But the truth is even in The USA 🇺🇸 , for all the talk of freedom there are people who are so hateful the LGBTQIA+ community is still not safe. As long as humans exists, sadly so will ignorance and hate, either for you race, religion, sexuality or just because. So we rise above and we live in love and hope one day they will join us. 💗🌹💗

i watched this show months ago, im here right now- crying like an absolute baby.
I watched Queer As Folk in 2007 the beginning are quite slow and sad ending for the last episode. But this movie is whole new level only first season I already fall in love and I can’t move on and I can’t even wait for new season/episode. Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey such a great actor! The storyline really touch my heart.
Unfortunately its only going to be one season. Its a limited series based on a book

The moment Babylon being bombed is the best episode ever where brian make a u-turn and rushing to that place to make sure his partner still alive. But Fellow Travelers is way more solid I guess in-terms of storyline great deliver by both actors. Now I’m not ready for the finale! Afraid I’m crying later.

There is another movie with Matt Bomer called The Normal Heart which came out in 2014. Also stars Mark Ruffalo, Jim Parsons and Julia Roberts about the AIDS epidemic during the Reagan years. I always hated Reagan but after watching this movie, I knew my hate was justified. Excellent movie but let’s just say I kept a box of tissues next to me.
Loved The Normal Heart. Mark Ruffalo tried so hard to save his partner, Matt Bomer. AIDS, what a horrible plague. So many beautif 3:49 ul people died all because conservative white men were afraid of their own homoerotic fears and tendencies.

Kinda resent Hawk without even watching the entire series I feel like Hawk ruined Tim s life .I can tell he made him fall in love with him then abandoned him .But at the same time I want to shake Tim , Hawk had so many red flags .At the same time both their lives were ruined by the time and circumstances they lived in , Hawk seems to be better of but he compartmentalises everything ,no one in his life really knows him
I know what he did in the book but let's see what he did in the series
Have not read the book .I'm basing it on how Tim is alone and sick in present day and Hawk is married and successful .Tim s sister also pointing out that he never got over Hawk implies he didn't live a particularly full life.

Thanks for expressing this. I find the Hawk character utterly disgusting. And men like him still exist today; they want to have their cake and eat it too. I chuckle when the prominent ones gets outed.
If u hated him then you missed the point of the show…there are many hawks in today’s world as well..hiding …they don’t have the courage to come out ..ppl who have been robbed of living a normal life …they are just so scared that if they do something they like openly the whole world will crash..I can only sympathise with hawk..
I haven't seen this series other than clips, but it makes me angry how they have deviated from the novel. The series bastardizes the novel into a cheap soap opera. I don't know how Andrew Mallon could have approved of this. Maybe he sold the rights and had no say in it. Awful.
