- I saw a post that sparked a discussion I wanted to have further regarding the introduction of the rated mode of Battleground Blitz coming in The War Within.

People like that are the reason why PvP is almost dead. Its impossible for a new person wanting to approach pvp because the gatekeepers. Casuals need to get in and get experience. If they stick with it they will learn. Cant wait for BG Blitz my self!
I think it might impact initial low cr battlegrounds but as good people move up it wont be so impactful
Played 7 games since pre-patch, won only 1. How you supposed to climb when yout team just sux?
@someone_else303 I think you might be gauging the situation too early. Once season 1 starts alot of things will be different amd I'm sure alot of players will be more diligent. I don't think anyone really cares too much about prepatch

People have to start somewhere. I think it’ll overall be good for the community. Also they need to add a PvP renown track akin to plunder.

But in all seriousness.... its impossible to get into a m+ group if you are 1 single gear score point under the maximum but for pvp we get to suffer thru the worst of the worst players because all they have to do is press a button to join.
I'm going to be getting back into PvP thanks to this new mode, it's everything I've wanted for WoW PvP. I don't understand the complaints about casuals when like you pointed out, it's a rated system and people will get to where they belong sooner or later.
In the past I'd just be a BG hero and only started with arena in BFA till I hit 1800 to unlock t he plate transmog in S1. Same thing in SL and DF. Really loved solo shuffles but the queue time just made it not worth it. Finally having something that seems much better than RBG's seems awesome.
I've only ever played bgs for the ~15 years I've played WoW so this Blitz stuff sounds pretty good to me. Always preferred objective-based gameplay with an emphasis on teamwork rather than the Overwatch style gameplay of Arena where every member of your tiny squad has to pull their weight.
This mode is perfect for beginner to enter pvp and casuals. But yes, its kind of annoying when you get team against a full duelist/elite team and your with a bunch pveist or low rated player.
But if you're a try hard pusher in pvp i dont think youll main this mode, its fine the way it is and we need more people to play pvp lol. Pvp is like 10-5% of the player base and 50 of it probably only do random bgs lol.
People cant focus objective. So its already a clown fiesta
Casuals are an important part of any healthy game. The more people playing pvp means blizzard will be more likely to give pvp support and atttention. Good vid👍

if you consider yourself as a hardcore pvper then you should not be afraid of being in the same rank as casuals, but if you somehow end up in lower bracket it's not you teammates fault lol
i am a bit tired of how people treat arena as the stepup game from bgs

yeh true I think if you compare it to other games arena is just a deathmatch, BGs have an objective and it has more facet to it.
People dont know how to play BG since 2005. Players still doesnt know they are suppose to capture the flag. Instead they fight in the middle...
the narrative for gatekeeping content from "casual" players is not helpful at all
Im a multi Hota/2.4 player and i startet just yesterday with blitz and im already 2035 rating. What i noticed is that most players doesnt know what they are doing like alot of 1.6-1.8 ce people would be never on that rating. I have to say solo is a shot mode with alot of bots and already alot of people abuse it with sync quing.
I don't see the problem. More noobs means more people to crush. Isn't the very point of PVP to crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentation of their women, and have them rage whisper you?! Like...why do people even PVP if that's not the goal?! Numbers?! Ratings?! Titles?! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! NONE OF IT MATTERS!
Right on - love this video, thank you for covering this topic! Enjoyed your point about the highlight of RUclipsrs. Love PvP - can't imagine WoW without. I am a bottom feeder at this point - trying to learn all the addons and stuff to become a bit more sophisticated - time will tell - really want to be a contender in Battleground Blitz!
In WoW PvP, you are either great, or you are cannon fodder, there is no middle ground. High rated players love farming low skill players, that is the problem.
After 50 games of rated solo blitz I’ve learned that there is a mode more frustrating to play than shuffle. Being in a game where team mates clearly don’t understand how each map is played and just fight mid. I feels like a massive waste of time to play this mode.

I was gonna write down an elaborate comment on my experiences as a new player with battleground blitz (and pvp in general) after returning to WoW at the end of season 4. But I won't, because any and all experience you ever have in this game will be dissected as "lol you just suck". All I'll say is that my experience with rated BG blitz has been beyond miserable. And the majority of toxicity comes from other inexperienced players, not veterans.
That's why I'm hoping at least for the guides that I'm making I can help people enough with macro play to be able to find success with the game mode. It's actually a night and day difference when you only have people playing for the team fight versus people actually doing their part in objectives. I'm not mechanically exceptional by any stretch and was able to go on an 8 game win streak this morning from just playing objectives and communicating strats with my team mates.
I'm sorry your experience hasn't been so great. If you're on the NA region I'd be more than happy to duo queue with you
Use the ingame minimap and go back and review losses and you can almost always tell why your team lost and who screwed up.
I can see in the game on the mini why we are losing lol. I usually go back and look but for me at least I usually can tell in real time.
@@Mhortai I miss things that are happening elsewhere on the map when in a big teamfight. Like people capping a node and then leaving it totally undefended.
We lose because tards ignore the objective and fight in mid the whole time trying to do as much damage as possible. Capture the flag and take and hold bases are not complicated concepts. They are ABC 123 levels of simplicity.

