    First time in my life 3 days ago I didn't know what was happening I thought it could be my kidney or a muscle. 3 days later I'm realizing I'm having back spasms in my lower right back and it's radiating pain around my side and into my abdomen. Literally just realized what it was because it kept tightening when I did certain things or started walking or laying in bed in a certain position. Thank God it's only spasms. And suddenly I feel like they've stopped when I realized what it actually was!

    I have some sort of chronic condition. Tested positive for small fiber neuropathy and I shake somewhat head to toe. I've been on flexoroli,soma, now baclofen and every single time I get some relief for a week and then it comes back even stronger. It's like something is living in my back constantly spasming! It's taking the quality of my life away completely. Please any recommendations would help. It's honestly like your grandma I have done everything. I'm 25 and I think it makes it harder with doctors when discussing pain. I've had one neurologist tell me it's essential tremor and another dystonia , an emergency room doc said maybe parkinson's. IDC what it is at this point I just need it to stop. I have had this for 6 months now. Please any recommendations I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for sharing and so sorry for the experience you've had thus far! There are definitely things you can do to improve your symptoms! Might just take time and consistency, which is difficult

    So I fell back in 2018 at a structure fire wearing all my firefighting gear on a icy driveway (airpack and helmet Brim hit the ground HARD) it didn't hurt during the call but years after I now can't lay on my back anymore because my back freaks out the only thing that helps is weight

    I started to get lumbar back spasm after a medical branch block. I have 3 bulging disc l3,l4 $ l5 and severe arthritis in same area. Since my medical branch block I am getting spasm and when it happens I can’t move. The pain is so intense that I almost passed out. I could t stand up or fall down as the pain wouldn’t allow me to. It happens when I’m bent or squatting down and it’s like someone has shoved a pole into my lumbar area. Nothing helped the pain and it go away after a few hours. Surgeon gave me norflex muscle relaxer and since I started taking them I haven’t had another

      Hi Vicky, sorry you didn't find it helpful! For all things back spasm related, this is truly where Dr. Dom and I recommend people starting with. Stress is one of the main reasons people experience spasms. However, we did past reviews on back pain that you might find more beneficial and how to use the breath techniques we talk about on a past interview as well that you may enjoy more :)

    Since gym been closed due to lockdown iv been experiencing back spasms in the morning or at any random times,when i walk it ease off the pain but dont fix it.Iv always been hitting the gym wit heavy weights what should i do to get rid off those spasms for good so painful so frustrated pain killers not helping that much

    • @scunny
      @scunny 2 года назад

      If your still having these problems it worth trying to found out what causes your spasms. I had the same thing and it was due to disc herniation, after that i was able to get the right help and also adjust my way of training in the gym. With regards to gym, if your goal is to look aesthetically pleasing, lifting heavy has nothing to do with it. Power lifters who compete are the only ones who should risk lifting heavy, body building on the other hand just requires isolated, slow twitch/fast twitch training which can be done safely with light and medium weights. So unless your trying to be the strongest person in the world then just train lighter more controlled and isolated on each muscle etc.

    • @docjenfit

      Sounds like you could benefit from finding good, functional core stability and use breath work laying on your back to help calm things down! Hope this has been improving!

      Thanks for the feedback and comment! Spasms come in all sorts of severity. I know plenty of people who have had a spasm who can at least lay on their back and elevate their legs to breathe and start calming the system down. We have both also worked with many people who are having active spasms who can do minimal movements to start relaxing their muscles.
