    Nice video! The front and rear drive shaft connect to the same shaft in the transmission, turning the same side too... That put a lot of stess on the engine support... That s the problem... And if i was you, i would try the steering stopper that you can buy from brp when you put track on your atv. Those are cheap and would stopped the rubbing. And i would like to know if yours taking a lot of time to warm up when you start it cold? Mine take a lot of time especialy if i take off to fast with it ( the air going trough the radiator) i think i have a bad thermostat but canam told me it was normal

      Man I love when people say they've never been stuck... that literally doesn't mean anything without proper context. I've been stuck multiple times on 33s clearly we are riding very different trails. The stock tires are objectively very heavy for a mildly effective 28 inch mud tire

    • @DavidDallas3343
      @DavidDallas3343 10 месяцев назад

      It might be a combination of the fact that a lot of the mud that we ride in is not super super thick, & also think my weight has a lot to do with it 2 because
      I feel the quad always grabbing the mud But I plan on getting assassinators Here soon so we shall see

  • @romankaletinets6750

    So, the weight of the stock 28" tires mounted on disks is about 23,5 kilogrammes, pardon me going metric. What's the weight of the stock disks then? I am going to sell my BRP XTP but I want to keep the original beadlocked disks and put them on the XMR.. It's a shame BRP doesn't offer beadlocks with the new XMR G3. However, if the stock XMR disks were not that heavy, I'd keep them. My only concern now is the gross weight of the quad. It is a bit on a veavy side compared to Yamaha or Honda and we mostly get swamps over here where I live, rather than trails, and light weight is a key factor.

    • @MudPuppyOffroad
      @MudPuppyOffroad  10 месяцев назад

      I don't remember off the top of my head but I have weighed those Can-Am stock beadlocks and they are kind of heavy for a 14-in beadlock. They also don't work great with tires that have thinner beads

    • @romankaletinets6750
      @romankaletinets6750 10 месяцев назад

      @@MudPuppyOffroad would you recommend me to keep the XMR rims then? I've got Maxis Zilla 28" and will use them with the new XMR if I finally buy it. Choosing between a Yamaha and a BRP XMR 700. Due to the blasted sanctions, Yamaha has got no dealer's support over here, and BRP has been keeping the dealership network and getting spare parts is not a big issue. And I am still looking forward to the true figures of the new XMR's weight. I do not believe in the monstrous 395 kg dry weight. From the videos in the Internet, a 51 HP quad performs too well for a 400 kilogrammes behemoth.

      @romankaletinets6750 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@MudPuppyOffroad No need to weigh the new XMR. It is 380 kilogrammes on stock tires. Plastic gets fragile when temperatures go below zero. My friends have just come back from a day long test ride and gave me their feedbacks.

    Miss the talon content, what was the reason for the switch? Just curious. Is portals worth using on a talon?

    • @MudPuppyOffroad
      @MudPuppyOffroad  10 месяцев назад +1

      Primarily the front locking differential. Portals kind of ruin the handling on a sport machine but it's the only way to turn bigger than 33 is reliably