Does casuals mean tards who don’t play the objective? I had plenty of those games when I first tried this mode but over time I swam through the swamp of derp and made it into the brain cell area where people actually know what day it is. So I believe “casuals” will ruin your first games but eventually you endure and get out of that putrid swamp.
Screw it go RBG and have fun.
As a player who is 2k+ in rbgs 3s and solo shuffle. Doing that push put me off from all of it. It's incredibly toxic. I wont even bother with solo shuffle anymore because of how toxic it gets with really long queues. I love rbgs, but I hate the community. I like blitz, but if you think it will fix the problem with pvp honestly I hope you are right because pvp has been my favorite game mode in wow since tbc when I first tried arena.
Similarly to how I feel as well. I never pushed for HotA/HotH because of how insufferable the RBG community is at the higher end so I would stop around 2.1k, but I still loved the mode for the core gameplay of it. We'll have to see sometime in October or so when the TWW Season 1 has been going on for a month to see if we're right or if we're way off the mark. I'm hopeful though at the moment!

Blitz is crazy sweaty and it is amazing
The Market fight in Deepwind Gorge actually goes so crazy. I've never had as much sweat with this game mode than I do in that particular instance
Sorry to break it to you. WoW PvP is a meme game mode in WoW. I am not sure why people who enjoy PVP combat partake in WoW at all. PvP was shoehorned into WoW in a misguided attempt to retain a specific player base. It has NEVER taken off. This has left a endless cycle battle of balancing PVE gear with PVP gear.. and it has never been satisfied. Ask yourself, If a game has been around 20 years and it still doesn't offer the PvP experience you are happy with, Why would you continue to play?
the reality is if casuals flood pvp, then they will be on both teams... lmao who cares.
the 2 healer in you team will determine everythiung if they suck you cannot do sht.
You will probably just have to healer/dps stack and try to que with another healer/dps stack at the same time so 4 of you can get the same game, just to get through all the low mmr braindeads

Bro this mode isnt even fully released and average RBG andies are crying about that people need to learn this mode. The vast majority of players wasnt able to play competetive RBG because there was like only 2-4 teams which was fighting over and over again, even with alts. So how should people know how to play it? Like common, rbg inbefore wasnt about skill, it was about nepotismo.
I was lucky enough to experience learning RBGs through a solid guild group and since a lot of us were newer at the time (SL Season 1) we were able to learn together. I'm hoping that by the end of TWW Season 1 most people will have an idea of what they should be doing and also with these guides I'm making we can elevate everyone's knowledge to have higher quality games. But yeah, totally agree, RBG Andies are jumping the gun and overreacting wayyyyy too soon. Most people I know haven't even tried the mode until pre-patch because they just don't play Brawls whenever they're available. I'd expect similar findings with a lot of other players.
With my luck with world of warcraft..... the rng gods will ALWAYS put me with the sub 1600 players and always put me up against the 2100+ players and I'll be forced to grind to 1800 while carrying a mountain on my back. With bgs I am literally NEVER on a good team. Blizzard ALWAYS puts me with the worst of the worst kinds of players. 😂 oh and i cant wait to win a game over 1800 and only get 13 points of rating and then the next game i get rage quitters and trolls on my team and i lose 45 points.... its gonna be so fun battling the rating system!!!!
Do you duo queue by chance? I just went on an 8 game win streak last night because having that 2nd player who you know is also going to be working on objectives will tilt the scale heavily in your favor. I definitely feel your pain though sometimes when I'm playing solo and have also had some really tilting loss streaks thus far (especially on Silvershard Mines, LOL)
I love pvp and am basically a new player I used to watch a lot of wow content but everyone is just so negative on the game. Watch enough videos and I’ll be convinced not to play even tho I’d of been having a great time

Know what gonna say it I say normal not high end but sure as hell not casual player enjoy pvp let casual in so Hardcore go arena bg my mind is supposed both experience and hardcore alike casual maybe defense slowing opponents just long enough. Sh been times do sh on my rouge so I opened try slow stun be annoying when I started do that I noticed doing better we won bg among other things. Find casual welcome bg even rated ones my eyes. As long as talk say what doing we good. If hardcore player being a hole Ingore them sometimes best way learn is to fail

Anyone with sub 2200 arena exp across multiple seasons should never ever allow themselves to call another a "casual" in PVP.

Nice video, but as a player from the vanilla game, PVP is actually the most play activity ( duel, world pvp, all casual bg and rated) PvE only have the natural questing, dungeon and raid ( raid are cap per week); even because probably you are relative new to the game, the game was a pvp driven game that was the ultimate end game is in the name "war" Craft; you end the raid then do pvp; over time was pve taking the spotlight do the arena elitism mode that negate the existence of skill and rewards of all other form of pvp, is the rated mode that is no popular do to elitism, player that no invite classes that are not meta and the worst is the networking; the most high rating people you know, more easy to get in the system. win trade, carrys, mmr smurfing ( that is what pikabo do BTW even venruki admit it) is no that they are bad in the game but generate a dishonest community interaction. Player base is no 1600 to 1800 by skill but by incentives is no about time is about a good experience playing the game.
