about that stuff
I don't know what country you are from or your age, but wherever you are, think back to 50 years ago and see if every single thing changed!
Some things will Always remain the same in people's cultures and lifestyles, plus you know its fiction, right?
The director of the show has the artistic licence to present his vision about a future while working with the team.
@@breathofhopeafrica1318 yeah that’s true - idk I thought it would be cool to show the place as being like a hub for e-waste recycling or tech good production. What I’m saying is I don’t think those market stand people will ever be able to afford a helicopter vehicle. Unless those things are very cheap..or the beads are actually very expensive!
I heard there are two classes presented in this series...so it just made sense and realistic anyway.
African movie be better then black
