Well, that's your opinion. Personally, I thought the anime parts helped the video feel emotional. That is, if you actually watched Halo Legends. I understand that you may be talking about the consistency of the video footage and I should stay with the video games only, but this is more or less in the same style as Fu11Meta1Spartan. I'm sure you haven't heard of him, but he makes Halo music videos mixing up video game footage and anime footage. I'm a fan of his, so I chose to make this video in the same style he does, since he typically uses music in this genre. Don't worry, I know your type who aren't used to seeing anime footage, but I'll mix up my videos. Some all video game footage, others mixing up with anime footage.

I think there were too many jump cuts. Couldn't savor memories. Really good video none the less, but it could've been better. Unlike some of the other people, I think the anime helped it out. Sometimes Halo Legends was more emotional then the games, mostly because they were less about empowerment.

The ability to savor memories from the games, having a "mini story" to tell, as well as having synchronization with the effects would make a good music video. Perhaps more transitions would've be better? I thought jump cuts were quite appropriate. I wanted a sense of urgency, so I used jump cuts, then I needed to keep in with the tempo of the music. If transitions would've been better, I'll take note of it. I used a lot of transitions in past videos. I thought of this as an improvement. I'll find a balance between jump cuts and transitions.

Personally I didn't care for the anime, but that's a matter of taste. Overall an entertaining video; definitely keep it up.

Okay, I understand why you wouldn't understand it. But allow me to explain my line of reasoning when setting up the video. Recall the part of Halo 4 "Do you believe the Master Chief succeeded because he was, at his core, broken?" - It's concentrating on Spartans and soldiers whose lives were broken because of the war. So while the quote concentrates on Master Chief alone, Halo is not all about the Master Chief. It looks at the bigger picture first - the war - then proceeds to start with Master Chief and Cortana. That's the storyline I set up. It's meant to be a build up leading to the main storyline. The anime parts from Halo Legends are fitting when seen in the light that it showcases soldiers with no emotion - and end up making a sacrifice that isn't expected from them. And all these are past events - leading up to Master Chief and Cortana.
