That was beautiful... Love the Halo Universe and story. It's been epic, extraordinary, astounding and just plain awesome. Never thought that in Halo 4, I'd feel so emotional throughout for both Master Chief and Cortana. I love Halo so much. Such a great universe... Rock on 343i, and thank you Bungie!

Every five or six years I come back to videos like this to reflect. Halo & Call of Duty gaming montages were everywhere, Red vs Blue was the show everyone was talking about, XPlay on G4 was still active, services like xFire and GameSpy Comrade were trying to compete with the likes of Steam. DRM services like GFWL were everywhere and developers still use DRM for their games. Some things haven't changed. We knew Halo _might_ eventually come to PC but people had been asking for so long that it seemed out of the question. Then Bungie wanted to end their contract, and went to work on a new IP. What was fun for us to play 10-15 years ago as kids, will be experienced by people that were our age today.
It won't all be the same. Some of us are even parents ourselves. Most people I knew from those times have moved on with their lives, ended up in jail or dead, or I forgot their gamertag from that one match we played before going to school. At 23 I still feel old thinking about it. I don't fit in with society, I don't care about much of the new shit people are into these days. Making new connections seemed easy, but as you get older keeping those connections is harder. When you're a kid you don't care about anything else until it hits you. It's harder to look at yourself and not compare to the likes of others. Sometimes you want to go back and never have to accept the world for what it is.
The gaming industry has changed, the culture not so much. People still enjoy pre-ordering games, but the issue isn't preordering, it's how most times when a game is released they have poor performance, they're half-assed, downgraded husks of what developers show at E3. Microtransactions are more prominent than ever, DLCs are usually skin packs, Remastered games are just reskins and mobile games still suck ass. Companies like Blizzard, EA and Treyarch were still at the top. World of Warcraft, Need For Speed, Black Ops II, the constant comparisons between Battlefield & Call of Duty, the neverending console wars. These games are still there, people enjoy them, but going back to a game just to remember what _used_ to be fun about it isn't the same. Games aren't made like they used to be. Time changes things. Virtual reality, streaming on Twitch, the list goes on.

I feel it in my bones, enough to make my systems blow : Circulatory System, etc because of the radiation, or like all the government systems|
Welcome to the new age : The new age. covered by games like fallout 3, it's the age where we destroy ourselves|
I'm RADIOACTIVE! : He's an outcast of society from his past life, they all avoid him. Or he's just radioactive from the toxic chem's|
I'll raise my flags, we'll paint it red, to fit right in : This is a way to show that their camp for survival is taken and it's part of a revolution to build civilization, to fit right in means that there's others and he's part of it, not a social outcast. or, this could mean there's a war going on still, as paint it red usually means paint with blood|
Don my clothes, : well, he means antihazard clothes to survive|
This is it ; the apocalypse... : Well, that's obvious. The nuclear apocalypse|
I'm breaking up : That's mainly because day by day, he's dying because of the radiation|
All systems go, the sun hasn't died.... Deep, in my bones... Straight... From in side.... : He just means the apocalypse hasn't happened yet. This could also hint that he might have started this. Also, when he says the sun hasn't died, he could mean that everything is perfectly fine. Or he's saying that the radiation blocks the sun, giving the impression that "The sun died".
