Land Cruiser 80 series Removing the Block with an Engine Cherry Picker from the Side - Possible?

  • We finally got the remainder of the short block out of the engine bay on our 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser. We had to reposition the engine hoist to the side of the truck next to the fender to get it out with enough room to maneuver in our home garage.

    Nice work. I think I have that same (or similar) engine stand. I welded some supports on the arms because they can have a tendency to bend.

      That’s not a bad idea. I may do that to support it. It will be a lot heavier once the head and accessories start going on
