The aztex 28-32" is a awesome choice. They are lite clean out well and arent to stiff of a tire. And the tread spacing is good also its a great buy for the price and perform awesome! The outlaws seem to do good as well this is one of the first vidoes I've seen to put them to the test. Great video appreciate the content and opinion on both tires yall stay safe and looking forward to more videos. I'm excited to get back riding this year here in Florida👍
Great video! the one time I've had the aztex out I've been very happy with them. I was looking at the outlaw max's as well. I don't think you could go wrong with either.
Nice work Guys! Of course things rarely go to plan when filming a video.🙄 The other thing to see over time, is how well the treads last on hard pack and roads. I found the Aztexs wore down considerably after a year. BTW nice tunes, must have been inspired by some of my older videos. 😃
We’ve had so many issues over the last year with GoPros. We’re thinking of making the change to DJI. We are curious to see how the Outlaws hold up from some trail riding and hard pack riding! And we must have the same taste in music! 🤘🏼
I got a 23 outlander 1000 xmr I have been thinking about the terache Aztec in a 30 inch they say that they are 1 pound lighter than a cryptid your video is very helpful those outlaw max tires look awesome too keep up the great videos and ride safe
For the price of the aztex, they are a great choice and pull good with the tread spacing and not so stiff. They will wear down a good bit if you're on the road a lot, but it's all around a good tire choice. Being that you have a canam 1000 go with the 32s, they're only 1.5lb more. Just depends on what kind of riding you do, I had 28" maxxis zillas, and they did great pulling wise and rode awesome, and they come in a 30x9x14 also. That's another one to look into and they weigh 26lbs, that canam would sling the crap out of them they surprised me but in deep water the aztex, zillas will float. But I would follow crypids allday with a little more work they get the job done.
Ive ran both also I feel like the outlaw max shined in thicker mud and in holes with ruts that you couldn’t turn the wheels in to ride a rut. They skim pretty equal power skims I’d say outlaws but speed skim aztex. 12 pounds of air are definitely to much air for them though in my experience. The previous owner of renegade actually bought those tires from me😂
Yawl need to try the maxxis Zilla plus tires I swear only thing I had to compare to was outlaw 2 and silverbacks but they held and didn't slide I would like to see the comparison
love these video's. i am stuck so no biking for me for a while lol. gaskets on the way but cant get ehaxust stud's out. on a 01 grizzly 600. i love the outlaw's but aztex would be more trail tire in my mind.
Great vid as usual! Love to see comparisons like that also, there is an event this weekend call stuck in the muck spring sling at Adirondack Motorsport park in NY, do you guys know anything about this event ? Was looking into it but it’s a 4h30 drive so not sure about it.
Yes we will be going. It’s an awesome park to ride at. They have everything for all kinds of riders. If you do mudding, there’s many types of mud. It’s probably one of the most fun parks we’ve been to. 🤘🏼
@@LetDirtFly nice ! I’ll be looking into it ! Only thing I need to clean up my clutch add the epi white spring secondary and change my belt last mud run I did Monday my belt started making weird noises, still not sure if I’ll be done in time, is there a place we can sleep on the site ?
I'm debating between 3 tires for my rzr 900... 33 in. outlaw max, 33 in. aztex, or 33 in. xm310s... I decently care about tread life, but mainly with the way I have mine set up and drive... I want to be able to have good wheel speed through holes... Which would yall recommend?
Yes you are correct, ply usually has to do with load capacity, but in the ATV world, we consider the more ply more puncture resistant with most tires. There’s more layers of rubber and the construction of tire to help resist punctures more than a standard 6 ply atv tire. Most ATV/UTV tire manufacturers actually advertise the 8 ply as an upgrade for puncture resistance on their websites. If you do a quick google search, you’ll see this topic covered a ton 6 ply vs 8 ply. The down side of 8 ply on an atv is usually a heavier tire and also a harsher ride quality since the side wall doesn’t give as much.
@LetDirtFly that's not how radial tires are constructed. Bias ply tires had more "ply" to get a better rating, but the 6 ply or 8 ply rating on radial tires is an equivalency rating when you compare their strength to the old rating scale. It doesn't actually mean they have more layers, or even 6 or 8 layers at all. Often times radial tires have 2 actual layers even if they carry a 6 or 8 ply rating. A higher ply rated tire is indeed usually tougher, but it doesn't correlate to puncture resistance at all. Before you tell people to "Google it" you might want to give that a whirl yourself.
I think you’re missing out on the fact that almost all ATV mud tires are Bias Ply construction. Very, very few are radial. If the manufacturers of the tires are advertising that they offer more protection, are you implying that they’re lying? I mean, anything is possible, but I think you’re looking into this as other vehicles besides ATVs. Why would ATV tire manufacturers want to make tires that are less protective against punctures? I get what you’re saying and I’m agreeing that you’re correct about PLY rating, but the ATV/UTV world doesn’t really follow that “rule”. Example, ITP Cryptids are 6PLY and have a load rating of 1070 @ 18 PSI. The System 3 XM310 are 8PLY and have a load rating of 1020 @ 18 PSI. Weird that the 8 Ply can’t carry the same weight as a 6ply…If they followed the “PLY Rule”, shouldn’t the 8PLY carry more weight?
lol just lost the gasketst i guess that were on the way.second time in a row. and out of stock sooo lol. might have to spend alot to get gaskets so might be down awhile. good old ebay.
GoPro mic adapters and purple panda mics off Amazon. We’re actually getting rid of everything GoPro and starting from scratch with DJI. We’ve had so many audio issues and videos lately. We actually both talked over each timed run, but our GoPros recorded no audio which is why there’s music lol 🫠
It’s always easier for the second bike because the first bike has to go through everything that is settled down on the bottom that’s all soft and not been touched once the first bite goes through there. It clears it out and makes it easier for the second bike that’s just common sense, I don’t care what anybody says come here to South Florida where the real swamp is will show you how crappy them tires are on the black bike

The ply count relates to weight rating, more ply doesn't necessarily mean better puncture resistance.

So the crawl speed the outlaws appeared better?
Does the yellow xmr 650 have a lift? Were there any issues with rubbing with the 30” laws? Debating 28 or 30 on 18 650 xmr
No lift. The 30's didn't rub.
what tire pressure u guy's got when u went threw the swamp. i fell like the outlaw's should have been better
We had 12PSI in both sets of tires. Although the outlaws were awesome, the Aztex are a tire that still surprises everyone.
