people like yann tiersen have shown that today it's posible to make music so good that can beat the time and the preferences of the music styles in the common people
Listen to it since it came out. I was always in love with the piano as an instrument and yann tiersen made me as a young child realize how it speaks to my soul. No one can beat him, for me. He's no mozart, no beethoven. For me he is far greater than that, rather just being a "genius" (he is, for me), he has the talent of putting pure emotions into his compositions. And that is was counts for me. (Not trying to bash the great Mozart or something, but it's just my simple opinion about my own taste).
Check out Nils Frahm. Tiersen and Frahm to me are the best. ruclips.net/video/Aln6DztAsMQ/видео.html this song is slow to build but totally worth it if you can hang around for the entire thing. You will not be disappointed!
"Let's live in an enormous world of sound we can use randomly, with no rules at all. Let's play with sound, forget all knowledge and instrumental skills, and just use instinct" Amazing and inspiring quote from Yann tiersen. if the world did this it would be a better place.
This wonderful moving piece of music has been in my life for many years and from the first day of hearing it I fell in love with Tiersen's music, and then went out to buy every CD he has released. This piece also reminds me of the only love in my life, my only true love Cecile, who is also French. I guess we punish ourselves longing for those people to be still around us, however they treated us, such is life eh? You have done this piece true justice in your performance of it, well done. I wish I could play like you.
Seriously. NO. It's a nice song and the performance is fair but the singer obviously is nervous, her voice is trembling. Besides, it doesn't even feature the wonderful sharp violin solo of the original.
